Western Dupage Landscaping is made up of great people - and that made all the difference for us.

Tyler and Matt were both so earnest in their desire to make things perfect for us. Their crews are very friendly, hard-working and they also aim to please. They don’t miss the details; like a thorough cleaning and tidy up at the end of each day’s work, which is important - so there is zero reason for complaints from neighbors or the village.

They have all the equipment- large and small machines, which was a great benefit to us because the configuration of our lot required machinery that could fit into tight spaces.

The design process with Matt was a delightful experience. He really listens and cares about your vision. He offers a wealth of knowledge and advised us well.

Tyler is extremely efficient at managing the crews and coordinating material deliveries. He made sure every detail was attended to before the project was completed. The outcome is beyond our expectations and we LOVE it!

We have worked with Matt Haber and the Western DuPage Landscape crews a couple of times. Each time they have exceeded our expectations with the quality of the work and the professionalism of the crew. I have LOTS of ideas for every landscape project we start. Matt listens carefully and spends time talking through potential obstacles and unintended consequences for every idea. I would say that WE create the plan because he does a great job moving my vision into my yard. When it's time for installation, the crews are quick, clean and skilled. I have used WDL for 2 pretty large projects on a very difficult, tight, steep lot. We have a third project starting soon. I trust them completely!

First off, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this firm for just about anything you need done. As others have also said, they do OUTSTANDING WORK. A few months ago I had them install a French Drain for me, as well as pulling out a number of dead bushes and replacing them new bushes. All their work is top notch. And they leave your property without a trace of ever being there. 100% clean up. But it's not just their work, they are a GREAT VALUE!! And everyone I dealt with from this firm was a total professional. They actually answer their phones and return calls. I also got the bid for the job in a matter of hours ... hours!! Not days, or weeks like some other firms, but same day. It was a pure pleasure working with Greg Fassnact in developing the plan for my house. Wendy and Michael answered all my inquiries pronto. And Charlie and his crew were quick and efficient in getting everything done. Thank you again for the work you did for me. Can't say this about everyone, but it truly was a pleasure working with you all. See you next year.

Solutions oriented, friendly hard working team, highly recommended!

We have been waiting to write this review to make sure our system had been tested with the most that the change of seasons could throw at it and we have to report 100% success to our projects goals. Our family can now rest more comfortably after the Ware team installed a drainage solution that had been plaguing our property for decades before we ever moved in.

From our first meeting to project completion we were thoroughly impressed. Starting with Michael's quick understanding of our multi-tiered issues, to his personal project spec and program, to the Ware team who delivered a gorgeous solution to us, (and our neighbors who we had to intrude on their beautiful yard in the middle of the summer). Keeping everyone happy, they quickly and professionally handed us back a beautifully irrigated yard that performs beyond our expectations.

UPDATE - maybe 10 years later? MASSIVE rainfall in Naperville mid-August - neighbors all report rivers of water and high levels of wetness. I grab my morning coffee, peek out my blinds, and see my yard has been drained effectively and I say to myself - Team Ware is STILL exceeding my expectations.

Just hired WARE for drainage issues in the back. They did a beautiful job!! We are so happy with it! Geronimo and Charlie the leads were so polite and communicative asked if we had questions and came through with expectations throughout the job! Our yard is now usable and the path around our garage is gorgeous! We are so happy with their work. My only complaint is Michael upon quoting stating that they would add electric… he was throwing that in. A typical salesman I’m giving you this for free. But what that meant was burying the electric extension chord in PVC, in the yard. I didn’t ask enough questions. There were multiple miscommunications. And in the end, he said we should have our contractors add an outlet, since they are coming in the Spring anyway. Disappointed. Just make sure you ask questions.

Other than that a great experience and happy we chose Ware.

Ware Landscape has been a lifesaver for me. I found myself physically unable to keep maintaining my lawn and flower beds. Ware stepped in and did a fantastic job. The flower beds looked great all year.
When a storm knocked over one of our trees, I called and thrr we y quickly sent a crew to remove it.
They have also done a great job keeping our driveway and sidewalks safe and clear throughout the Winter.

The Ware Landscaping crew came out this week and did a great job removing 5 huge arborvitae trees, a raised planting bed and installing a French Drain system in my yard. This three-person crew worked continuously, for two days, digging up and hauling out the old grass and plants, trenching for the French Drain and laying sod. When the job was completed, you didn't know they had been there. Thank you very much....

Ware installed an entire French drain system around the perimeter of our home to help prevent flooding that we had unfortunately been dealing with. Our project was certainly extensive and they worked so hard to make sure we have ease of mind. We really felt that Ware cared about our situation and designed the best solution to help us. Our neighbors also took notice and told us how hard they saw the crew working throughout the week, keeping the site clean and that our house looks great now. While we haven't had severe rains in several months, we are looking forward to the spring time to really see the system in action. We highly recommend this company!

Ware Landscaping recently designed and installed a French drainage system for my yard. They did an outstanding job! They are very friendly, professional and knowledgeable! Their owner Mike took care to insure the project was successful and that I was completely satisfied! Communication and supervision was exemplary. I highly recommend Ware for any drainage project!

Ware Landscaping installed a drainage system and regraded my yard in Lisle in 2021. The workers did an excellent job of transforming a yard that constantly had standing water puddles and poorly growing grass into a space that is dry and good grass cover. Our dog really appreciates the good yard to play in. I recently caused a minor issue with a component of the drainage system. Ware Landscaping came back and fixed the problem --- FOR FREE! I highly recommend Ware Landscaping.

Ware Landscaping performed from start to the finish of contracted work with Professionalism and Respect. The team understood and completed the work as promised and cleaned up all materials and debris leaving our residence as when they arrived. We've had other landscape crews over the 25+ years we've been here, and none performed at the caliber as Ware Landscaping. 5 STARS and then some.

UPDATE June 11. 2025 -
I’m very happy to report that the issues posted in this review in December of 2024 have been completely addressed by Ware Landscaping! They not only corrected the issues with the out-of-code drainage, but went so far as to complete another related landscaping project for us beyond just removal of the system that was insufficient. The result is tremendous and that part of our yard has never looked this good. Huge thanks to Mike and his crew for going way beyond what we requested to make things right. Ware is willing to go to great lengths to right a problem, and for that we are very grateful! If Google would allow a six star rating, I would give one to Ware! :)

From December of 2024-
Ware Landscaping completed a drainage project for us in late 2023, with the understanding that additions or changes could be made to the solution in future if needed.
It became evident in early 2024 that the drainage solution was not effective to resolve the original problem. I also determined that a part of the solution was out of compliance with local code. I reached out to Ware by three different methods through the summer to ask for a consultation so we could plan next steps. The only response I received from them was that someone would reach out to me.

Nobody did. Ever.

We ended up paying another landscaping company to come install another solution.

The lack of response is inexcusable. The lack of care to adhere to local code is negligent. It would’ve been great to partner with this company for a complete solution to our drainage issues, but as it turns out we will not be giving any more business to Ware Landscaping, as they don’t seem interested in making the problems right.

Ware just completed a major project for me. They replaced my 27 year old french drain which was not working, regraded the entire back yard, sodded the back yard and mulched. The entire process from getting the estimate to job completion was outstanding. Everyone I had contact with was excellent. The crew was extremely hard working and did a quality job. There were a few things I wanted done a little different than what they did. No questions asked and they immediately changed these things. The entire process was pleasant and when I did have questions they were quick to respond. Greg, Geronimo, Charlie and the entire work crew were the best!!! I highly recommend Ware if you want excellent customer service and top quality work. Thanks guys for a job well done.

Ware Landscaping created a beautiful stone patio, planted shrubs, and installed a very effective drainage system for me a number of years ago. They came when they said they would, and the price was exactly as quoted. They provided very professional and courteous service, and answered all my questions. Now I need drainage in a completely separate location, and I am turning to Ware again. I'm sure they will be able to help me. I feel confident that I will be quoted a fair price for an exceptional system.

I went through an extensive vetting process to hire a company to reset a 80 foot retaining wall and to enhance my drainage system.

I chose Ware Landscaping due to them being a local company and because of their amazing reviews. They did an amazing job on my Naperville property. They fixed my buried downspouts, laid 800 rolls of sod, 16 arborvitae and a ton of landscaping/flowers. They worked extremely hard, showed up everyday and Jeronimo was incredibly helpful and went out of his way for us. If you want professional work with high quality products these are your guys.

Ware Landscaping removed all of my weed infested lawn, installed a french drain to combat a terrible erosion issue, regraded my property and installed fresh sod everywhere. Price came in as quoted, and they were also flexible when I asked about add-ons such as mulch. They also worked with me to schedule the project work during the week that was best for my family, which was wonderful. 10/10, would recommend.
