On behalf of my in-laws --- Kyle is our hero! On the coldest day of December, when we were out of town, our furnace stopped working and the temperature in the house was getting close to 32 degrees. Kyle came to our rescue with an immediate response and truly exceptional service at a fair price. We are over-the-top thrilled to recommend this business, KMI HVAC Mechanical Inc.!

Kyle came out quickly on a Sunday and replaced a blown capacitor in less than an hour. KMI will be our first point of contact for future HVAC work!

My furnace stopped working, it was very cold out The tech at KMI, Kyle was very professional and gave me suggestions on how to keep warm for the night and told me he would get to me asap. He was able to get to me the next morning. What really stood out to me was that he knew I was in a desperate position, but he didn’t take advantage of me. The price was very reasonable and he even checked to make sure that other things nearby were functioning properly. I would definitely recommend KMI to anyone that needs HVAC work. Kyle did an absolutely phenomenal job in fixing my parent's HVAC system, as well as mine, at a very affordable price. After being informed by another HVAC company that there was nothing that could be done to repair my heat pump, and that they would have to replace BOTH my heat pump and 1 year old furnace for $4000, I decided to get a second opinion. Thankfully, I did, and it ended up saving me a significant amount of money. Kyle was much more professional, personable, and I would highly recommend him for any HVAC assistance that you may need.

We were told by a larger HVAC company that our AC had 3 problems and needed multiple expensive repairs or needed replaced. We held up on the repairs or replacement. We called out Kyle from KMI for a second opinion. This was a great move. He replaced just 1 inexpensive part and had my system running. He is honest and doesn't try to over charge. Glad we found an HVAC person we can trust.

I called KMI because my furnace was blowing out cold air. Kyle was able to fix it quickly to get us warm again! He was very friendly and knowledge. He also spoke with my warranty people to explain what needed replaced. I will be calling KMI for all my HVAC needs! Best service ever!

Doug was fantastic to work with. He worked hard to get us the best deal possible, was very responsive, and worked quickly to get us all set up with a new AC and furnace in just a few days. We would recommend Doug for any HVAC needs! Plus- they were super friendly with our yellow lab who just wanted to hang out with them the whole time.

Doug is amazing! He came to give a free estimate and gave professional recommendations. He had great communication and was able to come install a new system quickly. He really cares about his customers and does a high quality job. He even spent the extra time explaining the new system to me and made sure I was happy with the job as well as cleaning up everything when they were finished. I would recommend him to anyone!

Mr. Lee is very honest. We have an eight-year-old American standard unit, and the longevity should be at least 12 to 15 years. Another company told us that our unit was not repairable and that we needed a new one. Mr. Lee fixed our unit And told us that we have many years left. We appreciate that so much. Great honest service.

Eric was very pleasant to work with. He listened to me when I explained the problem. He asked questions and was thorough in his assessment. He explained what he was doing and why and what the expected results were. He took his time and made sure things were correct before leaving. We engaged in some pleasant conversation while he was working. He made sure I was satisfied with his resolution and knew to reach out if any further problems arise. All in all I felt good about this experience.

Today was my first time working with Bassett and to say I’m glad I chose them is an understatement. We recently moved to Plainfield and want to connect with a company in the area for all our repairs and maintenance. I called when I noticed an error code on my furnace. Kayla answered the phone right away and got me scheduled for same day service. Less than 20 minutes later Patrick M was at my front door. He was professional, courteous, and very patient with all my questions and my toddler and golden retriever “helping” with the diagnostic. He quickly identified the issue, fixed it, and even did a general check of the unit overall to make sure my young family was set up well for the coming winter. This kind of care is what distinguishes service companies from the rest of the bunch. I think we just found our new go-to company for all our plumbing and HVAC needs!

The technician we had was friendly and was willing to wait for me to get home as I got stuck in traffic.

However, my problem wasn’t fixed, he charged me 184$ and I still didn’t have heat. He got a salesman to come and quote us a new furnace.

After a little digging I was able to get my furnace to kick back on and it seems to be running just fine now.

I pay for the subscription for cheaper work and felt like I got the runaround trying to just sell me a furnace.
