Everyone is so helpful and knowledgeable when it comes to selecting a rose, tree or plant. Sydney helped me by letting me know the rose that I was about to purchase was a high maintenance rose. That was not what I wanted to purchase. She also assisted me making a gift certificate purchase . She is an excellent employee and was very helpful and professional at her job . I would recommend her to help you if your looking to purchase items for your landscaping.

Dan and his crew did an outstanding job. My landscaping was outdated and extremely overgrown and they completely gutted everything and replaced it with a simple and easy to maintain design which is exactly what I wanted. They hauled everything away for me as well which was a huge relief, I can actually enjoy being out in my yard again.
Dan was very transparent with the cost of the project and stayed within the agreed upon estimate. He also did a nice job of communicating with me and sending me updates as the job progressed. His guys work quickly, the bulk of my project was completed over the course of a day and a half.
I'll definitely be using Galbraith's again for future projects, they do great work for a fair price. -
I was searching for a flowering mid-size tree and Nathan was super helpful, knowledgeable and accommodating to our request. And not pushy! He didn’t know this, but I was mourning the loss of my best friend of 12 years (my golden retriever). The tree was what we were going to bury her under. He made the process smooth, easy and actually enjoyable considering the circumstances. I couldn’t be more grateful.

Terrible! This is the only way to describe my experience with Galbraiths. My daughter and i went to Galbraiths on mothers day looking for a tree. The employee showed us a pink magnolia tree and we went with that one. It never had a tag saying what it was only that it was for sale. A month later it bloomed and it didnt look like a magnolia tree, we realized it was a hydrangea tree. Ive been calling for three months and the lady that was supposed to call me never did. Finally today we go into the store. The owner offered us a $50 gift card for our troubles and to keep the hydrangea tree. We had our hearts set on the magnolia tree so we asked to do an even exchange. The $199 hydrangea tree for a $199 magnolia tree. We get home and the magnolia tree was one $149. Not only that, it was in terrible condition, with almost all the leaves sunburnt. When we called they told us they didnt have any magnolia trees for $199. We went back to the store and the lady that was there showed us the magnolia trees that were $199 that they supposedly didnt have. We decided to just go with the original offer of keeping the hydrangea tree and getting the $50 gift card but then they tried saying they never offered that. The whole time they were rude, and lying. We will never do business with them again and we advise you do the same.

This nursery truly cares about their customers and plants! They have a wide selection of gorgeous rose bushes, and employees are well-versed in their knowledge of rose varieties and plant care. I recently bought a rose on clearance from the previous season. The bush was healthy, but didn’t have any blooms on it when I bought it. I found out it was mislabeled when I got blooms on it, so I decided to return it. The service was great, and they went above and beyond with their customer care! I am so grateful to have a supplier of quality, competitively-priced Floribunda and Hybrid Tea rose bushes in the area!

Thought they were open today (Saturday), and I was permitted to shop. Purchased an Angel Memorial as a funeral gift. Customer Service excellent and highly recommend Galbraith’s.

If I didn't have a gift card for this place, I would not have selected a baby blue Spruce for $269.00, they did not have a price on the tiny tree. My fault completely. I felt like I was an inconvenience to the employees when I entered the establishment for the first time. My fault for not seeing any signage for delivery and planting. I live four miles away, it cost $250.00! My fault for not snapping a photo of the tree I had selected, because what was delivered does not look like what I had picked out.

If you want to baby sit the schedules of your sprays to get them done - this place is. for you.
— Owner Called me a made up some excuse after reading this review that our account was delinquent and that everything I was saying was a lie; and that he was ending services with me haha yah. I know man.
He said that the reason the services happened late was because of this outstanding bill - hilarious lie since yea my partner had not paid on time but it was not delinquent- when the bill is late it it accrues interest. (I will say I was unaware it was 2 months straight - but he had already paid the bill before I wrote this reviews - and further more if that really was the case then why did I get a service on Friday, and through out every month (late) - weird lie.
Read the review everyone is saying the same thing. Totally unprofessional
The on-site 6/4 quote was the second attempt at an appointment that I made - that they actually showed up to - the first one was a no call no show
…
signed up for quite a few services and they never show up and I have to call to remind them that I exist. and the communication is 0/10. the owner was out on back surgery and recovery and no one was responsible for looking into the services/emails or schedule (mind you its the MAIN lawnservices email not his personal email). I had a no show for a quote for a project that I took time off of work for - no call no show, no apology. I figured ok that was annoying but it must just be a fluke... so I went forward with an additional service. ... and you guessed it because the guy was out on a second back surgery... I was just forgotten about- AGAIN!. they have no confirmations set up once you agree to a service so I just sat there wondering when they were going to stop by to do the service.... 14 days later I Called and was told that he was in his second recovery and back surgery so no one got the emails.... (cool exactly why I wont go forward with any of my landscaping or projects I was quoted for- they are too much of a headache even for the simplest of tasks) huge fail ... when I pointed out that it was the 3rd time something like this has happened to me the person on the other line was like ... well he's going in for a third surgery soon soooo.... - haha like no forethought or critical thinking to deduce hmm maybe we have a disconnect in our communication with clients. _ she told me she would send me over an email with her contact since she's always there and to check my spam folder - nothing; I never received the email. they suck. dont bother.
After all of this they added an extra spray for mosquitos (2 weeks after my already late spray) because they said there might be increased activity due to rain and humidity.... I called to find out more and I learned that it's en extra spray they are charging for in addition to my other sprays.... why in god name do I need a spray 2 weeks after my og spray (can some say Money grubbing). they are a2 star service at best and I WILL NOT be moving forward with services for next year --- TrueGreen offered me the same quote by simply showing me the quote Galbraith offered!... go with them instead. -
Im not really sure where to start as this has been a few years ago since we purchased our trees here. Needless to say this place is a joke. We purchased two plum trees ( 300.00 a piece) from here with black knot on them. We weren't sure what it was but they told us it was nothing and it would be fine. After several years of these and pruning back as they told us it is just worse. Called arborist to check them out and they said just remove them. When we called the store back after a year they said sorry nothing we can do as now out of warranty and stated they never would have sold us trees with the black knot on there. nothing but a rip off! Stay away

I really wanted to make something work with Galbraith. No lie, I went back and forth about trying to even get someone out to my property for over a year for a couple landscaping projects around the house. After waiting 8 months, we finally had an appointment for someone to come check out our space. The sales rep seemed really excited about the project and let me know of some changes going on in terms of employees, so it would be a few weeks for an estimate; no problem. After following up a month later over email, text and calling, I still wasn’t given an estimate. I tried again the following month and was never replied to.
Ultimately, I’m totally aware that everyone gets busy especially with landscaping jobs.
However, I’m done chasing this company for a response. -
In response to Galbraith’s reply, May 5 to the middle of July is longer than 6 weeks. What did they expect the condition of the landscape to be when it took that long to arrive at the property to do the work? The damaged wires were made to lights that Galbraith’s themselves installed. We were told they would return in one week to repair the lights, which did not happen. We called a few weeks later to inquire again about the repair. We were told that yes, they would be coming. When the bill for the original work arrived before they did to fix what they had broken, we informed Galbraith’s that we would pay the bill once they returned to repair the lights. Again, more time passed with no one showing up to make the repair. When contact was made again, we were given a strong assurance that they would be out the next week to repair the damage. At that point, the bill was paid. There was no estimate or quote or discussion of payment for the repair. They did come out the following week to make the repair, and again, there was no discussion of payment at that time. When the bill arrived in the mail for the repair, we were shocked and disappointed that Galbraith’s chose this manner to conduct business. We stand by every word in our original review as well as what’s in this update. We advise every consumer to not do business with this company. All they continue to do is threaten us with lawsuits over $415. Perhaps if they paid more attention to their scheduling and to appropriate business practices, instead of to looking for ways to charge consumers for their own mistakes and to replying to their multiple bad reviews, they would receive more positive recommendations.
What was once a decent business has become nothing but a headache that we will never use again and most certainly would not recommend to anyone. The quote we received on April 30, 2024 was accepted and returned to Galbraith’s on May 5, 2024. The landscaping crew did not arrive until the middle of July; the work was not completed until July 24, 2004. During the job, the crew disconnected all of our landscaping lights, which were working properly before they arrived. We informed them of this and we were told they would speak to their boss about returning to fix what they had broken on a different date because they did not have the proper equipment on hand to make the repair. Of course, weeks went by and we had to call twice to inquire when they would be returning. They did not return to fix the lights until September 17, 2024. The excuse we were given for the delay was rainy weather; however, we were experiencing a drought during this time period. Galbraith’s then proceeded to send us a bill for $361.40 cents, expecting us to pay for the damage they caused. We called about the bill and could not speak to the new owner, Joe, the son of the former owner, Dan, who said he would relay the message. It took a number of days to finally hear back from Joe, who indicated that we did owe this money and would be turned into collections if we didn’t pay. Joe was informed that we would not be paying. During the last week of October, another bill was emailed, and we responded once again that we would not be paying for repairs to things that they broke. Today, November 6, we receive a bill in the mail signed by Jody. This bill has an additional interest charge of 54.21 now added, bringing the total to $415.61. Jody wrote on the bill “Final Notice Before Collections.” After using Galbraith’s for 20 years on various projects, we are disgusted by the treatment we have received. We will be informing them for the last time that this bill will not be paid, and we will pursue every legal avenue to ensure that their unprofessional and unethical business practices do not affect anyone else. Fort Wayne and surrounding areas residents, be on notice: Galbraith’s Landscaping & Lawn Care is not a reputable company. Do not do business with them. We certainly are doing so. They deserve no stars. -
Carols and his team planted a new Redbud for us and he and his crew were terrific. They were courteous, professional and efficient. Carlos explained watering and tree maintenance. Couldn't by more pleased. Galbraith has my business.

We have used Galbraith’s for two years now for our mowing and landscaping, and we are very pleased! We are currently picking out trees and flowers to add to our landscaping and Nathan and Bre have both been awesome in helping me make the right selections! Mitch has been awesome with our lawn care! Thank you everyone!

Plants, shrubs and trees well maintained. Largest selection of beautiful roses anywhere!

Disappointed with my first purchase. I asked if the rose I was buying was an own root one or a grafted one...the salesperson said he didn't know. I learnt soon how easy this was to tell. On coming home I found that the pot was less than half filled with soil ( = smaller root ball), and, most to my dismay, there was a hole on a cut cane that implies cane borer.
Update May 2021: They replaced the rose even after 7 months, and was very helpful in trying to chose one. -
Bre was so great to work with on this project. She took what we wanted and designed the perfect plan for us. Carlos and his crew were phenomenal—so kind, friendly, and respectful of our time and property. I’d highly recommend and would love to work with them again.

We have them come out every 2 years for edging and mulching. They do a great job and are very friendly and helpful.

We stopped and was looking for a red Coneflower. There were not any at the time. Lady said they could possibly receive another shipment soon. We enjoyed walking through the perineals and found other choices.

We have had good luck with smaller plants from Galbraith's. We purchase 5 larger trees, and had them planted by Galbraith's. Unfortunately 2 of the 5 trees that we had planted have died within 14 months. The trees were planted late fall of 2023 (we were told it would be best to plant them once they go dormant). One of the trees never came back in the spring and the other made it just over 14 months. We had the trees looked at and replaced by other landscape contractors, and we were informed that the trees died because they were planted too low (causing them to sit in water, and essentially drown). Galbraith's warranty only covers the tree (not labor to plant), and it appears the trees are not planted correctly. Therefore, I would recommend looking elsewhere for trees.

Galbraith’s maintains our lawn with fertilizer, aerated and overseeded last fall, and has helped us with our weed issues (dandelion, thistle, and crab grass). In no exaggeration we went from pulling 100’s dandelion weeds by hand last spring season to having none in our yard. Our grass is thick, and green. We have to mow 2x a week with how prolific it has been. The crab grass and thistle are much improved as well! We are very satisfied with galbraith’s. Very professional, love that they are local and affordable!

Excellent Customer Service & Knowledgeable Staff!! Nathan approached us while we were aimlessly looking around. We had NO idea what we were doing when it came to choosing a tree for our front yard. He was so incredibly helpful! He asked us good questions and directed us to some different options. We would have been lost without him! We picked our tree (one of his recommendations) & can't wait to get it planted! I can't say enough about how great of an experience we had!
