I've used Davey before and am a satisfied customer. They check all the boxes: quality work, professional engagement, responsive and on time.

This company comes out in the country and parked on our property with out asking us. I go up to mow our yard and field there’s 2 Davey trucks parked with machines on the back of them but not one person around to talk to. I'm mad because this company does not have the decency to come down to the house and ask me if it’s okay. They just do what they want when they want. Very unprofessional and now I have truck tracks through my field and yard.

The Davey Tree Service is great. They let me know when they will be out at my home for service as requested and if I have any questions are willing to answer them. My trees also are and look very heathly.

We have used Davey for a number of years, have received excellent service and would recommend them.

Had some trees thinned out to try and let more sunlight in the yard. One of my trees was butchered as the trimmer got to chatting and not paying attention to what she was doing. Management came out and basically said I should have managed his worker. No apology - that would have helped a little instead of giving excuses for malperformance. Going with different tree service going forward.

Finally after unsuccessfully trying to self treat my 25 year old Magnolia, I called 3 companies to treat the scale infestation. I chose Davey because they really explained everything to me, how the scale operate and how they will treat it, and they were right on time. Thank you for saving my tree.

If you're in the Naperville area here is who you use for all your Tree, Shrubs, and Grass needs. Outstanding Company! I use them for all my Trees Shrubs. A Mature Tree is Priceless Call ask for Pete the Arborist for a Quote. Been using them for 10 years.

Davey trimmed and sprayed our fruit trees. Last year we got our biggest harvest ever -- 8 pies' worth of cherries, many 5-gallon buckets full of Asian pears and apples, and our first paw paw harvests ever. Yum!

I had a big spruce in my backyard that had died and was threatening my home. The team at Davey were quick and efficient in the removal and were reasonably priced. I would recommend them to anyone and use them again.

Did a great job and really quick. The only things is on the day they came out to cut my trees, the guys were laying in my yard before getting started. Then walked into by backyard to get to get to work without talking to me. Kinda weird to see guys just walk into my backyard without saying hi and going over what then need to do because they did more and less then what I needed.

Unprofessional, rude, short tempered, inconvenience strategy. Tree crew block led off main artery to condo complex at lunch time. As I went around one of the workers threw a cone down in front of my car as I was about to turn. Immediately a field rep, I suppose a supervisor, came hopping towards my car very irate and screaming at the top of his lungs. I asked him what gave him the right to scream at me like that? This guy began to rant on how they were cutting down the tree. I reiterated you are about to start, and you working just threw the cone down in front of my car. He then raised his screaming to another level. The other female worker began to chime in about my car being crushed. If that were the case then why is the main artery being shut down at the busiest time, and why hasn't the complex warned by the tree company and at the moment of execution the company just then laying down comes? Very poor execution, communication, and the reaction to confused customers is screaming and yelling? I don't recommend this company for service.

We have been working with the Davey Tree office in Naperville Illinois for about 3 years now. The health of our trees especially those that are most fragile has improved greatly. The crew, office staff, has been exceptional to work with.

Davey Tree lived up to my expectations in every respect. excellent advice, excellent tree pruning, well-informed, friendly, helpful technicians who did the work. I will use them again.

Neighbors ask me why I pay more for the Care of Trees to watch after my trees than other, less expensive services. Matt, Sam and Erin came by to remove deadwood and thin out the canopy around my house. I have close to fifty trees with several 40 and 50 foot high ones, including two huge black walnut trees. They were curteous, professional and were very careful not to drop branches on any of my bushes or other plants, fences, benches or other yard ornamentation around the house. They cut down and removed a lot of branches, some very good size ones - and they left the yard cleaner than they found it. When they left you would never have known that they were there - the care they took in raking, sweeping the driveway and picking up debris was awe inspiring. Thank you.

The old tree was removed and new tree was placed. Very happy with professional service!

I worked directly with Tony Brugger, their certified arborist. He was very knowledgeable and worked with me on a variety of concerns in our yard. He was patient with various changes to our plan and always prompt in responses to questions. The crew that came out to do stump grinding were friendly and super helpful. Unfortunately, the proper grinder (small one was needed due to narrow access to our backyard) wasn't available that day, so they contacted their home office and it was corrected and completed in just a few days. They even helped us haul out some large tree trunks that day! Very happy with their services thus far. They are more expensive for some services, but if you need professional work done and specialty information from an arborist, this is your place!

I engaged Davey Tree to address four large mature trees. I wanted dead branches pruned and suckers removed. In addition, I needed a large dead spruce felled and the stump ground.

The team of four arrived on time and got to work. They had notes on my wishes as expressed to Pete upon his earlier visit. All trees were thoroughly addressed and cleanup after the work was satisfactory. The fellows were very agreeable to deal with.

My only complaint would be that some of the sectioned branches dropped onto and damaged existing landscaping. One large falling branch hit one of our windows and nearly broke it. I am not sure how to direct these branches away from vulnerable areas but I believe it is reasonable to expect some additional care to have been taken.

It was a frustrating experience with The Davey. The arborist visited our property and after that sent me a proposal. I wanted to know more information about his treatment plan and emailed him back. I have never got any reply after it! Moreover, I called him to figure it out why I still didn't hear from him and he ensured me that I would get a reply by email soon. It never happened! I am just curious how the company with such a good reputation can afford to behave this way?
