Dimitri came in and took care of business. Punctual with a smile and fast at diagnosing with an explanation. Igniter part was replaced with no problem and no comment that my wife neglected to clean the oven before the appointment. For this reason I had to give him 5 stars.

We had a great experience with UltraFix! My dishwasher and washing machine broke the week of thanksgiving and they got someone here right away. The dishwasher was fixed before thanksgiving which was pleasantly unexpected considering it was the holidays and we were grateful it was fixed in time. It was very easy to schedule everything online and the work was completed quick and seamlessly. Our technician Vlad was friendly and professional and gave us good advice on the repairs. We will definitely use them again in the future.

I reached out to Ultra Fix to fix my Frigidaire oven door. They did a great job. The first technician was able to fix the initial problem however realized that there was a deeper issue with the original hinges when he attempted to put the oven door back into place. Due to the placement & structure of our oven, they needed to call another technician with the special tool that would lift the oven out of the wall. A week later another technician came, (Igor) and he was able to remove and replace the oven hinges and put the oven door back in its original position. Both technicians were courteous, professional, and got the job done. Thank you!

1 Star – Avoid This Company

I had an absolutely terrible experience with UltraFix and feel completely scammed.

They sent a technician named Vlad to look at my dishwasher (not powering on) and microwave drawer (not heating). He was in my home for less than 10 minutes and did not open or inspect either appliance internally. Without doing any real diagnostics, he claimed:

The dishwasher “needed a new computer”

The microwave “needed a new magnetron” and would take 2 hours to fix

I pointed out that the GFCI outlet was tripped, the plug looked burned, and there was no power at the outlet at all. When I asked how he could possibly diagnose a bad computer with no power, he couldn’t explain it, opened Google Translate, and wrote that he “knows his job” and “doesn’t need to look inside.”

That’s not diagnosing — that’s guessing.

For the microwave, he claimed he could tell the magnetron was bad “by the sound.” There was no sound.

Despite knowing something was off, I paid the $168 service fee.

After he left, I inspected the dishwasher plug myself. It was clearly burned/shorted. I went to Home Depot, bought a $5.98 replacement plug, replaced it myself — and the dishwasher turned on immediately and works perfectly.

So:

The dishwasher did NOT need a new computer

The unit wasn’t even getting power

The tech completely missed an obvious electrical issue

He tried to sell me an expensive, totally unnecessary repair

This felt like either extreme incompetence or an outright attempt to scam me.

I will be requesting a full refund and will be attaching photos as proof. This was one of the worst service experiences I’ve had. Do not trust this company to properly diagnose anything.

Unfortunately we decided to use this company. They were the cheapest service call, but that's it. They are not responsive at all to their customer. I was kept waiting on 2 occasions for them. When they finally called or showed up there was no apology. The cost for labor and parts was way too high, this I found out AFTER they were scheduled to come to our house. The worst service ever experienced!

John, the technician, was great and replaced the parts needed in a timely manner. Highly recommend!

The technician was very nice and polite and called to make sure he could come earlier than anticipated. He did an excellent job clearing out our dishwasher as it was just clogged!

John is the best appliance technician around. Knows how to fix literally anything, super thorough and knowledgable, has unlimited patience when it comes to checking and rechecking that everything is working perfectly. Also really pleasant. Absolutely highly recommend to all!

I have to admit I was hesitant to call Home Appliance Services as they had no reviews. Turned out my doubts were unfounded. I needed washing machine repair. The guys were able to diagnose the problem quickly, get the part and install it the same day.

Found Glenview Electrician Contractors through a neighborhood group where someone posted about panel upgrades. I'd been wanting to upgrade ours because we're adding a hot tub next spring and the current panel probably can't handle it. Reached out through their website and someone actually called back within like an hour which never happens. The estimate appointment was quick, the guy measured everything in the garage and wrote it all up on the spot. We scheduled the upgrade for two weeks later and it went smooth. Now I just need to actually order the hot tub before my wife changes her mind on where it goes.

Stated with a small electrical issue and turned into finally getting a few things handled at once.we had a breaker acting up,one switch that was unreliable, and had been putting off asking about an EV charger install because I figured it would be a hassle.It wasn’t.they talked through what was realistic for the setup we have and what we needed to happen first,especially with the panel.that part helped a lot because I did not want to guess my way through it.scheduling was straightforward and work moved along without a bunch of back and front.they kept it clean,answered questions as they came up, and the charger install looks clean and works exactly like it should. The repairs are done too,so now a few nagging electrical problems are just off the list.

With a wide range of electrical services available, this company proved to be out go-to for all our electrical needs

Hiring a licensed electrician from this company gave us peace of mind knowing that the job would be done right.
