Quite literally my favorite plant shop ever. Every time we make it to kc, we stop by, and I think I've gotten close to 20 houseplants from here. All happy, healthy, and alive still.
Great selection of trees, bushes, flowers, palms, calatheas, philodendrons, pots, and everything else. -
This is our favorite place to shop for plants. My wife and I come here every year for Christmas plants like these poinsettias beautiful and reasonably priced. Lots of parking in the private parking lot all near the door. Best selection you'll find anywhere with plenty of friendly and knowledgeable staff to help when needed. In the winter stop by to warm up in their green house, surrounded by tropical plants it's the best spot to cheer you up on a gloomy day! Overall experience 5 stars in all categories! Thank you all.

My girlfriend and I stopped by this afternoon for a coffee and hot cocoa. We have been here before. The young lady working there went out of her way to ignore us. We waited at least 15 minutes before I got up and asked another young lady how we could get service. Finally, the barista noticed us and said, “I didn’t see you.” It was very apparent that she did not want to wait on us. We will not be back.

Oh I loved this place! So many beautiful plants, succulents, exotic species and more. They also have a cute coffee shop in the greenhouse that's such a vibe!! Can't wait to come back.

Always a wonderful delight for the senses visually and every other way visiting Family Tree Nursery. Definitely a wide range in the friendliness, helpfulness and knowledge in the staff there. The ones that have actually stepped up and been friendly have also been extremely helpful. I always look forward to visits there. I think the prices are good and I feel like the quality of the stock is better than hitting a big box store garden center for sure.

I’m so excited about the Easter terrarium that Family Tree helped me design. I gave them my idea and had the crosses myself. Trevor was so nice to take my ideas down and the result was spectacular. I’m not sure if he actually did it, but the whole team was as excited as I was about how it turned out.

Love this place!! It is on our bucket list to visit for years. Finally we made it on a snowy day🤪 shoutout to Monica who is extremely helpful and friendly. Everyone is super friendly and nice. We will be back in the spring! It’s gardener’s heaven 😊

This place is like my haven. I’m here all the time and it brings me so much peace. They have a great plant selection, though I wish they had more natives, and the workers are always SO helpful and polite.
Plus the café is also fantastic. Can’t say enough good things about Family Tree. -
So much to see here, you almost need a whole day! Between the lovely holiday decorations and home decor, the expansive plant area in the greenhouse, and the outdoor trees and cut greens, there's something for absolutely everyone. There are many helpful staff members around to assist, and multiple checkout stations to keep checkout wait times short. I took home a couple plants on my wish list, but left behind a couple others due to price. The prices were higher than those at other nurseries I've visited in the KC area, but everything was super healthy and I loved browsing. Will definitely be back in the spring!

If your looking for beautiful, healthy unique plants- this is the place for you. The selection is beyond imagine. They go above and beyond to ensure their plants are well loved and healthy. In addition to being able to order coffee and dessert and hang out in the green house. This is one of my favorite spots to visit I the KC metro area.

Great service with plenty of staff to assist me. They are very knowledgeable and shared how to care for your trees, plants, and shrubs. The two people I interacted with, Yale and Nancy, were full of knowledge and suggestions. All their products looked very healthy and well cared for. I'll be back soon, as I continue working on my landscaping.

This place is amazing! Staff is super helpful and so many plants everything you could want. This weekend is the grand opening and they had music food trucks an incredible geraniums for $3.99. Pansies and sweet alyssum were only $9.99 a flat!! sale is still on tomorrow if you can get there

Love this place. It is full of beautiful flowers and it smells awesome. We searched to find pet friendly plants for our balcony and found 4. (Only one of the flowers that I posted is pet friendly.) The people were helpful and friendly. This place is very popular on the weekends.

This is one of my favorite places to visit! There are abundant varieties of plants which are not only strong and healthy, but beautifully displayed! The staff are knowledgeable about the various species and are eager to listen and answer questions . When the coffee bar was open, that was an added perk. Would love to have that year round! Additionally, Family Tree Nursery has a great website and sends out great email reminders and news of specials- both products and events. Did I mention the gift shop- incredible! Everything to love for your home and garden!

I got a bad Perennial that died all of a sudden in two days!
I spoke to two different ladies before they contacted a supervisor and both ladies had so many excuses why it died, but was not their fault.
The supervisor was the same way!
They knew from the beginning they were not gonna replace the dead flower which cost $30 plus tax!
Just so you know, if something goes wrong, they do not stand behind their flowers!
No more business from me! -
This place isnt your garden variety plant store although it does have alot of variety...for your garden...Anyway this is a premium place. Lots of options and high quality plants, shrubs, flowers, pots ect. The soil they have is also very high quality.

So disappointed in my shopping trip there today
Two employees were so rude to me. The new system is fine, but maybe you all should try to explain it better. Before checking out and during. Wow!I still can't believe how rude my elderly mother was treated and dirt grabbed out of my hand. I won't be back. -
first off— ive been coming here quite often the past couple years & i absolutely LOVE this place. it makes a difference when the workers actually care about the plants & know their stuff! i always appreciate them (especially when im wondering around for 2 hours, i promise im normal i just cant make up my mind) and they always ask if i need help! this one day in particular (today) a younger girl asked if i needed help & at first i said no, then i eventually saw her again & was like “lol im a liar i need help finding the lucky bamboo”. she was SO kind and she went to where they thought they were (bc it is technically a dracaena) and she apologized & said this was her first week & she called for help. we found them 10 seconds later & she was so happy! i just wanted to give her a shout out. i didnt remember to look/ask for her name but shes doing an amazing, especially for her first week there. i try to leave reviews for employees because im a nurse, & recognition goes a long way in my work world & its always nice! so to that girl: youre killin it! keep doing what youre doing & keep smiling while doing it! i appreciate you (& of course everyone at family tree)!

Really cool garden store, I could have spent hours here just looking around. I got a bonsai tree I named stumpy who has been doing great for a couple months now!
-
Great selection, but pricey. Just be prepared to spend some cash. Nice herb & vegetable selection. Wish there was just an area setup for butterfly & pollinators flowers.

Best selection of trees and shrubs around. A huge variety of conifers (which are my favs). Free brochures for several types of plants that are a wealth of knowledge. Free flash cards for basic house plants with instruction how to care for them (also free). Friendly and courteous staff. This is an amazing company that I highly recommend.
