When selecting a builder, my wife and I visited several homes, but as soon as we stepped into one of Redwood Builders’ nearly completed homes, we were struck by the modern farm house style, quality of build materials, and the overall standard of workmanship. Their homes reflect a commitment to excellence, at a level we were excited to see. They were great in paying attention to the details that mattered to us while planning and building our custom home but seamlessly took care of all the other details.

A key strength of Redwood Builders lies in their efficient and organized project management. They have a great network of specialty subcontractors, each with a track record of delivering quality construction. The owner, Adam, along with various Redwood Builders foremen checked in on our build site on a regular basis, ensuring required details and plans were adhered to. They held key walk-throughs of the build to make sure everything was progressing to our expectations. One specific example of normal quality assurance practice they perform was bringing in an independent contractor to verify the insulation envelope was properly placed and completed.

Redwood Builders is also meticulous about job site cleanliness and the final presentation of the home. Small but impactful practices — such as covering ventilation ductwork openings to prevent dust and debris from entering during construction — showed their commitment to delivering a pristine finished product.

Another aspect we appreciated was their assurance and ability to deliver on an agreed to build schedule and price. They construct around a dozen homes a year, which allowed them to stay closely involved in our project. This approach meant no delays, no surprises, and a smooth progression through every stage. Trust and communication was very important to us given that we lived far from the site and could only visit a few times throughout the entire build process. Redwood Builders along with their partnership with Ankeny Real Estate Group provided great communication and developed our trust early on for our custom built home. This continued throughout the entire process to include follow ups post completion of our home to ensure all contractual expectations have been met.

Redwood Builders is by far the best home builder in central Iowa. Not only for the quality of homes but also for the personal touch they add to the building process. Having Adam involved from beginning to end was so amazing and made us feel so comfortable with the decisions we made. We had some specific needs we wanted and he worked very hard to find us a new custom plan that suited our wants and our lot. Along with this, he and his team have amazing expertise that helped us make decisions and design our dream home. The quality and craftsmanship within our home are unprecedented. We have had many comments in this short time on how well it was built and how many little things we have that they wouldn't have thought about. On top of all that, they can build and add almost any custom touches, see our bookshelf below, and these touches truly make the house feel like a home.

Our pool turned out perfect the guys at juarez excavating and pools do great work.
I wish the communication with the guys in charge was better I would have gave them a 5 star. Over all our family is very happy with our pool.

Sam, Mark and the entire crew at Juarez were amazing from start to finish. They helped us design the perfect back yard. Our teenage kids have already spent more time out there than they have in years. The Juarez team helped us pick all the perfect extras. They stand by their work and make sure everything is perfect. Juarez did an excellent job on our pool and patio installation last fall. The service after installing has been great. Any questions or service needs have addressed very quickly.

I personally highly recommend Juarez Excavating and Fiberglass Pools. From the very beginning they did what they said, said what they do. Their communication, execution, quality, and integrity is the bar of pool installation. We had them do everything (installation, landscaping, and electrical) with exception of line up our fence. We did a 35.5x15.5 Fiberglass Pool, with slide and power jets. Total insulation time from first dig to total installation including landscaping we had them add on was 1 month. Pool installation was less then 10 days swimming. Highly recommend and don't hesitate to call and or see their work, we will be swimming for you...

Sam and Mark helped us plan and layout our backyard oasis and then made it a reality. The crew was hard working, polite, and fun to work with. The finished product is better than we imagined. These guys do it all…. dirt work, retaining wall, electrical, gas lines, finished concrete, landscaping, and pool/spas! 5 star people and 5 star service! 3 years later, still going strong. I decided to add another review. A lot of start up companies begin with excellent service only to become more corporate and unreachable when they get bigger. Not Juarez, they are still amazing. We had massive storms the week prior to me writing this and our pool turned milky white. I called Juarez and they showed up ON THE SAME DAY and addressed the issue. Phenomenal company, amazing quality work, and most of all, best and most responsive customer service ever. Sam, Mark and the crew with Juarez Excavating and Fiberglass Pools just finished our fiberglass pool install. We couldn’t be happier!! After shopping around with other pool companies, we came across Juarez Pools, and knew then, they were the company we were going with. It just felt right. From the beginning, Sam was prompt with communication and answering my questions. I never had to wait long for a reply. Everything was straight forward and the job was completed exactly like agreed on. The installation crew went above and beyond installing the pool. They spent early mornings and late evenings working hard to get the pool installed. From dig day to completion day, our pool was finished in under 10 days!!. Everything was taken care of and we didn’t have to worry about lining up any work. They did it all. I highly recommend Juarez Excavating and Fiberglass Pools.
