We bought our house in Oak Park about four years ago and the electrical was mostly original from the 1960s which meant a lot of things weren't up to current code. We had been meaning to get it all looked at but kept pushing it off until breakers started tripping every time we ran the microwave and toaster at the same time which got old really fast. Called Eltrix and the electrician they sent was really impressive honestly. He spent a good hour going through our panel and testing circuits throughout the house before even talking about what needed to be done. Turned out we needed a full panel upgrade which sounded expensive at first but he explained the reasoning and walked us through everything so we actually understood what we were paying for. They scheduled the work for the following week and the electrician showed up on time both days, really clean and organized about his work. He labeled every single circuit in the new panel which our old one never had and that alone has been incredibly useful whenever we need to flip something off. He also upgraded a few outlets to GFCI in the kitchen and bathrooms while he was at it since he was already in there. Since the electrical work was done we haven't tripped a single breaker and everything in the house just runs smoother now.
