Reviews of local pros in Wheaton, Illinois

Luis and his team did a great job on our patio and retaining wall. They were very responsive, completed the entire project in just two days, and left the area clean and tidy. We’re really happy with how everything turned out and would highly recommend them!

The tl;dr version of this is do yourself a favor and hire these guys.

Our yard was mostly unusable due to an old pond and rock hill that was overtaken by the earth. Our goal was to level the yard and put in a new patio. Luis came out and within a few minutes knew exactly what we were looking to do and recommended we use the old brick patio to extend a brick border to our garage door. It was a great idea. Throughout the entire process Luis and his team are flexible with your changing wants/needs and when they run into a potential issue he offers suggestions to remedy. While grading our yard to make it more useful they did a number of jobs to get to that point, including, putting the downspouts into PVC(buried) and ran it all the way back to a catch basin so we have proper water runoff, reused a number of the rocks/boulders from the old hill/wall as a border for the flower bed, cut down 7 small trees/shrubs, planted 4 trees, trimmed the pine trees to raise the canopy, did an entire spring cleaning with mulch, built an island for the BBQ, built a retaining wall around the pine to support the patio, put down new sod and will finish with a two post pergola. All in 4 days! They cleanup every night and are very respectful of your neighbors. Before and after(minus pergola and countertop)photos included.

I had a wonderful experience with this Apple Landscape. They did a great job and were very neat throughout the entire project. They paid attention to every detail, and Luis and the team were great to work with. Overall, a fantastic experience. Highly recommended!

Apple Landscape truly exceeded my expectations. Luis and team have delivered throughout the entire project process; from project inception and design, all the way up to project completion. Luis was always available to provide recommendations and clear any questions I had. During construction, Luis and team added extra protection throughout the property to avoid extra stress to grass and driveway. Luis always kept me updated with project progress as various milestones were achieved. I truly recommend Apple Landscape to anyone who wants quality work.

Best landscaping experience we have had yet. Apple called us back immediately upon our request for quote and came by to assess the project within 24hrs. They provided advice and guidance to help us bring our pathway idea to life. Also had plenty of work examples similar to what we were looking for. Work was done by the very next week to perfection. They even came out immediately when we decided to make additions to the project. Only wish we had found them sooner. Not to mention their communication during and after the work was top notch, extremely responsive. Highly recommend Apple if you are looking for a team to deliver a quality product in a very reasonable timeframe. We will have them back again for our next projects.

Super responsive in getting a quote

Start day and the crew didn’t show up. We reached out and got a response that they would start at the end of the week. No showed again. Work did begin the following week and the patio looks great BUT… the hay to reseed the grass was never finished, the buried downspouts are all retaining water and sod was never replaced by one downspout.. I reached out to have this completed and was told it would get completed and wasn’t finished due to running out of hay and the supplier being closed. 5 days later nothing has been done. For $16500 you would think I could get some hay and functioning downspouts.

*update: we were told the above issues would be fixed by this weekend. No other word and no fix since. We had to contract another company to finish the work that we paid them to do. I DO NOT recommend.

Apple landscape did a wonderful job refacing my patio and doing the patio/main entrance steps. Very professional. Luis is very assertive to understand exactly what we needed. Thanks, you did an awesome job. Highly recommended.

Luis and his team did an amazing job on our project! Luis was responsive to all of our emails, was able to come out and give us a quote quickly, and fit us into his schedule immediately. He gave us different ideas and thoughts on our steps which was super helpful. They were on time every day and worked hard to get the project completed timely and we couldn’t be happier with the finished product! Will definitely tell use them in the future and highly recommend!

Our patio, driveway, and pathway look like a picture from a magazine! So beautiful. Luis & his crew are artists. Very professional and neat. We hope we can do more projects with them.

More future projects coming soon!!

We hired Luis and his team to come out and do our backyard patio. It was a 39‘ x 36‘ patio and they did an excellent job. From the time we signed the contract to completion was about one month. Luis and his team are very professional, easy to communicate at a fair price. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a quality work and great service.

Luis was great to work with and very quick to respond. He is calm, reassuring and polite. They were recommended to me by the Unilock Paver company. I used Apple Landscaping to reset the sunken uneven pavers in my extensive front entry. They also replaced all the underground drain tile from the downspouts with new PVC. They also replaced the low voltage path lighting and buried the wires in PVC tubing to prevent cutting them by accident (as we do every year!). His crew worked quickly and they were on time when weather permitted. They even came in an emergency situation after a huge violent rain storm washed out the underlayment in some areas that then sunk before the locking sand was put down. I would use them again and recommend them highly for your outdoor projects.

Apple Landscaping just finished construction of our large outdoor patio and we couldn’t be happier. They were fast, efficient, thoughtful, responsive, and professional. The patio is simply gorgeous and we have been getting so many compliments from friends and neighbors. We simply can’t believe how quickly they finished the job and how well done it was. There ended up being a small issue with our neighbors yard as a result and even with that they rectified the issue right away. Best Mother’s Day present! A beautiful new patio to celebrate on!

Hired Luis and Apple Landscaping to demo an existing sunroom and completely revitalize our backyard. From start to finish, Luis was more than willing to answer any questions that we had and was dedicated to working with us on creating a design that we would love. Luis and his team completely transformed our backyard patio area. He was always in communication about what to expect and the process. We coukdnt have asked for a better experience and job. There is no question that we will be hiring Luis for additional improvements in the future.

Apple Landscape. Luis is extremely professional, reliable, punctual and very competent guy. I was very particular about my driveway and was looking for a long time to find a real competent and reliable person to be trusted for the same. I was very nervous to see the outcome. He helped me to select a good product and gave the sample driveway addresses to see his work before starting the work. Finally he gave a very reasonable price to start the work. He did a great job, my whole family appreciated it. I am so grateful to him for making a beautiful driveway. Thank you so much.

Luis and his team did an excellent job! Great communication and the work was very well done. Cleaned up and left no mess. Highly recommend! We love our new patio!

We had a great overall experience with Apple Landscape and Design. We had some idea of what we wanted for our patio, and they brought up other possibilities, so it was a collaborative process that resulted in a patio and landscape design that we were really pleased with. The crew was respectful, pleasant and extremely hardworking and finished the job very efficiently. We are extremely pleased with the final product, and with our work with Luis, and recommend them without any reservations.

Amazing work!! Great team with great attention to detail. We couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. The team kept a clean jobsite and knocked everything out in three days. I would definitely recommend Luis to anyone looking for hardscape design.

Luis and team did a fabulous job bringing our vision to life. We had 70% of our idea and Luis filled in the rest with all of the finishing touches needed for our project. They planned four or five days and finished in that time. Communicated throughout the project. We would highly recommend them for your hardscaping and landscaping projects.

We couldn’t be happier with our experience working with Apple Landscape! From the very first consultation, the team was incredibly responsive and professional. They guided us seamlessly through the permit process — something that could have been overwhelming — and handled every detail with care.

What stood out most was their consultation and ease to work with. They truly listened to our ideas and adjusted plans along the way to make sure everything aligned with our vision and budget. The end result is absolutely stunning — our entryway and patio is beautiful and thoughtfully designed to be so functional and inviting.

Apple Landscape transformed our outdoor space into something we now use and enjoy every day. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality design, expert execution, and a team that genuinely cares about their clients!

Wow! First I want to say I love my patio! I can't say enough about this company and especially Luis he went above and beyond being helpful. I had lots of questions and he took my call every time and explained everything to me I almost changed my mind on the color at the last minute and he was willing to wait until I decided. He helped me figure out the color combo that I wanted and I have to say I couldn't be more happy with it. My neighbors even commented on what a great job they did cleaning up before they left and I have to agree. Luis was absolutely wonderful to work with and I highly recommend this company
