Electrical reviews in Oak Park, Illinois

had a scary sparking outlet in the guest bedroom that smelled like burning plastic so i called eltrix right away. they prioritized the call and sent someone over within two hours. fixed the melted wire and replaced the receptacle super fast. glad i didn't wait on this one, could have been bad. appreciated how quick they were to respond, definitely keeping their number for future stuff.

Eltrix sent out a really good electrician to handle some work we needed done around the house. had a couple outlets that were sparking when you plugged stuff in which was honestly freaking me out. the guy was thorough, checked every outlet in that room and found a couple more with issues we didnt even know about. fixed everything in one visit and swapped out an old breaker he said was a potential fire hazard. prices were fair and the electrical work was done right.

Used Jerry to replace an old fuse box with a modern breaker panel the work was clean and passed inspections with no issues. They cleaned up all the old debris and left the basement tidy.
professional from start to finish
Would recommend

They installed a whole-house generator for us, the kind that kicks on automatically when power drops. The unit sits on a concrete pad next to the AC condenser and honestly it's pretty quiet when it runs, like maybe a little louder than a dishwasher. The transfer switch they wired in is what really matters though because it handles the switchover in seconds, we tested it by killing the main breaker and the lights flickered once and came right back. Fridge, sump pump, internet all stayed on. My dad keeps asking me what model we got

I used jerry electrician for a few things around the house over the past year. started with replacing a broken outdoor floodlight and then had them come back to add a couple outlets in the basement where we set up a home office. the basement job was the bigger one obviously but they quoted it pretty quick and the price didnt change after. i keep a list of stuff on my phone to batch together for the next visit, think we need a ceiling fan put in the bedroom eventually. solid work both times

After our longtime electrician retired, we were nervous - but these guys were great! Noticed some outdated wiring we didn’t know about and fixed it affordably.

At first, I wasn't sure about the estimate, but these electrical services were worth every penny. Our home feels so much safer with the upgraded panel.

Quick, competent, and honest. What more could you ask for? Highly recommend for any electrical job.
