Save your money and do it yourself. What I was promised and what I got was two different things. They are far from professional. From my experience the people do the bare minimum and if that. The first person that sprayed my yard did a great job but the other five times they were here very short times and I had weeds everywhere still.

I had paid for Trugreen services for a whole year because me & my partner just bought our first home. The weeds and yard was pretty bad but we maintained it and got it fixed so Trugreen could easily spray for weeds, and bugs easily. It has been 6 months and our yard looks three times as bad as when it started. I had called every month for help because nothing got better, and was always told the same thing (to either wait, or another re-service)
Update: I finally got the help I needed even though it wasn’t a full refund and it was a stressful process the two reps. I talked to today helped. Just glad to have it settled.

I paid $200 to have a small section of my lawn aerated and was told they would have it done in 10 days. 2 weeks later and nothing. I called and was told this was a service scheduled for the fall. At least they gave me my money back, so I give you 2 stars for making that easy. Does anyone have a recommendation for a reliable lawn company that can do a small areation??

I had my lawn looking so nice and then I had to turn mowing over to my nephew because I just couldn't do it. At the end of summer I was walking around the yard and just started crying because in such a short time my yard was looking really bad. After one treatment my yard started looking amazing. I even started getting compliments from neighbors

My rep was very thorough and listened to all my concerns. I'm very pleased with my service today. He took the time to listen to me and addressed my lawn issues.

After my yard being treated Friday, I now noticed I have a green and BROWN stripped yard where their buggy tires have killed the grass in my yard. They were doing a great job until this. They're now telling me I have to wait up to 3 business days for someone to come look at my yard. Its burnt really bad. Not just a spot here or there, stripes across my entire yard on all 4 sides. NOT what I paid for. Customer service was not much help. Somehow, it seems it may have been MY fault. Figure that out. These were taken yesterday and today its worse!

Showed up on when they said they would be here cut down tree and removed stump great price and clean up was perfect.

Jeff and his team did an awesome job with a big project we had in Ankeny. He was easy to work with and flexible, and took time to educate me and give advice when needed. They worked hard and cleaned up well after the job was done. Will definitely be using their services again and would recommend to everyone.

So thankful for D&J’s! Have appreciated their snow removal service for several years now. Several years ago in the middle of a huge snow storm they very kindly squeezed me into their already full schedule/route. I appreciate them taking the time to help me out every year during Iowa’s unpredictable winters.

First experience with D&J and it won't be the last. Jeff was great to work with from estimate to finishing the job. Worked with us on a scheduling matter to get a big job done right and on time. He and his crew did a great job. Very efficient and safety-conscious. No surprises with the bill, exactly as quoted. They go the extra mile to do things right. Extra touches with stump grinding like cutting through roots away from the stump, and putting down grass seed after covering, no extra charge. Jeff likes to say, "Don't worry, we'll take care of you." And they do. Highly recommend.

We had to have two ash trees removed from our front yard along with some trimming with our backyard trees. Jeff and his crew were thorough and efficient. After removing the tree stumps, they leveled out the area where the trees were. After job clean up was top notch. They left the yard cleaner than when they started. I highly recommend and will definitely be using them again for our tree trimming needs.

Jeff is by far the best neighbor anyone could have!! I have been sick for seven months with shingles and the painful aftermath of post herpetic neuralgia. I had been trying to hand shovel some of the snow from our recent storm, but hadn’t been able to do much at a time. My husband can’t help because of having a kidney transplant and other ailments. After going back inside, I later heard a snow blower going and saw Jeff clearing snow from our driveway and walkways!!!! What a wonderful surprise and blessing!! Thank you, Jeff!!!! We need lots more people in the world like you!! Your kindness will not be forgotten!!!!

D&J’s did an amazing job on my 10 acre property trimming, removing, and mulching around the tress. Cleaned up daily before leaving the property. I could not be happier with the outcome of the look of the property. I highly recommend this company.

Happy Trees has been our go-to arborist and tree service for many years, and they’ve always exceeded expectations. Happy Trees partners with us to care for our stand of oaks. They’ve also removed damaged/dead trees, provided treatments and cabled a large magnolia. They’re responsive, fairly priced and always fo a great job cleaning up the site when they’re done.

Happy Trees assisted with the removal of our very tall pine tree. From consult to removal, they were very understanding of our unusual situation. They provided a complete explanation of the options and no pressure. During the consult, the arborist also inspected another tree in our yard that was not part of why I had originally contacted them and was able to supply useful information for furture care.

They completed the removal quick and professionally. Even returning early the next day after a round of not great snowy weather to finish the job timely. The whole crew was polite and a joy to work with.

My wife and I have been homeowners for over 25 years. We love our trees! We have worked with other arborists and "tree guys". No one has been more knowledgeable or inspired more confidence than Sean. He and his crew did outstanding work on our property. Our trees look great and we are certain what was done is best for their health and longevity. We love that Sean has a long range plan for our trees. We will definitely work with him in the future!

Happy Trees has been amazing with everything I've used them for: evaluating my current trees for health, planting new ones, grinding an old stump down, and they especially came through when one of my trees fell down in a storm. Sean and crew are amazing, cannot recommend enough!
