Chris Hendrix went above and beyond for me. The service from start to finish was literally A-1 his respectfulness, communication, knowledge, and expertise was fantastic as I was a complete over the shoulder homeowner wanting to know what was going on . I can’t thank him enough for his work today. Chris also had an apprentice with him who was also kind personable and professional. Given the task the were fast and efficient & treated everything like it was their own home A-1 is lucky to have these guys representing them. Thanks fellas!

Tim is the type of professional I love to deal with. Showed up on time ready to go to work. With a great attitude, and obvious skill, he made the project interesting to observe, and to learn from. The attention to details, and the ability to work through every stage of the lining process with confidence to get it right, are what impressed me most. I am very pleased to have chosen A1 for this job, and will recommend you whenever I can.

TLDR: I paid ~$5000 to have two septic riser redone. I ended up having to redo all of their work. NONE of what they installed is there. I got NOTHING for my money.
I will attempt to keep this as short as I can. Drainage on my property is not great, after heavy rains water can sit on top of my septic tank for a while before it dries. I needed new risers because my existing ones were not sealed well and would allow rain water to leak into the tanks, filling them up. I explain this to A1 Septic and they said they could redo them.
I will say all the techs who came on site were very nice and I believe hard working. The first time they did the install it went reasonably well. It seemed like a good job was done. During backfill however they knocked one of the risers of it's base accidentally. They acknowledged it and said they would come back out and replace it.
They come back out and replace the riser. Some small things were missed during this install, for example they didn't caulk or seal around pipe penetrations. I didn't care, I could add caulking and take care of it. I thought it was finally done and I could move on with life.
Around a month later some work is being done on my yard. One of the landscape vehicles got close to the riser and the dirt sank in. It was dry up top but still moist below, so the dirt pushed in a bit and shoved the riser right off the base. Exactly like what happened during the backfil. I contact A1 and they say they will come and check things out. After seeing this and how the riser attaches to the base I personally think it's a poorly designed product. It attaches by plastic clips and if those get pushed out, it's ruined. I've attached a picture showing the crappy plastic clips and how it gets shoved off.
Fortunately before they come out to inspect the riser, it rains. We check the one knocked off it's base and yea, it's leaking. We check the one that is still on it and find out it's also leaking. Both have to be redone, again. They agree the risers aren't working and will redo them both. Them agreeing to do the one that got knocked off was very nice(although they never actually did it). That was more than I expected.
We go back and forth for awhile. I wanted to upgrade to fiberglass risers that are stronger and can be more easily sealed to the concrete. They agree to this if I pay the difference. I agree. Supposedly they are on order and waiting. Time passes, and I call in to find a status. No call back. Repeat several times, no call back. After a few months I've decided I've been ghosted, they will not call me back.
During this time I also rent an excavator and go ahead and dig everything out again. They are concerned about the rain and it not being dry enough to work so I take care of it so it's ready to go. This is another ~1200 out of my pocket. This means a fairly significant part of what they would have to do is already done.
After months of waiting and hearing nothing I buy new riser systems, sealant, butyl tape, anchors, sealant, etc. I rip off the old risers and it's very easy to tell why they leak. The butyl tape sealant is filled with dirt. The top of the tank was not cleaned when they put the new risers on. So even if the one had not been knocked off the base, it would have still leaked. At least it made it very easy for me to remove. I'll include a picture showing the base of both risers. Only one corner on each one stuck to the concrete. Those sections got ripped off because they were actually stuck. The rest you can see still there, filled with dirt.
I at least have two properly installed risers that are sealed very well now. No thanks to A1 septic.
This company is horrific. While the techs were very nice, management purposely decided to avoid fixing their work and making things right. If you do any kind of expensive work with them DO NOT PAY THEM UNTIL YOU HAVE PROVEN THEIR WORK IS DONE CORRECTLY. In my case it had already been too long to do a chargeback and get at least some of my money back. Buyer beware. -
A1 was hired to clean the sewer line for my real estate client. Once finished they said it was cleared, but upon buyer’s reinspection, it was not. A1 had to come back a 2nd time to finish the job. They charged for the second trip despite stating it was previously cleared. Apparently from the reviews, I’m not the only one this has happened to. Because I don’t want my client to be harassed for payment, I paid for it. When something isn’t right, you take care of it….That’s how you run a business.
(If my “name is not in your system” it’s because I’m not the homeowner) -
Honestly cannot recommend them enough! We called and they came out same day with no upfront visit fee/cost and they don't start charging "after hours" prices until 11 p.m.! Lorenzo was our plumber, and he was kind, courteous, and answered all of our (many) questions. He put in a lot of effort and time to check all possibilities and find the right answer for us and listened to everything we said. He was thoughtful about keeping our floors/carpets clean (it was raining when he came) and mindful of our pets, making sure they didn't sneak out when the door was opened/closed. He was also just a nice dude that complimented our home and our previous DIY plumbing repairs. The prices were lower than Roto Rooter and just generally fair/reasonable in my opinion. He also provided a free 30-day guarantee on his work. Will ABSOLUTELY use them again and recommend Lorenzo specifically

Jason at A-1 was fantastic. I had two issues for him to check out and he assessed both and clearly communicated a path forward. He was honest and was able to make some repairs without full replacement, saving me a lot of money!

Great customer service and billing. I had a line that needed to be cleaned and then still needed a little bit of work. They sent someone asap. He was super nice, got it fixed, and I wasn't billed again. No one tried to upsell anything which was great. It was my first time using them and now I know I can trust their work and service in the future. Yay!
