**FINAL UPDATE**
8/11/19 - I wanted to provide a final update. Let me say again that from first contact through install was amazing. It's the follow-up and customer service post-sale that was disappointing. I think it's important if a business sets a date with a customer that they honor the date, and if they can't (which is very understandable in certain situations), they should be the one letting the customer know why, next steps, etc. Every date throughout the entire process was one that I was provided by Rowan, never one that I requested. Each time they missed the date they provided, I never heard a word until I followed up. I would wait a day or two (and at one point 13 days) and then would follow up myself. That is frustrating when I'm not the one that set the expectations to begin with.

Despite the above, they did finally fix the dead plants/flowers on 7/31. The replacements look to be doing well (fingers crossed) and of course the install was thoughtful and there are zero complaints or concerns there. I did receive an apology from the owner as well which gives me hope they will fix these issues moving forward. I also shared that I wouldn't hesitate to have them on a future project as the workmanship was amazing. Hoping they figure out the post-install customer service.

7/24/19 - I still stick by my review of the install experience, but the customer service after install has been nothing short of disappointing. They hydrangeas and the dogwood planted didn't take to our soil (not their fault), but getting them to replace things has taken numerous phone calls from me. I am the one stuck trying to email and call when they don't show up time after time. I'm sitting here now 2+ months after install with areas looking horrible because of dead plants. I've been really patient and thoughtful about revising this review because I hate to see anything take away from the installation experience but I'm floored at the post-sale, post-payment experience. I'm still waiting for things to be fixed and for things to be made right.

We just had a larger landscaping project completed by Rowan Landscape and we were totally blown away. From the very beginning when I contacted them for a quote until the very last day they were cleaning up - I couldn't have been more pleased at their level of professionalism, respect and amazing work ethic. The crew was very respectful and kind - to the point that I found myself buying them pizza and making them cookies! What impressed me most though is when I'd check out their progress I noticed how each crew member was meticulous in their work and even in their clean up of our yard and driveway each day. Not only will I recommend them to others, I'm already thinking of other projects where I could use their assistance. For context, we had new beds cut, 1 bed expanded, a new light post built and accent lighting added. We also had several large boulders and plants added. I can't wait to see things as it all grows and blooms.

Absolute amazing experience from start to finish! We worked closely together to design our dream backyard, and it was executed flawlessly. We could not be happier. Five out of five stars doesn’t seem like enough! Highly recommend :)

So impressed with the professional design services and amazing final result for my daughter’s backyard project. We had a paver patio and landscape lighting installed in her backyard.

We appreciated the effective communication with Rowan’s team and how seamlessly the project came together. Their exceptional crew came in and made all our plans a reality for us.

We are looking forward to doing another project for our daughter’s yard again soon. It really made a huge difference in her backyard!

We asked Curtis and Natalie to design significant landscaping around our new in-ground pool. We gave them a budget and complete design control and they hit it out of park selecting items that worked well with our sloping yard beyond the pool area. The team of installers did a great job and always working around our busy household. I often watched Curtis' team working together to give significant thought about how the landscaping looked from a distance. They clearly cared very much about their work, like a piece of art.

As you can see from the pics, this was a considerable project but we would recommend Rowan for ANY landscaping needs. Thanks again to their whole team!!

We had the best experience with Rowan Landscaping. From the owner who rearranged her schedule to come give us an estimate; to the office staff answering my many questions. And lastly the crew that completed my project. I am sorry I didn’t get their names, but they were hardworking, professional and did excellent work.

Joe & his guys did a great job getting our yard cleaned up & mulched along w/ removing & replacing 2 arborvitae’s & edging out all our beds, leveling areas & seeding in just a couple of days. Very professional & courteous all around.

My old gutters and sump pump were draining directly into my foundation so I called them to have a french drain installed and the discharge pipe buried. Price was reasonable and they came in to install a French drain system a day early so I'd have it before the rain. I was home to watch the full job and they graded the yard and even went through and sealed up some cracks in the foundation while it was excavated.

VERY professional, communication was on spot, quality of material is great. The crew members were friendly, adherence to budget. Left the site clean and tidy, Highly recommended

I contacted Joseph needing my yard re-leveled due to a sewage excavation leaving my yard a hot mess. He is super quick to respond to any phone calls, and within the week he came by to give me a quote. The price was more than reasonable and he was able to fit it in my budget! I bothered him with lots of confusing phone calls and emails and he was still very kind about it all, haha. He even came earlier to get my yard done so I could have it ready before my babies arrival in June! I am very thankful he went above and beyond and even sprayed my weeds which wasn’t even something I asked him to do. I would definitely recommend hiring this company! –posting before pictures (didn't get the best before photos but I guarantee it was horrible) and after pictures of the same day he fixed it. It was just done so I don’t have anything of the grass all grown in but it’s already looking so much better. And most importantly my yard is now flat!! ALSO I did not ask him to fill anything in the flower bed it is left empty on purpose and just asked him to re-edge.

Joe was a pleasure to work with when I called him to remedy drainage issues in my yard. He was timely, easy to talk to , and came up with a solution of a French drain.
I would recommend S and H landscaping for all your landscaping and drainage needs.

Refuses to sign his own contract, then bills more without sharing the upfront cost of additional work, gets mad and threatens when you question the bill and ask for a detailed invoice. Then promises a start date which becomes a week later. Too bad because he does nice work. Just very unprofessional

Be careful, this guy isn't permitted to install irrigation systems. Also overcharged because a customer asked to do the project right. Be careful.
