I was a bit worried. 2 years ago had a company come out after a storm and tell me I needed a new roof. Called my insurance Co. and an inspector came out. No damage from a storm.
But Hunter and Steve were great guys and when they came off the roof the showed me minor storm damage from the past and said they roof is still in good condition. I appreciate honesty and trustworthyness. When my roof is ready I will call Crown for a quote.

The carpenter did an excellent job replacing a very large custom window. The team was great in protecting the opening when a strong storm rolled through. We did have to wait a long time for Pella to build the window, but that's not on Crown Pointe.

Sales was awesome. Follow-up on order the worst. First payment (half) in April; heard nothing about our order for weeks/months. Numerous phone calls and emails from us went unanswered. Finally, in mid-July we were contacted and door is being installed today. They also wanted payment for half of what we still owed…which I refused to pay until I had proof the company/our order was legit. Really feel Customer Service could improve 99%.

Jerry and Quincy at CPR have been amazing! They are on top of every aspect of our project and have been extremely helpful, professional and supportive as we dive into this outdoor living space project. I have never met contractors as attentive and thorough as they have been!

Great experience with Crown Point Remodeling. Crew was on time, protected the house, landscaping, windows, etc. while tearing off the roof with nets draped where they were working. The crew picked up after the working day, scanned the ground with magnets for any nails and other metal debris in the yard, driveway and sidewalks. Very, very well organized and customer service driven crew. Love my new roof - would refer this company to others.

I truly appreciated my experience with Crown Pointe! Hunter and Camielle in particular were a treasure to work with! They really took the time to help me go through the process and go to bat for me in conversations with my insurance company. They alleviated all my concerns I had and made me feel truly valued and cared for as if it were their own home! They gave me all the information straight forward and advised me on the best possible ways to not only complete but improve my situation! They really gave me a sense of appreciation that I was introduced to them and trusting them with the work! I look forward to working with them in the future! I just can’t thank them enough for helping me get through what seemed to be such a daunting task initially and come out the other side with such relief!!! We were contacted by crown pointe remodeling after our front deck was finished. They wanted us to give them an outstanding review. I really wish I could, however, that is not possible.
The initial contact with the salesman was terrific. He and his son were very positive and knowledgeable. We were sold and signed up to have our deck made.
The timetable was 4 months, which we knew going in. It ran over that time limit by about 3 weeks. During that time, we continually had to contact Crown Pointe regarding a scheduling date. The communication between us and Crown Pointe was not smooth. Promises were made and broken. Timelines were made and broken. Crown Pointe Remodeling was a terrible company to work with. While I can say that the building of the deck was excellent, I cannot say that about the company as a whole. I would never have them do another job for me.

Absolutely will never recommend them.
I requested my front doors to be replaced. This was in September of 2023. They didn't start installing until February 2024. Didn't complete the first door until March. It took them 5 times to come out. It took almost another month for them to come out again to install the storm door only to find out that they ordered the wrong door.
Fast forward to almost three months just for them for to finally finish installing the storm door.
The time I took away from work for 10 months was hardly worth it. Every time I go through the door I will forever be reminding if how asinine this ordeal was just for two doors. I have never been insulted working with contractors as I have with them. They couldn't even offer some compensation for taking almost a year to install two doors. I had concrete done and my sewage line repaired during this time, and it only took three days.
Go somewhere else If you need work done on your home or do it yourself. I'm sure it won't take 10 months.

Crown Pointe Remodeling made the task of getting a new roof easy and seamless. From my initial consultation to the completion of the roof, Logan was there every step of the way. I would absolutely recommend them! I plan on using Crown Pointe Remodeling again when it is time to get new windows.

Update 1/5/26- We now have brown spots on our ceiling, and due to the pitch of our roof, a leak on our wall where the roofing sections meet.

additional records.

Recent reviews accurately reflect the fraudulent conduct of CPR. The company, owned and operated by Quincy Barrett (CEO) and Brandy Barrett (CFO), misrepresents services and caused us and other clients to lose thousands of dollars. CPR engages in repeated deception, creating a pattern of inconsistent and false statements.
Communication is routinely delayed or nonexistent.

Quincy Barrett goes silent for days and weeks at a time when updates are requested regarding the contracted project. Signed contracts are breached, and “lifetime warranties” become void when Quincy Barrett fails to meet contractual obligations. Quincy leaves before projects are completed or even begun. The project that was said would take two weeks to be completed did not even begin until 5 months later. The funniest yet pathetic part is that the project remains unfinished one year and one day after the contract was signed on 12/12/24.

CPR provides proof of current insurance coverage and then knowingly cancels the policy prior to the start of the project. When asked about insurance coverage for multiple property damages and a homeowner’s bodily injury caused by materials left in the yard, CPR provided evasive responses and no resolution. The homeowner is instructed to cover the damages out of pocket with the promise of reimbursement, RIGHT… Documented damages include the central AC unit, windows and screens, security cameras, all landscape lighting, and most of the landscaping. CPR's insurance was canceled on 4/25/25, which was before our home renovation began.

Quincy Barrett pressures homeowners to authorize loan disbursements using false statements. When contacted by the loan
company, he falsely stated that only one piece of siding remained to be installed for completion. The evidence speaks for itself.

CPR abandons gutter, roofing, and siding projects in an unfinished and unsafe condition, compromising the integrity of the home. The most documented deficiencies include gutters installed incorrectly, large sections of siding not installed, siding was installed on half of the porch ceiling instead of soffit, missing water barriers on exposed areas, no insulation in open sections of the home, an unfinished roof, multiple electrical outlets left exposed to the elements, and open gaps in the siding that have allowed vermin enter a previously sealed home now.

Due to Quincy Barrett’s failure to properly oversee the project in his role as project manager, custom window framing was not installed and may not have even been ordered. Security camera footage showed Quincy Barrett personally managing approximately one hour of the exterior project, which consisted primarily of walking the property and unloading supplies. A refund for the nonexistent custom window framing was eventually issued. However, CPR initially failed to provide the refund due to insufficient funds from the company account. Quincy Barrett claims the account was impacted by fraud. The refund was ultimately issued only after a cashier’s check was demanded.

Following the submission of the first review, and only review until today, 12/13/25, a 2:00AM text message was received containing a screenshot of the review and a threatening message. The nature of the threat, whether physical or legal, is unclear. A request for clarification received no response.

Responses provided by CPR now will consistently satisfy their claims, regardless of factual documentation. The conduct of Quincy and Brandy Barrett demonstrates a pattern of misrepresentation, nonperformance, and intimidation.

Jerry, our consultant, was helpful, efficient, and friendly. We were very impressed. The 6 windows that were installed, where there were no windows before, look fabulous. Everyone was professional, efficient, and friendly. They cleaned up after themselves and we were very happy with everything.

We hired Crown Pointe in May to complete several remodeling projects around our home. Please note when checking reviews, they have multiple offices out of Cincinnati, Fort Thomas, and Bellbrook. The project was anticipated to be completed in August. They completed the gutters/soffets and then never returned to complete our deck or door remodel. We tried to reach Quincy and also the main line consistently for months without consistent response or resolution - often with a message that he was out of town and would get back to us and then not getting a response back. We paid them nearly $30,000 in the initial 2 of 3 deposits for the remodel and unfortunately have only received a 1/3 of the work done. The owner no longer responds to our communications to resolve.

Merrill complete construction was a no call no show 4 times. They are NOT reliable!!

Accepted money for deposit, never did the work. Still fighting to get money back over a year later. Con artist.

Let me start with, I wish I would've Googled this company before ever using them. I had an experience with them similar to others. Agreed to a job, signed a contract, delayed start, when work was finally done- it wasn't done to code or well. Now the job site needs cleaned up, but no replies to numerous calls, texts, and voicemails. I had my wife call one time bc he didn't have her #..he answered her call, but once she mentioned her name..click...hung up on..filed a complaint with the BBB.

Below is a text message I sent to the owner yesterday. He has not responded. They did the work this past June. I didn't ask him to repair the concrete because it was their second attempt and it was clear they weren't going to be able to make it look any better. They just don't have the skills. I will never use this company again and would advise others to stay away.

Text message to the owner on 12/12/20.
It's clear you are ignoring me. I simply wanted to speak with you on the phone this morning. You avoided and ignored my text messages and voicemail this past week, until I called from my work phone and you didn't know it was me. I am very disappointed in this entire situation. I have been very gracious and kind to you throughout this process. However, these concrete pieces and being ignored is the tipping point for me. I paid you $5300.00 for a deck, washing the house, fixing the soffit, and painting the front door. The truth is, I should not have paid you for at least half of the work. The concrete at the bottom of our stairs was not in the contract and should never have be busted up. Your guys messed up and made our deck 2 feet smaller than it was supposed to be. To cover up that mistake instead of correcting it, you decided to bust up the concrete and move it over. You didn't ask us if it was okay and weren't honest with us about that mistake until I brought it up. You then redid the front of the deck to make it the correct size. However, the busted up concrete pieces were thrown into our tree line, rather than being hauled off. That just adds insult to injury. Now, we have these awful looking concrete pieces in view, when that clearly was your responsibility to take them away.

In addition, the new concrete you did at the bottom of the steps is terrible. It is not even, has chunks out of it, is cracked all over the top, and has a groove in it where you dropped our glider in it while putting it back up on the deck. Your guys also broke the handle on our grill while lifting it back up on the deck. We are going to have to pay someone else to redo the concrete and fix the wobbly stairs that are not safe. We already paid a handy man a few hundred dollars to fix the railing on the front of the deck (because it was very loose and unsafe), add more screws to the deck floor, and fix the soffit that fell out two days after you were finished fixing it. You also spilled bleach on the driveway. I didn't ask you to fix or redo these things, even though we are going to be out a lot more money to get them fixed by someone else. I didn't even give you a bad review when I clearly should have. So, when all I'm asking for is to have you remove the concrete pieces that shouldn't have been busted up in the first place and should have been hauled off back in June, I'm not asking much.

You told me your granddaddy was a preacher and you always do business honestly and the right way. I'm asking you to honor that and come today to remove these concrete pieces. Thank you.

I wish I had googled Joseph Merrill and Merrill Complete Construction like the others who got scammed. Excuse after excuse. Promises broken both verbally and written. Now he completely ghosts all texts and phone calls.

He's under contract to finish my driveway and tuck point my retaining wall for $16,000 since February 2021. He poured the driveway but didn't slope it correctly or install the drains in the correct spots. Now water drains into and around my garage causing water damage.

He claimed his concrete saw in still in for repairs since April. He even used God's holy name claiming that he's a good man and will finish the job. RUN AWAY from Joseph Merrill.

My only recourse seems to be to sue but it doesn't seem like I'll get much back from him according to another reviewer.

Run do not walk away from Joseph Merrill and Merrill Complete Construction. He is a con artist that creates a contract to do work, falsely promises - even in writing - that he has the necessary licenses and permits to do the work he says he will do, and then does the work with no regard for regulations, permits, inspections, safety, timeliness or quality - the aesthetics are amateurish at best and downright ugly. Working with him only assures you any money you give him will be lost and you will have to pay another contractor to fix his work that is anything but quality. He stole over $20k from us. He knowingly keeps assets out of his name and then invites legal action because he knows he’ll never pay you a dime back, even when the courts find him guilty - which they have. Don’t join the 20 and counting Cincinnati area families that have fallen victim to him. Find another contractor at any cost. He is dishonest and incapable of doing the work he contracts to do. If you live in the city of Cincinnati you should know he is NOT a licensed street contractor, claims ignorance to needing permits (despite agreeing to procure them), and is now ghosting us and the city of Cincinnati. I say good riddance - maybe it will prevent him from taking another hard earned dollar from a Cincinnati family.

I have never experienced anything like this company is putting me through. It took months after giving them my deposit to get them to show-up and that was after I was demanding my deposit to be returned. When they did show-up to do the work it was not done properly. They are unprofessional and have little knowledge about concrete. They are threatening to sue us after we asked them to leave because we will not let them finish the job. They caused damage to our house, fence, etc and poured concrete in a rainstorm. We were very lucky to have video footage of the work being done. The company who delivered the concrete said that it had been compromised and should not have been used. No reinforcement in the way of rebar was used even after we have video of him saying he and I agreed it would be used, then he said it was used and video shows that is not the truth, after shown the video he says, "well it isn't necessary." Please do not use this company if you value quality or customer service. He may seem less expensive now but you will pay in the long run for the corners he cuts. I wish Google reviews could let you see video.

Signed a contract with them in April. Was told work would begin the first week of May. Work didn't begin until mid July. When we threatened to cancel the project and get our money back they finally came and started work on our project. Completely unprofessional. The crew's trash was left strewn about daily on my property. Materials and debris were left laying all over my landscaping. They ran into my house with a bobcat and busted the drain pipe and destroyed the sump pump drain pipe. They lied about doing so even though I have video of it from my ring camera and obvious visual proof. I would advise never using this company. Terrible quality of work, unprofessional, and liars.

Called to discuss pricing for work. Was quite unprofessional for no reason. Well of course there's an obvious reason but.............

That mentality so fkin old!!!!
