We hired Synergy to do a “light remodel” of our main floor: new hardwood floors, trim and repainting everything. They communicated well throughout the project, stayed on schedule, and handled the inevitable couple of surprises well. The quality of their workmanship was excellent. We are favorably impressed and will be recommending them to friends.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Synergy on a kitchen remodel and I cannot express enough how impressed I am with their exceptional team and craftsmanship.

From the very beginning Adam and the team demonstrated a high level of professionalism and expertise. They took the time to understand what we were looking to do and provided valuable insights and suggestions that enhanced the overall design and functionality of the kitchen. Their attention to detail was evident in every aspect of the work and everything was executed to perfection.

Communication was seamless throughout the entire process. Our on-site supervisor Will was incredible and he and the team have an app that keeps you up to date daily on all the things that are happening, what will be happening on each day, etc. We had a pretty extensive project moving windows to new places, closing up other areas, etc. and from the first day of the hammer in the wall until the cleaning crew left was 7 weeks to the day. UNBELIEVEABLE. We had one issue come up during construction and the team took ownership, fixed it at their expense and it was just a small blip on the radar because they so quickly owned it and addressed it.

We lived in our home (with a 3.5 and 5 year old) during the 7 weeks – and dare I say it was still almost a stress-free experience. One of the things I appreciated most as a parent was that they seal off the area so everything remained so clean in the remainder of the house. We sort of were just able to live in the remainder of the house and of course relied heavily on our grill outside 😊

We are thrilled with the final outcome and have already sent 4 referrals their way. I wholeheartedly recommend Synergy to anyone seeking a reliable, skilled, and customer-focused builder. When all was said and done, the owner came by and had a conversation with us about his company, what we thought he could do better and he looked over the work. Do you ever hear of that happening in today’s day and age? Literally amazing.

To close, I’ll say that we were super nervous about a reno of this size, especially with kids, and had heard all of the horror stories. That just doesn’t exist with Synergy, don’t think twice about booking your project with them. You won’t regret it.

Synergy did a great job on our kitchen remodel, including cabinets, counters, plumbing, and electrical. This project went very smoothly. Minor changes were accommodated without a problem, and the team stayed perfectly on schedule, which is not always possible but very much appreciated in this case. Care was taken along the way to check with us on small decisions to make sure everything came out perfect. Our project manager, Erik Solis, was outstanding. He kept us informed very consistently, personally took care of special requests, and made sure every detail was to our satisfaction. All of the team members were great, also. We are very happy with the end result and the process.

We recently had Synergy Builders renovate our master bath and vanity area and they did a great job! Everything looks great and they started and finished exactly as they had projected. All workers were professional and expert at what their job was as well as timely and courteous. We had also used Synergy to renovate our kitchen and all downstairs 3 years ago with similar satisfaction and results. We would recommend them highly for any home renovation projects! 👍

Synergy Builders completed a wonderful, somewhat complex and detailed home remodeling project for us to our complete satisfaction. From beginning to end they were good listeners, and worked very collaboratively through from the design process through finishing details. They are clearly concerned about satisfying the customer. We found them to be competitive in price, and the quality clearly surpassed the work samples of competitors at same price point. We are delighted with the completed project that included a master suite bedroom, bathroom, and walk-in closet. First our highest compliments go to Adam who designed the project. His vision with our space was the beginning of our wonderful experience with Synergy. Next, highest recognition goes to Kimberly, our designer, who took our color palette and worked collaboratively with us to create a color scheme that exceeded our expectation. We were supported by a working crew of project managers who offered their knowledge and experience to coordinate our project with scheduling contractors, trouble-shooting when necessary, and communicating with us regularly. The contractors who came to our house were professional, experienced, and took extra care in keeping their workspace and our home neat and tidy throughout the project. Special mention is needed in the high quality of materials Synergy uses in terms of their cabinets, tile, flooring, and recommendation in working with an outside vendor for bathroom faucets and accessories. We are now using our new SPA and are enjoying each day in our new master suite space.

We had extensive remodeling done to our home by Synergy Builders and we couldn’t be happier with the results. The project included modifications to both the first and second floors, replacement to alter two stairways, the addition of a master bath, converting a half bath to a full bath, adding an upstairs laundry, and installing hardwood floors throughout. From start to finish, the quality of work was outstanding—especially in the materials and quality of construction in plumbing, framing, and plumbing that wind up hidden behind the drywall. Synergy’s team was professional, quickly addressed any questions we had, and was committed to excellence every step of the way. From Adam's vision for our home, Brittany's design input, and throughout the project, we could not have been happier. A number of tradespeople were involved and the timing was supervised by Eric and Will. We had a couple of small checklist items that needed to followed up on and the response from Synergy's crew was prompt. Synergy Builders was a great company to work with when we remodeled our kitchen and refinished the hardwood flooring in our home. We highly recommend them.

We chose Synergy because, of the five contractors we interviewed and got estimates from, Synergy gave us a fair initial price quote and had a very clear process for handling change orders. Adam, a Synergy co-owner, was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable in discussing cost and design matters.

Daryl, the project manager on our job, Kenny, who managed the project with him, and Megan, our kitchen designer, were on top of every step of the process. They stayed on schedule and kept us informed all along the way.

Megan made suggestions about design details that proved to be important to the look and function of our kitchen.

We have never worked with builders before who were as hard working and meticulous as Daryl and Kenny were. They were prompt to answer our questions and communicate with subcontractors as needed.

The subcontractors involved in the job really took pride in their work and did an amazing job. Kama at Ultimate Stone, Marcos who did the tile backsplash, and the plumbing crew were outstanding. The Amish community that built our rift cut white oak cabinets made them perfectly to measure.

A special shout out to Daniel, who refinished our hardwood floors and feathered in sections of new floors. He was open to providing us with many samples of stains to choose from, advising us on our choices, and was meticulous about every aspect of the job.

Overall, we are very pleased with our kitchen and flooring, and with our decision to choose Synergy Builders to do the job. We would certainly consider them for any future remodeling jobs.

Thrilled with Synergy’s warranty process. I recently had some warranty work done on my almost 3 year old kitchen remodel. The process was easy and efficient. I called and left a message with the warranty department late Friday afternoon. I received a call back that next Monday. Mark came out to assess the issues, recommended a solution and within the week a tradesperson was at my home to remedy the issue. The quality of the work done exceeded my often “perfectionist” expectations. The next day I was contacted by Synergy’s warranty specialist to make sure all of the work was done to my satisfaction. My experience with Synergy’s warranty process and professional staff is one of the reasons I will use the company for any future projects.

Kitchen and first floor bathroom remodel
Synergy was recommended to us as a quality remodeler in the Western Suburbs. We met initially with Synergy and were pursuing other estimates but were so impressed with Synergy that we dropped the other two companies. Synergy had a very fair estimate and the quality of their work was exceptional. They did extensive work redesigning our kitchen and first floor bathroom. All the electrical, plumbing, and cabinetry work was excellent. We even had late adjustments that were handled without a problem. We were so impressed with Synergy we are planning to have them back next year for a basement remodel.

Recently completed a basement remodeling project with Synergy. We couldn’t be more thrilled with the results. Starting from the design phase through the finished product. I had interviewed about 10 builders/remodelers for our project. This was a large project so we needed to really be sure on the company we would decide on. We are so grateful that we went with Synergy. Wonderful experience through and through. They remodeled our kitchen, laundry, one of our spare bathrooms, mud room, office, family room, windows and dining room. Everything went as planned. Everyone was professional and pleasant to work with. From the owners Adam & Steve to the contractors, Kenny, Scott, Marcos, Brian, the project managers, Daryl & Eric, the designers, Summer & Kimberly, even the Pella rep that they use, Geri. Everything turned out beautifully. Better than expected. They started the day around 7:30-8:00 am and were usually out of our house by 4. Sometimes later, but rare and if they needed extra time in the day they would always ask as to not infringe on our family time. They also cleaned up before they left for the day.

We have plans to remodel the rest of our home (bedrooms and bathrooms, even the exterior of our front door). They already drew up the plans. We will absolutely, no doubt use Synergy to complete the rest of our home. We hope to sign those contracts at some point in 2025.

We love our new hallway bathroom and enjoyed working with Synergy. Communication was excellent throughout the whole process. I could keep track of plans, schedules, billing statements, etc. via the Builder Trend app but could also reach key members of the team via email, text and phone, which was much appreciated.

Our designer Mel did an excellent job! I had a strong vision for what I wanted for our bathroom, and Mel sought to understand my ideas and made very helpful suggestions. I wanted a cabinetry color that was not the norm, and Mel helped guide me through numerous paint samples to land on exactly the right shade. Mel was very professional and communicative, and I enjoyed working with her.

Likewise, our site supervisor Will was very responsive, knowledgeable, and always willing to answer our questions. We felt at ease that all would turn out well with Will overseeing the project.

The end result is exactly what we wanted. The tile work is extremely well-done. We enjoy the extra storage we now have with the addition of two shower niches and an over-the-toilet cabinet. The bathroom is light and bright! This bathroom was also lacking an exhaust fan, and Synergy installed one and hooked it up to vent through the attic; all went smoothly with that process as well.

Lastly, the Synergy owners offer a post-project meeting to all clients. They seem to truly care about their work and the customer’s experience. We are glad we chose Synergy for our bathroom remodel!
