All technicians were honest and respectful. The work they did was stellar and I really recommend them. These old houses can be a pain, but they tackled my issues wonderfully.

The technicians were professional, courteous and efficient. They discussed and explained the issue and the fix and provided additional information to prevent similar issues in the future. I received a call prior to their arrival as I was told when making the appointment. They arrived exactly on time and fixed my issue quickly. Overall I was very satisfied with the service and value and will use Joe Schmo again for future needs.

We just bought a house in Indy and needed to have the outside meter box replaced and grounded and the inside box grounded. They get us on their schedule quickly for an estimate. The estimator explained everything well. Then they were able to quickly get the installation scheduled. They came on time and were quick and professional in their work. We will continue to use them and highly recommend them.

They replaced 3 light fixtures, replaced 2 ceiling fans, and added 2 ceiling fans where there were previously no light fixtures. They did a great job, at a reasonable price, and were knowledgeable and courteous!! I was so pleased with their work, I have scheduled some additional electrical upgrades I am doing in the house. I would highly recommend!!

Had Joe Schmo come out recently to replace an entryway light. While it didn’t end up working out (with the light), I wanted to share my experience. The technician that came out was very courteous of my home, extremely knowledgeable, and I felt he truly wanted to help. I had bought a light that was previously used. He gave me several options for installation and even checked the light for me to make sure it worked properly, even after I wouldn’t be installing. I was very impressed.

Amazing experience throughout our project! From our first call, they were quick to schedule us in. Met with the owner Erich, and later with install technicians Jeremy, Hunter, and Bryce. They arrived on time and answered any questions we had and provided recommendations. I highly recommend this company and will definitely use them for any future projects.

Free service calls, friendly, reasonable pricing! Had a problem with our GCI outlets but every thing end up being fine. I had a very nice interaction with the Tech that was sent out. I would Highly recommend this company!

These guys are the best at what they do. We've used them for three separate projects and every one was done well above our expectations. They are friendly, punctual and very knowledgeable. It does take some time to get someone out for estimates etc., but I guess that is what you would expect from a company that is always booked because they do the job and do it right the first time. One job was well under the quote as they were able to reuse some materials already onsite (rather than charge me for the entire job/parts and hide this). I highly recommend their services and will only use them in the future.

Joe Schmo was fantastic and I highly recommend! We had an issue with our dining room electrical, plus we have aluminum wiring. A competitors best recommendation was a total house re-wire for $32K, without even finding the problem! Joe Schmo found the problem and fixed the problem for a MORE than reasonable price. So happy with the service, having them out next week to install some ceiling lights in other rooms.

I am a Realtor and Joe Schmo is always my first call when I need some electrical items evaluated on an inspection report. They always fit me in, and give an honest and fair estimate. Love this company!

We started having outages throughout our 100 year old house, flickering lights, surges until half the house went dead, including the furnace (in 30 degree weather) Zachary from Joe Schmo came out within a few hours. He immediately figured out that the issue was with the meter base (even though we have old bx cable/old box, they were not the culprit) He told us to call AES and he got on the phone with them to explain the issue at the meter. Then he was kind enough to switch our furnace to one of the working circuits so we would have heat until AES came that evening! He went above and beyond. We only got charged a nominal fee for an emergency service call. 100% worth it. He explained everything in detail as he checked our electrical system. He also gave us a reasonable quote to upgrade our old panel when we were ready, but was not “pushy” about it/no hard sell, which I appreciated. Great, responsive electrical company - from the initial call to the actual appt. (AES came an hour later, swapped some wires at the pole and we were fully restored) Highly recommend!

Our daughter had an electrical issue in her very old house, which made it complicated. Jeremy and his assistant were so very helpful, kind, efficient, and knowledgeable. They even got some electrical issues working that hadn't ever worked Can't say enough great things about this company from start to finish!

Joe Schmo electric did a great job on new lighting in our vaulted ceiling. The technician was very communicative and quick to notify us of any concerns or updates with the project, and the finished result is fantastic! We are so grateful for their work!

Hired based upon good reviews across all platforms, but probably could have done a better job had I attempted it myself. Brand new installation locations, not covering pre-existing holes. The dual switch isn’t even in the location discussed (both hooks were to be removed and the switch as close to the edge of the wall as possible, they never indicated a problem). The vanity light box is off center, even by their own mark, and did not clean up the mess made. I honestly have no idea how they even peeled that much ceiling cutting a hole for the exhaust fan. When I said all this was unacceptable, they said they don’t do drywall repairs. Supposedly the office is going to be contacting me to figure out a solution, will update if they do. But definitely would not recommend as of now.

I couldn't love Joe Schmo more! We have lived in 2 historic homes which can make electrical work challenging. They have always been easy to work with, communicative and transparent, and their prices are extremely fair and affordable. We use them for all of our electrical needs and recommend them to everyone! Calling a repair person out is always nerve-wracking because you don't know what you're going to get, so I'm glad we never have to worry about it with electrical services. Thanks, Joe Schmo!

My mother used them for my grandmothers home to update our box and outlets before purchasing even though the home was a wreck between my grandmothers belongings and mine being my grandmother had passed away and we were in the midst of updating so we could purchase the home and so we were going through everything. They were so courteous and kind and after 4 yrs we have been so happy with the repairs with zero issues now that her stuff is clear we will be calling when we are ready for more outlet upgrades and probably a few other quotes. I believe them to be very fair for what they had to do and greatly appreciate the attitudes they brought extremely kind and professional then sorry it took so long to review fully.

In the picture the breaker box does stick out from the wall, but that's just like the old one. My house is not framed normally and has thin walls.

I cannot say enough good things about this company. Firstly, every single person I spoke to was kind, courteous, and helpful. Secondly, I have a very old house which can cause difficult repairs. Not only did Joe Schmo fix it, but they gave me an extremely reasonable price when they could have easily charged much more. I would recommend them to all of my friends, family, and strangers! 10/10!

Had Zach come out and install a 50amp inlet to my main breaker panel for hooking up a portable generator. Communication was great, price was create, quick and quality installation. Was very impressed he left the place cleaner than it was when he came. 100% recommend Joe Schmo for any electrical needs or at least I will use them for any of my future electrical needs.
