I cancelled after using their services for a little more than a year when they aerated for the second time and I got the notification the job was complete along with charge to my card for the full amount. When I got home I realized they had only done the front yard. I called and was informed my back yard was to steep for the machine they use and they confirmed it wasn't a new machine, so I assume when they came out the first time they also only did the front yard, told me the job was complete, and charged me the full amount.

Was anyone going to bother to tell me or was I supposed to just not notice I was being charged full price for half the job?

Just started using TruGreen this year. After two treatments I noticed I still had dandelions. Called and they sent a tech out the next week to take care of the problem. Best part was that it was free. Now that's customer service.

I went with a fairly basic service to take care of some invasive ground cover and to try and thicken up thin areas of my front yard. The ground cover was well taken care of but didn't notice a difference in fullness of the grass. I won't say I watered effectively so I'll leave that as neutral. My main complaint would be that it was not made clear when we first signed up that service would automatically resume 6 months later in the spring with no heads up other than a message saying your service will be performed the next day. I was no longer even living at the original service address. Let's say I was, maybe I wanted to adjust things, or not start yet. I feel like any sort of follow-up before starting again would be valuable.

Our service guy did an outstanding job. His name is Joe out of Fort Wayne, IN. We would love to have him everytime.

Pleasant application specialist did a good job

Technician came to the door, explained why he was there & what was being applied. He asked if I have any concerns. He was new tech at my property, I showed him my property lines.
He used care while providing his services, and would pass on my questions to his Manager.

I had excellent service today. The service man for true Greene, very professional and took care of all my property lines. I had a brief conversation with him going over where my property line is. He was very accommodating and did a wonderful job. I hope he's My service person all year. Thank you, Trugreen.

We had another lawn care service and we're disappointed. We received our first TruGreen application and we received services far above what we had with the other company. Our specialist (Andrew) came to the door to let us know he was beginning. He asked if we had any questions or special instructions. He listened intently and then wen right to work. When he was finished, we appreciated the detailed report of what service was given as well as his assessment of the condition of our lawn. We are encouraged by the first service and expect our lawn to recover with TruGreen.

The specialist, Albert, did a fantastic job. He did the normal fertilizer application and then proceeded to use a weed killer to take care of a weed problem on the back side of our fence. He was a real professional. Great work ethic!

Terrible service, they keep canceling my service, or just won't show up for any service including pre paid service. Even for confirmed appointment they just don't show up,and they cancel appointments for no reason. Horrible service, weeds still growing

I wish we had read the reviews before signing up for a year plan, but what others have said we also experienced as well. We had notification they were at our house to begin service, but no one was actually there. When we called back to explain what happened we never really got a good apology or explanation how this happened. The final nail was when they did an “aerate and overseed” in early August when we had not had rain in weeks. The photo is of the “aeration”. The ground is so hard we cannot understand why they scheduled it now. We’re not even confident they did any overseeding but we did find some in the gutter so it may have all just blown away in the 30 min between service and us checking. We really needed a company to fix our yard the previous owner let go, but this is not the one to go with.

This is only my 2nd treatment with tru green. I am pleased so far. No complaints. I am glad I signed up. The boy who has made both trips to my house is great. Very friendly and helpful. I guess I should say man but he is a boy to a lady my age. Haha.

I've been using TrueGreen for a few years now and have been really disappointed with their services recently. About two weeks after they fertilized my yard and applied grub control, my lawn has large brown spots that clearly indicate grub damage. In addition to this, last week I received the notice they were going to come out the following day to treat my yard and they never showed up. However, they still notified me of the bill via emails. I called to get clarity on what happened and the gal I spoke to said a guy came at a certain time that day and "treated only what needed to be treated." This never happened because we were home at the supposed time he was there. There was no steak put in the ground nor was their a paper receipt like they always leave. I expressed I wanted to cancel services due to this sheer lack of professionalism, upon which the gal expressed zero interest in trying to keep my business. Pick a company that shows more interest in providing the kind of service you'd expect.

My yard looks great with this service. It’s much greener and healthier than my neighbor’s yards on both sides.

Very rude customer service call, dude just hung up on me. Nice job. Plus they don't cut yards is what he was telling me, false advertising.

Arguably the laziest service ever. I’ve caught them on multiple occasions not getting out of the truck, marking the service complete, and then leaving. In an effort to help, I started to walk up to the truck and meet them to explain that the service is for the front and backyard, and that I will go open the back gate so they can enter the backyard. They somehow forget within 60 seconds. Which is the other problem, the tech arrives, just sprays for less than 20 seconds and rushes away. An absolute waste of money. I’ve called and complained and nothing improves. If anyone is on the fence of using TruGreen, please save your time, sanity, and money. Our yard still looks the exact same after about 4 months of
“service”.

Was quoted price, paid for all applications upfront in fall 24. Completed treatment of lawn in fall 25. Tacked on additional charges fall of 25. Charged to my credit without any notice.

Meant to post this last month!! Alan K was most pleasant! Very informative and made sure he sprayed my entire yard. Appreciate great workers!

Tried truegreen this summer, worst mistake ever. My lawn was the worst on the street. Weeds everywhere, never heard of a weed company that doesn't cover certain types of weeds, but they don't. Read fine print carefully. Also we have a fenced back yard that's locked almost every application we had to call them back out because they didn't notify when they were coming and didn't do half the yard. Tried to resove issues with a manager, none of the 5 they've had this summer were helpful.
Stay away from them if you want a nice yard.
