Plants looked very poor in comparison to past visits. Staff was not friendly. Doubt I return.

Spoke with Wes and clarified issues. Wes extended an olive branch to compensate for previous visit - much better experience yesterday!! Upping review from 2 to 5 stars. Thank you, Wes!

The inventory is healthy and well cared for. I could not complain about their selection and stock. The staff working here were dismissive and not at all interested in helping clients. They gave off an attitude that questions were a waste of their time. I was willing to buy some plants but the employees were so disinterested that I took my business elsewhere.

I have been driving past this place on my way home from work for months. Having just bought a condo in Lexington, today was going to be the day to bring home some plants. I had the seats down in my SUV, and I picked out a nice patio plant. I headed towatts the inside, where you get potting soil and planters, and they basically said, sorry we’re closed! It was 6:01 pm. So, I guess I need to find another nursery in Lexington. One that’s a little more customer oriented.

UPDATE: Wes, thank you for reaching out. Just the fact that you acknowledged my concern is enough for me. I don't need any special favors or discounts. I will shop King's again, as it is really convenient and your customers obviously like you a lot. Thanks.

Started going last year. This is the only place we will come for plants, flowers, trees and mulch. Even picked up a great planter for my office. All the outdoor plants we have purchased here are beautiful and thriving. My husband loves the barkey beaver mulch. Excellent customer service. Have not been let down!

Best garden center in the area! We return time and time again for all of our flowers, trees, and shrubs. Great selection and also great help with picking out everything.

We have been going to Kings for about 5+ years now. We travel well over an hour for their beautiful selection of plants, flowers, herbs, etc.. I have never had a bad experience there. Kylie has helped me with all of my flowers the past 4 years (showing me what works well together, including teaching me how to arrange everything in my pots once I get home). This kid is a true asset to this place. Every employee that I have ever encountered there has had “Priority #1 Top Customer Service”. I worked 30+ years in Customer Service and know what treatment I should receive while at a business. Trust me when I say that when anyone of Kings employees is helping you, “you” will be their top priority. It is a well educated ran business. Thank you Kylie for helping me decorate the outside of my house for the past 4 years!!

They have the best displays of garden decorations in town. I love to browse this garden center. Service was very good and helped we to find what I needed.

But the plants this visit aren’t as pretty as other places. Some of them were quite brown or had insect holes in the leaves of quite a few plants. Maybe short staffed?

We have had a wonderful landscaping experience with King’s Gardens Garden Center. Ian, the landscape architect, was able to work with us on-site to review the garden area and discuss what plants we wanted and what might work best for the location. We then reviewed a detailed plan and were able to make changes where we wanted. We were also able to look at the actual plants to be used in the design. The installation was very professional from start to finish with detailed instructions on how to care for the plants. All of the new plantings have thrived and we receive many compliments on our new design. We look forward to returning to King’s for the next phase of our landscaping project.

Very overpriced. But, I still bought 3 plants. I have never spent that much on a plant in my whole life. The biggest and most expensive out of the 3 was infested with mealy bugs. Had no idea til I got home with it and saw them crawling. I've had to put it quarantine away from other plants and am still trying to get rid of them. I payed too much for this plant to let it die! Wish me luck....🤞🤞🤞

Was just here a few days ago. Bought a cute little Variegated string of hearts and found an adorable pot.

Not a huge selection of houseplants, but everything looked good and healthy. I was happy with my finds. 😁

A wonderful young lady named Lauren helped my wife and I today with new landscaping and choosing the correct nutrients and soil. What an amazing lady so knowledgeable and helpful. We will be return for all our landscaping needs. Great job! Thanks for all your help Lauren.

We have shopped for specific items in the past here. Always a good selection. However, as a business in the industry, last week we asked politely if we could open an account. We were bluntly told "no, they were not accepting new applications". For reference, we spent $51,723 last year on related products and supplies. So to us, Wilsons plant company is a better choice if you are a contractor or in the landscaping or floral industry.

My husband and I went to Kings today not knowing what we needed to plant at our newly purchased house. Caitlin did a wonderful job at helping us choose our shrubs and perennials! We are very excited to see our results!

I shopped at Kings Gardens two weeks ago and was so surprised at the variety of everything in stock!! Yes, I paid more than Lowe’s, but strolled thru the warehouse amazed. I was afraid one bush was not doing well, so I emailed pictures to there email address and Russ replied back quickly with advice. That’s why I keep shopping there😊. All employees are knowledgeable and very nice.

This was my first time coming here and they had so many plants! I was honestly overwhelmed by how big this place was.
I was looking for some bushes to plant in my front yard and Katelyn was a great help! I'm very excited to see the results! Will definitely be coming back again soon for more

Got some amazing gourds and mini pumpkins for our porch and they look adorable 😊

After my poor experience, Wes, one of the nursery directors reached out and gave me assurance that my plants don’t need a stake and an apology for how I was treated. Since then he has gone above and beyond to help me give my new trees the best care possible and I am extremely grateful. He has given me watering tips, had someone come out to check on them, and has always been positively responsive to me. I so appreciate how kind he has been in his service so I am giving a new rating. Thank you for making me feel safe to ask for help and supporting me so much!

I honestly would have given a much higher rating but my experience today is the direct result of the one star review. After lots of saving we were finally able to purchase and have several trees planted through King’s a couple of weeks ago. The initial process was wonderful and we were told to reach out at the first signs of distress for help. One of our trees sadly started leaning after a big storm. I called right away and was told I needed to dig a stake in the ground and tie the tree with twine as it was too little to support itself for the first year. When I asked Rich if there was a service I could pay for them to stake the tree, I was told he couldn’t authorize that and I should have requested it in the first place. I explained I had never planted a tree before and therefore didn't know I was supposed to ask for that but is there anyway I could pay for it now. Rich told me "I can't do that for you but this would be a great opportunity for you to learn something. You really should have asked this before now. There should be a stake in the ground for at least a year or two." I then asked if he knew where I could purchase the right equipment and he said "Home depot or any other store. You could probably ask your neighbor for a stake and zip ties and wouldn't even have to leave the house! Again this would be a really great opportunity for you to learn to do it yourself.” I was extremely humiliated and sad. After spending nearly a fortune on trees I thought would be planted properly, I was then mocked for my stupidity in not knowing what to ask for and left having to trouble shoot the work myself. I would choose any other garden center.

They are very willing to help you out with your plants. They also have a good size selection throughout the year.

Good selection of common plants. Prices run a little high on some thing. Good price on topsoil. Nice selection of Corinthian Bells, which is what I went for. In photo, bells from them, not the geraniums.

I could have stayed here for hours! They have so many beautiful plants and a huge selection of pots and other necessities. I picked up a small philodendron who is healthy and thriving. I can't wait to come back!
