Zach Starr and Jovany Salinas were my technicians and did a good job. Especially appreciated that Zach worked with me on pricing concerns for cleaning an old waste line and catch basin.

Emmanuel and Geo were great. They communicated what was going on and kept us informed throughout the sewer pipe lining project. The only problem was in having the right size cap on hand for the clean out at the end of the day but they assured us that would be rectified tomorrow morning.

Hydro-jetting—vs rodding every 6 months— is the way to go when you have a 75 year old house. Not only did it clear the sewer line, but revealed future problems down the road, so that we can make decisions with confidence. Edgar, the technician, shared videos every step of the way, and answered an extensive amount of questions. We now know that we can avoid some worst case scenarios, and can approach this in a more cost-effective way.
Pricing is not cheap, but I believe it’s the going rate on the North Shore of Chicago.

Patch added to clean-out pipe after video indicated there was a leak in the pipe. Kurt and his asst. showed up on time and explained what they would do and how long the work would effect our normal routines in the house.
Work completed and area cleaned up when plumbers left.

Greg S did a great job replacing my water heater and finding a different leak causing another issue. He throughly explained it and the situation, along with the importance of fixing it quickly. He went through everything at the end to ensure I understood the new system.

We had J Blanton reline our sewer pipe, and they did an outstanding job! E & G were the crew who handled the work, and they were absolutely amazing—professional, efficient, and very thorough. They kept us informed throughout the process and made what could have been a stressful situation easy and stress-free. The results speak for themselves, and we couldn’t be happier with the service. Had leak in bathroom from shower/tub and they came out within 1 hour to review and make repairs. We ask them also to review our plumbing in general and sump pump, water heater, etc because it is an old home. The make recommendation for repair and replacement of dated systems near the end of their lives and we felt quote was reasonable and work could be competed in just a couple days so we accepted.

I reached out to the company and Zachary was here in less than a week. He was very knowledgeable and professional. He told us what the issue was and answered all of our questions I would recommend this company.

Kyle was terrific!!Replaced a water heater, found and replaced a huge hole in water heater exhaust system caused by a leak from a pipe overlying the exhaust system pipe . Essentially saved our lives …potentially. He worked efficiently and finished the job in a few hours . An absolute keeper.

He went above and beyond due to two items that were missed in the estimate. He ended up going to home depot twice. I ended up with the exact opposite new toilet from what I wanted but that was not his fault.

Edgar was awesome to work with. He was super communicative, walking me through the issues and potential solutions. He worked quickly and was super respectful the working area. He also pointed out other potential opportunities for our system to be imporved further. Great experience overall!

My recent experience has led me to believe that J Blanton is deceptive, overpriced, and not trustworthy.

They recently charged me $1758 to change a simple tub faucet that took them less than 1.5 hours to install.

The company admitted in text that I was mis charged. However when I called J Blanton customer service several times, I was redirected and transferred on every call, and have not yet been refunded.

Since then, I have consulted with several other plumbing companies who have informed me that this very simple faucet replacement should have cost less than $500 to replace (no drywall repair or any form of complexity required).

This experience was extremely disappointing, expensive, and continues to be time consuming as I am left with no other choice than to take this to small claims.

I would not recommend J Blanton to anyone. Beware!

We had a slow-draining sink that finally stopped completely. J. Blanton sent Ron, who was so nice and clearly a knowledgeable professional. He successfully cleared what he said was a pretty tough clog and even gave me a hot tip on how to clean my sink faucet head using CLR. Fantastic experience. Will definitely use them again for any future plumbing needs!
