Chicago Flooring did an excellent job putting in new LVP and carpeting in our Lincoln park condo. Very good attention to detail, nice work around all the edges / door frames, plank seams nicely varied so the pattern isn’t too obvious, carpet nice and clean around the edges. Good work! Communication was very good as well, with Nick answering all my questions and concerns in the weeks leading up to the installation. Highly recommended.

I recently hired Chicago Flooring to refinish the wood floors in my condo and replace the existing carpeting, and Nick and his crews were a pleasure to work with.

I was particularly impressed with how knowledgeable Nick was. He was able to answer all the detailed questions I had about both the wood flooring process (including stains and finishes) and the carpeting options. That made me feel very confident in the choices I made.

Just a few days in, but the quality of the installation and the finish looks great, and his pricing was more than reasonable. I highly recommend Chicago Flooring for any of your wood floor or carpeting needs.

Nick came out to give me a quote for vinyl flooring for my living room and dining area. He was honest and straight to the point. He turned around a quote to me super fast and was able to schedule the installation the following week. He was very responsive and easy to work with. On the day of installation, their crew showed up at 8am sharp and did a fantastic job. Super thorough, hardworking and able to get everything done in just a few hours. I am extremely impressed with this company and happy with the way the floors and baseboard turned out. Extremely fair prices, overall a great experience. Definitely recommending them to anyone needing their floors done.

I worked with Nick to have luxury vinyl plank flooring installed in my condo in Chicago in June 2025. Everything went alright, he was somewhat responsive, and the installation team did a decent job. The floor isn’t completely level, and it’s very noticeable in some areas. I also asked about baseboard options but never got a response. The baseboard they installed looks nice, but I found it odd that I wasn’t allowed to be involved in choosing it, considering it’s my home and my money.

About four months later, I noticed that one of the planks had broken because the floor beneath it is uneven. It’s right by the entryway, so it’s very noticeable and would be an issue if I were to sell the condo. I wasn’t angry because I understand that mistakes happen in construction, but I messaged Nick multiple times and never got a response. The messages were delivered, and that’s how we primarily communicated. I also called the store three different times over four days and was basically told to contact Nick because they hadn’t seen him. I told one employee that Nick wasn’t responding and asked what I should do, to which he said, “I don’t know what you should do.”

I don’t think it was too much to ask to have my floor repaired after only four months, but I was treated like I was being needy and annoying. I suspect they’ll respond with a story about how Nick never received my messages, which is obviously untrue. Even if that were the case, the store should have followed up with him and made sure he responded. Bad customer service, I regret using them. Once you’ve paid, you’ll be ignored.

Excellent company to work with! Professional, timely, tidy, and most importantly very high quality work. Our bathroom project was tricky to say the least and Stephen and Vunzai knocked it out of the park! Their diligence in planning ahead I'm sure saved us tons of headache we may have had with most other contractors, and any problems that did come up were quickly solved. Cannot say enough good things about them!

Vunzai and Stephen Coen were great to work with on our bathroom repair project. We had a lot of questions to make sure we are all on the same page, including subcontractors. Once the project was underway, things moved on time and all subcontractors were great.

They were great. Steve oversaw the basement remodel. He personally is a gifted carpenter. He had great suggestions to make the project stronger. He recommended the subcontractors. (Plasterers, plumbing, flooring, painters, and other carpenters). He reviewed the subcontractors work before they were paid. They cleaned up after each stage of the project and the work was completed in a timely manner. Vunzai (co-owner) kept us informed about the scheduled workers.
The work was great and the final price was very fair. My wife and I will use them in the future and we have recommended them to friends.

Choosing Coen Construction Services for our Timber Tech decking remodel turned out to be a GREAT choice (a friend referral) as the outcome exceeded our expectations. Stephen and Vunzai were professional and pleasant to work with on such an extensive project. The entire crew were punctual and the detail of workmanship was impeccable. We would highly recommend this company and plan to use them for future projects.

Stephen was a total pro on this project, and came in with a very reasonable quote for the project which ended up evolving a few times over the life of the project as new ideas would spring up. Stephen and his team took down our old rooftop deck, small breezeway deck off back of home, replacing both with a beautiful new cedar structure. Additionally, we tore out all our existing concrete in breezeway and in rear to install a new drainage system to alleviate water build up after heavy rain. Stephen was always available to answer questions and extremely communicative on timeline during entire project, especially when delays popped up (due to heavier rain earlier on in project). The construction was top flight from notching the 6x6 beams that support the pergola into the deck frame to reinforcing our garage door opening with new laminated beams after some sag was discovered due to improper construction of original garage/deck. Would highly recommend CCS, and have already done so with several friends/co-workers, looking to have any work done on their homes. Were so pleased with the results, we already have a large second floor remodel out to Stephen we were looking to complete prior to the arrival of a new member of the family this fall!
