Constraction reviews in Grimes, Iowa

TMJ worked with me from my initial contact regarding a much needed roof replacement and new shingles, and every step along the way.
Justin helped me with shingle options and decisions.
I was scheduled for last Friday between 7and 8 am.The crew arrived promptly and went right to work. They protected the furniture on my back deck (which had also been built by TMJ) and all my outdoor pots and plants.
By late afternoon, the roof was completed… all debris cleaned up, the dumpster and equipment removed… and all my pots and planting looking good!

I've had the pleasure of working with TMJ Construction multiples times now, and every experiences has been absolutely outstanding. Ryan, John, and Jesse are true professionals who take pride in their work and treat each project with care and integrity. I have used TMJ for siding, roofing, and decking and all experiences were smooth and stress-free. Their communication is excellent with everything clearly laid out. Most importantly, they're refreshingly not pushy - just honest and reliable. They have earned my trust and appreciation and I wont hesitate to recommend them to friends and family!

TMJ installed gutter guards for us. The level of service was incredible. THe installation was done in less than 2 hours. The job site was picked up and clean. The next the job Superintendent came and inspected his crews installation, took pictures and shared them with us. He also walked our property to make sure all scrap metal was picked. Highly recommend TMJ

The team at TMJ did such a good job refurbishing my screened in porch. They exceeded my expectations with being able to handle the structural repair. This involved one of the primary support pillars for my roof and replacing some soffit boards. They also replaced all the metal screens and applied fresh trim which looks so much better than the old trim. It is a fiber cement product I had never heard of before but it looks very nice and I'm told it is very sturdy. It really makes it look much nicer and will help protect the structural components from weather. Brent did a great job installing the new screen door too. It's an old porch but it looks like new now! I will enjoy spending some time in it this Fall.

Amazing job! Whole new facelift for our house was much needed and we are very pleased with final product! Great team at TMJ made the whole process super smooth! It was a pleasure working with you all and will reach out for future needs! Thank you so much!

Contacted several companies for quotes on my windows and most others felt like was dealing with used car salesmen. High pressure, "gotta sign now"!! Tyler from TMJ was very professional. Explained alĺ my options, super low keyed. Windows came in ahead of schedule. Brandon and Zack the installers were the best. Extremely professional, kind and respectful. Plus super funny to talk to!! Got a scheduled 2-day job done in one day. Highly recommend this company. Solid product, professional service and installation. Overall great company to work with.

I had an incredible experience with TMJ! This summer they came and replaced the ridge vent on our roof and did a wonderful and quick job. In late September, we had them come and replace 19 windows in our home. Every single staff person I encountered was fantastic, and I really mean every single person. A special shout out to Austin who came out several times to make sure I got what I wanted, as well as to answer my many questions. He responded quickly to all communications and was a pleasure to work with. All of the guys that did the actual work on the roof and windows were great. The window guys were here for 4 full days and they were efficient, easy to work with, great with my dogs, kids and grandkids and most importantly, they clearly knew what they were doing. We are beyond happy with both projects. The roof project was done in a couple of hours and looks great. The windows are amazing and all of the wood trim inside is just beautiful. Two of the windows required building new holes and working around electric and everything was handled so well. Very, very happy with TMJ and will use them again in the future. They really did go above and beyond to make sure the job was done well and that I was happy. Thanks TMJ!

TMJ helped us with new siding, gutters, and a deck and we were extremely satisfied. The project itself turned out better than we could have imagined! The foreman were easy to work with and their crews are true craftsman! We had a few unique aspects that other contractors were hesitant about but it was no problem for these guys. Would definitely use them again on future projects.

I would highly recommend TMJ Construction Services for roofing problems. I experienced a leak in my kitchen ceiling coming from the roof. We tried temporary fix but it didn't solve the problem. The Project Manager gave me a very reasonable price for full roof replacement on 11/23 which I accepted. At 700Am 11/25/they started on my roof and had it done by 1:30PM. They were very thorough in cleaning afterwards. Everyone I dealt with from the Project Manager to the employees were knowledgeable and courteous.

Our experience was phenomenal!! Ryan and his team were extremely knowledgeable and helpful in designing our new outdoor living space. It was a delight to work with them. We highly recommend using TMJ for any of your construction needs.
We used them to .....
Replace an old wooden deck with composite materials and white rails. Added the cedar pergola with steel roof for shade and privacy.
Replaced windows, back sliding door, and added a front screen door.

I am a property manager for several single-family homes, and I work with a lot of contractors. I use TMJ for all of my roofing, siding, and gutters. I am ALWAYS met with prompt, professional, quality service. It starts with Jenn, Ryan and Kristen in the office to John who provides quick and honest quotes and gets the work scheduled and completed in impressive turn around time! Their attention to detail and communication and education about what needs done and why, to their attentiveness to the customer is the best around.

We recently had TMJ Construction Company install a garage service door. Brooke and Brian coordinated the entire project. They were both excellent to work with and they always answered my questions promptly. We are extremely happy with the new door installation! The quality of Zack and Brandon's workmanship was excellent! They did an excellent job in removing the old door. They were meticulous, very professional, and made sure that the new door was installed correctly and worked smoothly! We couldn't have asked for a better TMJ team for this project! We would highly recommend TMJ Construction to anyone needing their construction services!!!

TMJ did a fantastic job siding our house. We couldn't be happier with the quality of craftsmanship. The installers were extremely detailed, thorough and respectful of our property. I highly recommend using TMJ for all of your siding needs.

Daniel & Isaiah were right on time very pleasant & professional. They wasted no time after reviewing the work area. Set up there ladder & immediately on the roof area to replace vinyl siding that disappeared during a windstorm. Tacked down the area so I'm very impressed we won't have to go through this again. Highly recommend the company & professional crew 5 stars

TMJ and their professional staff did a wonderful job for my customer in Indianola. My company built the additions but the experience and knowledge of the TMJ roofing crew helped make this home look like it always was. That gets tricky in remodeling and these guys were slam dunk from estimate to completion. After getting his roof done my happy customer said, "I see they do gutters too, and I'll have to give them a call."

Solid team. Great price. Excellent product. Thanks. -Chris

Never used their services but just got run off the road when exiting 235 by a white Septagon truck near Walmart. They drove off super erratic and caused others to almost wreck as well. License MZU 416. Unfortunately, I’ll just use this as a sign I won’t ever be needing your services. Respect/dignity/care filter into all aspects of work.

Not knowing exactly what to expect with a new roof installation, we had a lot of questions—but Adrian answered every one with patience, professionalism, and real expertise. When installation day came, the crew’s skill and teamwork were impressive, making the entire process quick, efficient, and stress-free. From tear-off to final cleanup, Coos Contracting didn’t miss a single detail. We’re extremely happy with the results and highly recommend them!

Adrian came out with his crew and put a new stamped patio in the back of our house. It looked exactly the way that I envisioned it. Great workmanship and very professionally handled! We are very pleased with the results and look forward to many years of enjoying it.
