We hired A-1 Sewer & Septic to clear a clogged main line.

First off, when we called they came out same day, within an hour of calling. Typically places aren’t so prompt or fast with their service.

Secondly, when Jay, our service technician came, he was professional and courteous. He was extremely helpful and gave detailed explanations about what he was doing and why.

Lastly, the job was done quickly, he showed us what was causing our problem and demonstrated that the problem was fixed. They also gave us a 90 day warranty, giving us peace of mind that this problem wouldn’t be an issue anytime soon.

Moreover, I wanted to say that Jay, our service technician, is a fantastic employee and couldn’t have asked for a better service. I couldn’t think of a better person to representative my company or interact with customers face to face. He made a “crappy experience” (pun intended) pleasurable and this guy deserves a promotion.

Henry was an ESP (Exceptional Service Provider). Clean cut, informative, professional, and articulated the issue and solutions very clearly! I would recommend He and A-1 to all!! They did toilet and drain line work

Had them out to do preventative maintenance at my house. 45 days after the service had been completed I am having issues that should have been resolved with the service they just performed. Even though the concern is that the work was not performed correctly, they will not come back to check the work without me paying $170 for the service. I would not recommend them as their customer service with this entire situation has been terrible.

Please note: the business responded below and indicated they would work to resolve the issue. This was not the case. After speaking with Tim I was told again I would have to pay $170 for a drain technician to come out, they would only send a camera tech without an associated fee. If you want a reliable service from a company you trust, I would NOT recommend A-1 Sewer.

Jay and A-1 came to the rescue! We had a back-up in the main line on a Saturday, gave A-1 a call and within a few hours Jay was here. Price was exactly as quoted on the phone. Jay was very personable and professional. I would highly recommend. Thanks again Jay!

Cleaned out my main line ran 100 ft cable did an excellent job at a great price. I really appreciate him and your company. Very satisfied !!!

Adrian with A-1 came out to investigate why my electric water heater was tripping the breaker. He is very knowledgeable and experienced. He also has a positive and friendly attitude. He quickly diagnosed the problem and just as quickly completed the required repairs, after a trip to pick up the needed parts. Excellent and prompt service from Adrian! Water heater is working again!

My seller had the worst case scenario… a broken and severely clogged galvanized kitchen sink drain, on a slab, and running directly under kitchen cabinets! Brian was the first to help out, and made lots of great suggestions on how to go about getting this fixed when we had no access to scope the line. Then Joe and Clay came out to break up the concrete slab and replace the drain line. They had to call Andrew to come out and auger the line multiple times to break up the clog. These guys did beautiful work for what could have been a huge mess! They were friendly, on time, and they patched concrete and cleaned up perfectly. Thank you all for helping us save this real estate contract! :)

I live in a basement apartment that was flooded from a clog grease and gunk from the main house. I called my landlord who immediately called A1 and the technician, Aaron, came within an hour. The mess was worse than I realized. A adjoining door from my place to the laundry room where the backed up drain was located was opened and we got to see the extent of the flood. The sewer smell was atrocious and Aaron went to get rubber boots and an N95 mask. Having worked through Covid in hospitals, I know what that means. Bad juju .
Aaron went to work and cleared the drain. The stinky standing water was still there. I am 73 years old and recovering from surgery so the amount of help I could give was minimal. I heard Aaron talking to the dispatcher and heard that he was not required to clear the standing water. As I was struggling to get a shop vac ready, Aaron told me not to worry. He used his own shop vac and cleared the worst of the water and poured some Clorox on the floor and the drain. That was above and beyond and I am incredibly grateful. The only thing I could offer Aaron was my heartfelt thanks and a bottle of water.

I had a basement floor drain that was backing up. It had a clean out plug that was old and rusty and concrete all around it. Greg the technician arrived as scheduled and was courteous and friendly. He had to chisel the concrete off and then he chiseled out the old rusty plug and replaced it with a plastic/rubber plug. He then augered out the clogged drain line. I think Greg did a very good job especially considering what he had to deal with to get that plug out. Job well done!

Had A1 come out for a blade tree route service and the technician said he had no problem getting out to the main upon another company coming in and running a camera the service was not performed. Called A1 to try to get them back out to honor their service and do the right thing and they tried to charge me all over again very disappointed with the service they should have made it right and come back out for no cost then they tried to tell me it was gonna be an additional $175 just to run a camera after their service to make sure that they did the job that I paid for… very disappointed in the lack of customer service or trying to make it right

John was amazing! He advised the entire scope of the issue(s), most feasible options and estimated pricing. The company also worked around my schedule which I'm very grateful for. I've used A-1 in the past and will definitely use them for future needs. Highly recommended. Thanks again John!

This company is amazing. We had another company come out and told us we needed 6500 in repairs and that it need to be done THAT DAY. Very high pressure. Called A1 for a second opinion. They came out the next day, diagnosed and fixed the problem. I did NOT need a new line at this time. They saved me thousands. They were efficient, courteous, knowledgeable, and most importantly, honest. Now I know who I can trust when a big issue does come up! THANK YOU A1!!!

Lorenzo got to my house, explained what was going on to him that my drain was clogged and he right away said that he was going to take a look at it and snake it. It was my main train and he also explained everything that he was going to do first hand and said before he was gonna do anything explained before he started what he was going to do so before he started anything he said this is what I’m going to do so if he had to do something, he was like this is what I’m doing first and then if he had to do something else, he would tell me this is what I’m going to do next very good worker and just explained everything to me which I thought was wonderful great guy and I would love to have him come back out if I needed to get my main drain cleaned again I would ask for him to come back. I would not want any other worker very very nice guy. He takes his time. He’s not in a rush to where I’ve had other guys come out and they’re like in a rush to get things done and he took his time which that’s what I liked about him so I take him back anytime and he knows what he’s doing so I would suggest him to anybody very hard worker and like I said if I had to use A-1sewer I would ask for Lorenzo again very good company and I will keep using A-1sewer.

I’ve used A-1 for several years any time I’ve ever had an issue, and they’ve always taken good care of me. Chuck was here within a couple hours of my call, diagnosed the issue, and had everything operating as it should in record speed. He was the kind of guy you want to show up in an emergency: calm, cool, collected, and as kind as anyone could hope for. He’s clearly good at his work and made the whole situation less painful. He also explained what was going on and gave solid recommendations for how to prevent it moving forward. I’d absolutely recommend Chuck or any of the crew from A-1 to take care of you (in an emergency or otherwise).

I had no experience with understanding a septic system and Dan with A1 came out to our home and did an excellent job taking his time explaining the system throughly and answered my questions with clear and understandable answers. I had his service tech empty out our septic tank and he also did a good job and was very professional and helpful with any questions I had. I definitely recommend you give A1 an opportunity to help you if you need septic tank cleaning and an inspection.

I had a cracked pipe in my basement on a Sunday morning. I called A-1 and a couple other plumbing companies….. A-1 was the only one that answered and I was scheduled for Monday morning. Joe arrived at 8:30 and identified the problem quickly. A couple pieces of drywall needed to be removed from my garage wall to access the pipe. He recommended that I get some r-16 insulation to put in the cavity before the drywall was replaced. He did wrap the pipe with that foam insulation.. I was able to turn my water back on immediately. Joe was finished with everything before 11:00. He was super professional and highly knowledgeable. I will definitely use A-1 in the future!

Fast straightforward service that comes with a warranty. I won’t use anybody else for my annual mainline clean out. We were recommended to A1 and now I see why. Chuck took good care of us and so did the office team.

A-1 Sewer is my new go-to plumbing company. Scheduling is easily done on line with updates sent via text & email. If you need to talk to a live person, they answer the phone. They have a large service area from KCMO in Platte Co to Lee's Summit. Repairs were made the same day and they are reasonably priced. If they are able to finish a job sooner than the original estimated time, they adjust the final price. If it takes longer, they honor their original estimate.

We are so glad we were recommended this company for our sewage needs. Jay was absolutely amazing and really helped me understand what was going on by dumbing it down into words that made more sense to me. He also went above and beyond the entire time he was there helping us out. We will definitely be staying with this company and recommending it to others!

Super impressed and extremely satisfied with this company! I was in desperate need of a plumber because of an old supply line, water leaks and a new toilet. I called this morning and Ashley picked up right away. She was very understanding and helpful. She said no problem, we will get someone over there asap. And within 30 minutes, Joe was here, ready to go. Just that immediate action and response was awesome. Joe accessed the situation and was able to add new pipe for the stub close to the toilet, assembled the toilet and then on top of that, he detected a small gas leak in the basement. He then fixed that too!!! That could have really saved our lives and home for who knows what might happen in the future. Joe was extremely knowledgeable, kind, helpful and went beyond what he was called out for. What a fantastic employee! Thank you Joe and thank you Ashley for making this happen in a short period of time. And their pricing was fair. I highly recommend A-1 for a job well done!

Jay Beal did an awesome job uncloging my kitchen sink. Very nice person and technician. Thank you Jay. I like this company very much. That's why I call then every time I have problems. I will recommend to anybody.
