Do NOT buy plants from here. They come with mealybugs. I bought one plant, get home and see it’s covered in them. I quarantine the plant then a month later all the plants I have are infected. Never buying one from there again.

Earl May has a fantastic selection of landscaping products and plants. They can be a little pricey, but I'm always happy with the quality!

Very helpful employees who actually get to know their customers and what they're looking for. Whether it's a total landscaping or planting flowers. Great help and great selection!

Weak selection of over-priced house plants and large percentage of them are dying. Staff was also not very knowledgeable. I did purchase some potting soil and it's poor quality.

Friendly, helpful staff - at least three employees asked if they could help me with anything. Quality of annuals and perennials was excellent, as usual!

All employees and customers were wearing face covers except the manager. He said he couldn't find his mask but still insisted on helping customers. He said he just got back from vacation and just my luck, he helped me. Unfortunately, I have underlying health conditions and felt very uncomfortable in this store and around him.

Love the nice people here.. loved the fact that a 60 ish y/o lady was a new hire and wanted to help us, refreshing over other stores young lazy employees

Employees are very pleasant and they know there stuff and very helpful. They have plenty of product to choose from. I highly recommend this place.

This is the biggest earl may in Iowa. They have Everything from trees to flowers shrubs and beautiful hostels indoor plants as well and the patio furniture they sell is gorgeous I would definitely recommend coming here for any gardening that you want to do in your yard and I couldn't believe that actually had strawberries in grapes as well

They are a little on the pricey side which is why I like to wait for a sale

I bought $300 in plants and spent thousands in the past I give a lot of plants as gifts and keep rotation of new plants in my home there plants are amazing top quality and worth the price if u want good quality plants. My favorite place to purchase plants I have close to 50 some plants in my home from this amazing store don't miss out

A decent selection, knowledgeable customer service from Matt in Des Moines. Great parking area and good location for all major highways.

I gave 4 stars because all plants I purchase are healthy and live when planted. However, I think you should price yourselves on Lowes level. Houseplants are outrageous and they may not live. I was in to get a houseplant and left empty handed. Your help however is excellent.

Looks like it will be and awesome garden center. I was too early and they had nothing for seasonal 'scaping.

They have some gorgeous flowers but were more than I wanted to spend. So I went to Hyvee and got 4 for almost the same price as 1 hanging basket I looked at.

Stay away from this store. The manager has no idea what he is doing! He told a family member of mine when they bought sod from the story not only would they delver it but they would also lay it as well. When it got delivered the manager then said " I don't recall telling you I would lay it" ! This A Hole not only needs to pay for it but Should be Fired for Lying to the customer(s) what the company can and/or can not do! He was told if they can't lay the sod down they would take their business else where but No they(He) said they would! I will be contacting BBB because of this!

I didn't shop here but doordash brought my food to them instead of me. I called the garden center and told them I'm on my way. They were closing but said they would stay open for me to come and get my food. Really nice people! I would def give them my business.

I have always loved going to Earl May. They always have a good selection of what I am wanting to buy. Or, they know what I need to buy to make my plants grow.

This particular time, I was looking for a flocked Christmas tree but decided that I would try to do it myself this year. This should be fun. If not, they have a good selection of real and fake (if you are into that thing) tree.

Was an ok experience, had lots of nice items. Some items were a little pricey for this gal; but not all! Was looking for something particular but couldn't find staff to help assist with what I needed bc they only gal there was checking people out. Other than that it wasn't too bad of a place.

We stopped in to buy some plants got our plants and waited at register for 20 plus minutes. No one around! Check backroom, bathrooms, outside, office's, break room. No 1 person in the building!!
We left along with 2 other customers without buying anything!! Pulled out of drive and 2 people standing by fork lift!! Won't be going back
