I had Penco install a generator for my home in Chicago. While they were very prompt and professional in the beginning, it has been over a year and I have not passed inspection.

After the initial install I had a leak during the winter time. The city came out and shut my gas to the entire house off. Penco was quick to come and fix it however the permitting process has been less than ideal.

I have had to stay on top of them to schedule the inspection and permitting. Once I failed the inspection they have not followed up with me and stayed on task. I constantly have to call and check in with them to make progress.

Very happy with the installation of our new whole house generator. Vasili and his crew were not only efficient but very informative throughout the whole process. The finished project looks and works great. Here’s hoping that it gets little use but we are now covered if needed. Highly recommend Penco.

We are having a pretty major upgrade done by the Penco team. They’re highly professional, excellent communicators, and show a great deal of expertise and enthusiasm. My team, Paul Thomas, Isabel Vargas, Keith Bruce, Vasili, and Zeus are awesome. This work is making a very important improvement to my house, so I’ve been grateful to have such a great team.

Had Penco do some electrical repairs in my house and garage. I spoke with Cindy to make all the arrangements and they were all great! Cindy was friendly and professional and set everything up with all the easy I did not expect. The electrician were professional and neat.

Our experience with Penco was outstanding. Marion visited our home twice through the sales process; her communication skills and technical knowledge were top flight. On the day of install, Orlando, Vasili and the team came early, were extremely diligent and industrious but also interpersonally warm and friendly and really thoughtful about keeping an eye on all the new plants and flowers we'd recently put in. Coincidentally, our locksmith also made a visit the same day and shared that Penco had installed his whole home generator 10 years prior. He spoke very highly of his decade long relationship with Penco and even recognized one of the technicians at our home that day from his own install 10 years ago! We highly recommend Penco.

I am writing this review for my dad who insisted I do this as (he’s not tech savvy) and felt so strongly about his great experience with Penco. The entire staff was very knowledgeable which he appreciates, as a retired engineer he knows a lot about electricity and is a no-nonsense type of guy. Keith handled setting up the order and explained the process thoroughly and Edgar and Jesus did the install and he couldn't be happier with the experience as well as the pricing. We had Penco Electric install a Generac 24kW whole house generator at our home in Crystal Lake. The job was completed on time and very competently. Vasili, Russ, Orlando and Anthony, the Penco installation team, were very conscientious, polite, friendly, professional and competent. Communication throughout the initial inspection, pre-installation planning period, and almost two day project installation was superb. Marion, the initial inspector and estimator, Karen, the in-office coordinator, and Vasili were extremely thorough and clear in their explanation of the project and installation, answering all questions thoroughly and patiently. Orlando did a superb job doing final site preparation while being careful of our landscaping. Clean-up was thorough and in-house work was left spotless. It is not fun to incur substantial cost in something that we do not use or see everyday and something we hope we will never have to use. Having said that, Penco and its superb installation team has given us peace of mind with absolutely no headaches. We would not hesitate to recommend Penco Electric to others and to use them in the future.

While we have not had an actual emergency to employ the new backup system, it has been successfully self testing since installation. The peace of mind from having this in place is substantial.

Very professional and informational. This was a tough install due to the nature of Mount prospect codes but Penco did a great job on generator placement and running of all lines which was not easy! Not five stars just for a few things I thought could have been better. Cleanup was great but flower pots not put back where they originally were and some costs were not explained clearly and caught me by surprise other than that I would recommend Penco for your whole home generator install!
