We bought the perfect Christmas tree and wreath here. They were all fresh and well kept. Best of all the service was great! One of the owners had our tree nicely wrapped and placed in our car which made the experience so easy. Great people!

Another Review- Wanted to give Jim a shout out. I needed more hydrangeas this spring and Jim made sure to put them in their upcoming order for me. They came in within a week! They look wonderful as all their plants do. Jim Melkas Nursery is my go to for great quality plants and customer service.Thank so much Jim!

Awesome Nursery! I was searching for strawberry sundae hydrangeas and they called me as soon as they got a new shipment in. Great customer service, quality of plants, and reasonable prices. I definitely recommend!

I am so pleased with Melka Landscaping. I have been using them and couldn’t be happier. They came out a few years back to fix another landscapers messed up work and did a fabulous job. I recently had them change out a some bushes and it looks amazing. Bryan has been great, he always responds promptly and is so easy to work with. I would highly recommend using them.

I have bought about 17 trees these last two years from Melka. The trees are growing beautifully and are so healthy. Melka also did the planting of the trees and I can't say enough positives about the care they took ensuring they were planted properly, to taking care of the lawn as they are wheeling trees, dirt and mulch around our yard, to getting a call personally from the owner the next day to make sure my husband and I liked how the trees look and to take the time to give us the watering instructions. I appreciate this business and highly recommend!

Got 1 cubic yard of compost. Before buying, I called 2 different times and spoke to 2 different women about it. I looked at different companies and decided to go with Jim Melka. I mentioned to them that I am looking for ORGANIC compost for my organic vegetable garden. They assured me multiple times that it is "organic." Upon unloading the compost, there were large pieces of plastic, bags, and even glass. I do not want to be eating veggies grown in plastic. This is why I am asking all these questions to begin with. I've purchased compost from other places, and I did not have this issue. They simply told us,'it happens, sorry.' Unfortunately, I will not be a returning customer.

Had our old high maintance bushes removed on our house and re did with low maintance plants. Bryan designed, and his team did a great job, very happy, they did items not contracted or charged for, went beyond to make sure my wife and I were happy.

Super friendly staff! We picked out our tree and some fun handmade gifts. Highly recommend going and checking them out!

I will rate them today with a 4 star , because I am second time here doing delivery. They unloading me really quickly but they don't have overnight parking. At least you can find the parking on the Same street at Jewel Osco, and to enter at their facility is easy to do backing

Picked up a facecord of oak, a lot of it was deadfall that was split up. That’s not necessarily all that bad, but a lot of it was punky and weighed as much as a tissue box, it burns up immediately. Didn’t realize it until I got home and had to restock. Staff was super helpful loading the truck. Wood 0, staff 5. I rounded down….

I absolutely love my poinsettia from Melka’s! 10” pot at a great price! The stores can’t touch these prices. I highly recommend Melka’s for all of your outdoor needs and more.

From our first meeting with Bryan Grill months before the project started, he was nothing short of an ultimate professional. He sat with us allowing us to lead yet, would make suggestions and advise when we were not being realistic. His computer imaging with details about the images allowed my wife and I to feel comfortable with each decisions made. The crew were professional and always arrived on time and cleaned the area upon ending each day. Bryan followed up to monitor the growth and to water/fertilize as needed. I wish I could give 7 Stars - My wife and I thank you for bringing beauty back to our sanctuary.

Our family has done business with Jim Melka's since 2002. They are a real family-oriented, friendly place.

We have bought flowers, shrubbery of all kinds, dirt, and Weber grills and charcoal. They always deliver, assemble, and connect our grills for us. It is especially nice that they are close to our townhome complex; just over 1 mile away. And if the owner is around, he will take the time to have a few words with you.

The staff is always helpful. They will load heavy bags of soil or fertilizer in your vehicle. You can usually always find what you're looking for in the way of vegetation. Glad to have them be a part of our community.

Jim Melka Landscaping did the original landscaping at my house 20 years ago and I've continued to hire them over the years because they always do EXCELLENT work! Most recently some trees and bushes needed to be replaced (they came to the end of their lifespan) and Melka did an excellent job again! An Autumn Blaze maple tree, Redbud shrub, Little Quick Fire Hydrangeas and Boxwoods were planted making our landscaping look brand new. Bryan the landscape designer was great to work with and the crew (with Henry still at the helm) worked hard making everything look great. Thank you (again) Jim Melka Landscaping!

I had a wonderful experience with Bryan one of the designers.
He came through on everything we discussed! Jim Melka has a great crew of workers. They transformed my back yard to a whole new view. When they were done, you didn’t even know they were here.
Bryan also had an excellent idea to refresh my front landscaping after some 20 years of overgrowth!

Nice Garden center, shop and plenty of greenhouses - came in the autumn for mums and prices were very reasonable and comparable to local.

They seem to also have events for families at times and a section of stone merchandise

I'm so happy that I went with Fenn for our landscaping refresh. It was a seamless process from start to finish. Kathy worked with me every step of the way. I highly recommend Fenn!

I hired Fenn to do some landscaping in our front yard a few years ago. When some of the plants did not appear to be doing too well I called Cathy (the person managing the job) to discuss my concerns and she assured me that it takes time for some plants to fully mature or develop. During that time, we decided we no longer wanted to work with Fenn however Cathy continued to reach out and in retrospect I should have called her back. This is relevant because when the plants did not bloom again this year and I reached out to her she said that it had been 2 years and because I didn't call her back she couldn't help me. Remember that I didn't inform her of the problem and she told me to wait another season. I asked to speak with Jill (the owner) and I can see now why this place has poor reviews. I was barely able to explain half of my story before she cut me off and told me she "didn't care" about some of the story. She was curt, abrasive and rude to someone she had never spoken to before. It just amazes me that people do not have basic communication skills. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Jimenez and Sons is beyond better and much more professional.

Contacted Fenn for landscaping estimate for pool installation yard renovation. Cathy we easy to work with, professional, and a great vision. We didn't go with them on thos project, but we will use them in our future landscaping needs.
