TMJ was there every step of the way through our claims/repair process. Great customer service, and timely work. Was extremely happy with how everything was handled.

All phases of our roofing project were great. From the bidding, to scheduling, to tear off, to installation, and finally clean up. Everything went very smooth.

TMJ does an awesome job and is intent on making sure you are happy. Very impressed with their workmanship. They repaired the hail damage from 3/31/23.

This company is very reliable. The sales representative came to give me an estimate and within the same day I had my estimate. The most amazing part was the crew came the next day and did my repairs to face nail Hardie loose siding. All of the employees were very nice. I highly recommend this company.

TMJ Roofing Services (Ryan) worked hard to provide estimates and supporting documentation and videos to the insurance company. Ryan was an outstanding advocate for me through the process. Jason and his crew executed at a high level. Quality of work and clean up were excellent. Highly recommend TMJ Roofing Services.

They responded quickly to my inquiry and repaired fascia in two places. They also checked the remaining fascia and said multiple pieces were loose so they secured them better. Great experience!

From start to finish, my experience with TMJ was exceptional. They responded promptly, provided a very fair quote and communicated with me throughout the work to ensure I was kept informed. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend to others. I'd give them 10 stars if I could!

I made several calls to other roofing companies that were not interested in my small repair job, then called TMJ . They are the nicest company to work with!!!! From initial phone call to the actual prompt repair. Very professional and reasonable. Thank you for your service. I am impressed. Very hard to find good companies like this.

TMJ replaced my siding after the hail storm. They worked diligently with the insurance company to everyone’s satisfaction. More recently they did new windows for me. Ryan, the work crew and office staff have all been responsive and professional. I don’t hesitate to recommend TMJ to any of my friends and family.

Brent and Danielle did a great job on our window flashing repair. Some of the Hardie Plank lap siding needed to be replaced for a proper repair to the flashing. They were able to get it replaced with no problems and it matched perfectly.

TMJ is amazing!!! They did such a great job on my home. They warranty their work and they deliver great work. The team that we worked with on our house was fast, thorough and efficient. I will call them for all of our future construction needs!! Thank you!!

Contacted TMJ with a chimney facia that needed refaced. Tyler addressed that no cricket was the cause of some of the damage. His crew came and refurbished the chimney and installed a proper cricket to channel water. Also removed some rotting ledger board with new plastic ledger.
Very pleased with the workmanship and results. -
Hands down one best experiences I’ve ever had when it comes to home repair. The TMJ staff is professional, knowledgeable, compassionate, responsive from the top down. My roof, siding, and windows look amazing!

Let me preface this account by saying that I am not picky, but I do appreciate a job done correctly — especially when it comes to our home, an old Wasau prefab house circa 1955 in Urbandale. We desperately needed a roof to replace the original, uninsulated, tin sheets that were beginning to leak and left the dog in panicked, wide-eyed terror every time it rained or hailed. Of course, the roof was (loosely) connected to the stagnant gutters which in turn were tied to rotten soffits that served as little more than front doors for birds. None of it was square, plumb or straight. It was a project we’d been avoiding for years…and all of our neighbors knew it.
So we began the, “process.” You know the one, ask your friends, look at yard signs of companies already doing work, pore through countless reviews (like this one) online — then make the appointments for the finalists to come out and give you a number. It’s easy to weed out the obvious; trip chargers, lawn parkers, no-shows, anyone who says, “Dude” or “Bro”, doesn’t like my dog…you know, the basics. That brought us from 6 candidates to 3 — this is the state of things haha! Down to the serious 3, our (my) challenge became conveying the very specific — yet decidedly non picky — vision for the house. One guy said, “Nope, you don’t wanna do that, this is how we’ll do it…” Two.
Whilst we were comparing the finalists written proposals we noted a few things. One was a, “bid subject to change due to blah blah blah.”, The other was a meticulously itemized quote. For those who have not yet learned the difference, caveat emptor! Both proposals were reasonable, and although the quote was a higher number, it was more realistic — it even included a rebate for the scrap metal of our old roof. Still pondering the #’s on our front porch, drink in hand to help with the shock of being suddenly exposed to such large integers, the phone rang. It was Ryan, owner of TMJ Construction. He was in the neighborhood and wanted to stop by personally to make sure their quote reflected what WE wanted — to understand our vision of a job done right.
I didn’t tell him right then, on the phone, but they were now the clear frontrunner. I said, “Sure! I’ll put the dog away, we’ll see you in a bit!” My wife overheard, put down her iced-tea and got up to corral our golden retriever — she’s harmless, but “handsy.” Ryan shot back, “No worries, we love dogs!” They arrived ten minutes later, and we spent half an hour going from corner to corner of our “project”, master carpenter in tow measuring, writing, and planning the job as we walked.
I talked, “We want no birds, and no bugs, nowhere for pests to get in EVER.”
“Yes , Sir.”
“We want insulation — real insulation, and plenty of it. We’re done with drafts.”
“Yes, Sir.”
“And we want 6” gutters everywhere — make em sqirrelproof, I’m done with ladders. We want a black roof with white soffits that match the gutters perfectly, so you can’t quite tell where the one ends and the other begins. Also — let’s go ahead and extend these gutters wayyyy out there, make sure the whirly vents are the same color as the roof, extend the roof over the back porch to cover the deck — and be mindful the transition is seamless, please…oh and co-ordinate all of this with the electrician, without leaving us tarped in the rain, and have it done by Fairtime without ruining our lawn?”
“Yes, Sir!”, he smiled, “None of that will be a problem. You have my word and my number. Call me personally anytime. We want you to be thrilled with how beautiful your home looks when it’s done — and I hope you pick us because I guarantee we can make that happen.”
A few months later, as our teenaged son sped off with his girlfriend for The Fair, Alicia and I took a moment in the front yard to appreciate our “new” home. The black roof with matching whirly-vents spinning silently away. The crisp lines of 6” covered gutters and perfectly level soffits expertly married — all a testament to craftsmanship, caring, and attention to detail.
We couldn’t be happier. Hire TMJ. -
I have a beautiful, new deck and front step railing that I am 100% happy with. The TMJ construction services company is very professional, organized and reliable. Tyler Lucht (sales) helped me originally with good suggestions. John Holman (project manager) was the key to the success. He checked on the project often and kept me informed on each step. This is a great company with a skilled, professional crew.

I highly recommend TMJ Construction. My roof was at the end of it's life and I needed it replaced. Tyler was great to work with from the start to finish. Along with the roof quote, he provided a few options to improve ventilation which was nice. The crew came out promptly and had it done in 1 day. I couldn't be happier with the service provided. Thanks again!

The work was done extremely well. The workers were polite and friendly. They were very hard workers throughout all the weather that came their way. I will have them back for any future work I need. The siding and gutters look fantastic!

As a small business owner in the handyman and construction field, I really appreciate working with other professionals who go above and beyond for clients. Brent Olmstead at TMJ Construction is one of those people.
He came out to assess a roof for my client and was not only thorough and professional, but also made the entire process stress-free. What stood out most was his commitment—he even showed up 30 minutes early to meet with my client’s State Farm agent and answer any insurance-related questions. That kind of dedication and punctuality is rare, and it made a huge difference in moving things forward smoothly.
Brent’s knowledge, customer service, and reliability reflect the kind of professionalism that gives clients confidence. I would highly recommend him and TMJ Construction to anyone needing roof or exterior work. Top-notch service all the way.
