Absolute TOP NOTCH extremely professional service. Did my house landscape lights, and laid brick by my fence that my dogs had turn to mud. Both jobs turned out beautifully! Cody came back on his own at night the same day to ensure the lights were working. He was as excited about the job as I was. Cody came out from Tri-State Outdoor Living and was the only one who actually gave me a real solution. I had a French drain put in the backyard a while ago that never worked and every other landscaper I talked to just wanted to sell me another one. Cody pulled out a laser level and showed me how the yard needed to be regraded so everything pitched properly to the back easement and into the sewer. No guesswork, just straight answers and results. Roberto the foreman was great too and the whole crew did an awesome job. Super grateful I found these guys

They did all new landscaping around my house with plants and stone, and it looks incredible. Super clean, thoughtful layout, and it totally transformed the space.

What really stood out was how Cody solved a problem I’d been dealing with for years. I was getting water in my basement and had the crack resealed three different times, but it kept coming back. Nobody could figure it out—until Cody showed up. He realized the yard wasn’t graded properly and water was pitching toward the house instead of away from it. He regraded the yard, and ever since then, no more water in the basement.

He also did a picture design for us before starting the project, which cost $175 and was totally worth it. Me and my wife were able to make two changes to the design, and it helped us feel confident in what we were getting. Being able to see it before anything was installed made the whole experience even better.

You don’t come across people like Cody often. He’s knowledgeable, honest, and genuinely cares about the work he does. We couldn’t be happier

Called this morning to see if they would be able to help us with snow removal ... I felt like I dealt with a jerk he had to put me on hold and came back with 450 dollars a month rain or shine wanted me to sign a contract and he was trying to tell me they use a special machine so they dont ruin "those pavers" definitely not going to recommend or give them any business! I am reviewing you so my review comes up and never call you!

The Tri-State Outdoor Living crew did an amazing job! They built a beautiful patio by the water with a neat sitting wall and installed pretty cobbles stones around my entire Lake front. They made a fun beach for my family and added a great walkway to my front door, plus new mulch and edging around all landscape. They even fixed up 10 steps from the water and repaired my kitchen. They're located one hour and 30 minutes away in Chicago but were always on time. I paid a bit more for their travel, but it was so worth it. A big thank you to Tri-State for making my place wonderful!

Requested a quote for a french drain repair and Cory refused to comply stating I need to fix my slope. That's fine but I needed a trench or french drain for the pipes exposed. He is not customer service friendly and refused to quote for the job requested. Maybe he is just disrespectful to Women. I would not recommend this company. So Tri State maybe can't install trenches or french drains.

We had a wonderful experience! They removed overgrown trees and brush and went out of their way to make sure we had top notch plants to replace them. They added a retaining wall and completely removed our patio steps and built them exactly as we wanted them. Thank you Cody for doing a fabulous job!!

Cody, I'm still waiting for a reply for when you will be repairing my sprinkler system.
can you provide info on which sprinkler companies you sent to my residence. I can show you the statements, for the sprinkler system being used, from the village where i live. The Better Business Bureau tried to contact you as well and you never responded to them. The sprinkler pvc pipe broke after you drove the bob cat over the lawn. Remember you and your crew began fixing the pvc breaks that you caused, even backing into my lawn vase. after jose said it broke when you guys were trying move it, and only after I reviewed my security cameras, which showed you backing into it and driving. you only admitted to doing so, after i showed you the pictures. And, Ilearned that you were not registered to do work in the city I live in. I guess I''ll be contacting the attorney generals office after this.

Edited since this place is much quicker to respond to a Google review than actually perform work.

Reached out to this place for a very simple and small retaining wall and some grading work. Was assured they had availability and that the work could be done quickly. Was told this job would take a crew one day at most. Paid $200 on that assurance. After taking my money, this place took nearly 2 weeks to render designs that look nothing like what was requested or promised, and will not be able to perform any work until November. It is very clear that this place never had any intention on getting this done within the required time frame.
