We just committed to Solar is Freedom after a in depth deep dive with several other companies. During this process Jaylen Jones has been great to work with. Solar is freedom so far has provide the best experience and value to date. I will update this post after insulation process and then again after first service request. I know what a big investment this is. So I am hoping this relationship will be a successful one.

Loved working with Adam and his team on our new solar panels. Very professional and responsive, consultation was informative. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a clean way to save on energy. Install went smoothly even with weather delays and the panels look great on the house.

Great Company to work with! Jennifer was always there to answer any questions I had. They also worked the installation schedule around my sleep schedule since I was working nights and sleep during the day when installation started. If you have ever thought about getting solar: Solar Is Freedom should be at the Top! of your list to contact very professional team to work with.

My husband was very interested in obtaining solar for our house in Louisville. I was very hesitant given the arrangements/permits/pricing that comes along with solar. Shelby helped ease us through the process. The initial call does seem scripted but it it to get to know you, your family and your wants and needs. The presentation was through zoom. Once we committed Shelby took care of our homeowners paperwork, zoning, electric company documents and stayed in contact with us the entire way. The guys who placed the panels and wiring were extremely respectful and helpful. Would absolutely recommend this company and Shelby to anyone who will listen.

Panels look great but communication has been no good from the beginning. Have called and left messages for our project manger. Called the main number with no return calls have also sent emails with no response. I think if they could just follow up with customers more timely this would be a great company. Hopefully one day I’ll hear back from them with some answers on the concerns I have.

Update 4/23/22:
Has now been almost 4 months of having my panels installed since New Year’s Eve and I still have yet to get a response from the company. Have still sent multiple emails to the customer care email and have called as well. Not real sure if the company still exist at this point since I keep getting ignored. Once again the panels are good but would be great if they all worked. Not getting what I paid for is crazy.

I am giving this 1star because I do not have an option to give less rating than 1 star.
I have been trying to contact Solar is Freedom to get some clarification regarding my billing for the past several months.
When we had our initial meetings with Solar is Freedom, I was told that we will get a one to one billing. We installed a 17kw system and per solar edge app we are producing good amount of energy. But unfortunately the reading per our electric bill is not showing half of the amount of energy that we are producing. Now we are in a situation where we are paying the monthly payment and the electric company bill as well. Contacted Solar is Freedom so many times to get a resolution on this and they have a poor response.
We are getting so many inquiries about solar system from our neighborhood and I will not recommend this company to anyone.

I do not recommend this company. I sat down with Jason for an hour and half over zoom and it ended with him telling us that they do not want us as a customer.
I inquired about getting Solar from them as I am in the need for a new roof. I presented all of the information and they setup a meeting. Over the meeting he spent more time telling me how they are better then competitors in the industry.
They claimed since they are a roofing company as well they are the only company that can replace your roof before installing your solar.
They also do not contract out any of the work.
Apparently they would subcontract out our roof replacement because they don't replace roof's they just make it easy to bundle both installations together in one loan. They also quoted about $15k for the roof replacement which is higher then name brand companies in the area.
They claim that most customers end up not paying anything as solar generation offsets the price of electricity bills - After adding up all costs our $180 electric bill would go to a $323 a month loan for 25 years. They also gave us a cost of $83k for a 13kw system which would only generate 75% of our energy usage.
They then went to all the incentives and ended up lower the rate to $50k if I sign up in the next month instead of giving me a year to decide and said they would use excess panels that they have in stock.
I mentioned the national average, other companies providing solar, and Tesla solar panels and was told I am not comparing Apples to Apples and that with all other options i would get subgrade solar panels. When I tried to get details on what is Apples to Apples he said they would not want me as a customer and hung up on me.

After a call later with one of the managers. I was told that they are sorry for the experience and would get me to another sales person but they reiterated the pricing. She also told me that Richmond Kentucky is outside their service area so they have to subcontract. If they do not serve our area they should just say so.

The associates at Solar is Freedom worked very hard to help me gain financing; We’re realistic about the expectations I could receive from my solar system; We’re professional and efficient in their installation of my Solar system. Worked hard to navigate the behind the scenes leg work handling legalese with the electric company and regulations both local and state. Making my purchase easy to use and understand.

Jaylen at Solar is Freedom has made the experience of getting solar panels easy. He kept me informed about what was going on weekly and answered any questions I had without making me feel stupid. The installers were great! They were efficient and respectful of my older home and it's quirks. Thanks Solar is Freedom!

Worked with Adam, and his presentation was excellent. Very knowledgeable and coherent in his presentation. He was professional and thorough with no pressure at all. He is a salesman with a great product to sell. The study and plan that the engineers prepared was also excellent and fully explained by Adam. The installers showed up on time and prepared to go to work immediately. They also were very efficient installing the system and very patient answering any and all of my questions. The electrician that came to hook the system up to the electric panel went out of his way changing the way he was going to hook it up to the way I requested he hook it up. I requested the hookup be done differently to hide the wires and pipe to the meter. He agreed and made that happen. A really wonderful experience, just waiting on some sunshine now.... Just went over the 10 megawatt number after installation January 2020. 45 dollar average electric bills are awesome..

Had a wonderful experience with getting our solar panels installed from initial meeting until very end of the process. We had an issue with our breaker box and the electrician was very helpful in explaining what we needed to have done to fix this issue, before they could proceed. Everyone was very professional. Adam is still available for questions months after the panels have been installed, def a full service company would totally recommend them.

My husband and I looked into solar with several companies. We decided on solar is freedom for a variety of reasons. We started working with Andrew but eventually moved to Jeff White. He made it a very smooth transition from one contact to another......right down to the last details.. The crews were out here very clean and respectful. Solar is freedom took care of all the permitting necessary to complete the job. We just received our first LGE bill...... how nice was it to be within 10 kilowatts of electric use even during the winter months

I've wanted solar for years now, but thought it was too financially prohibitive and the payoff would take too long...well no longer. We just got solar installed on our house and I would highly recommend Solar is Freedom. Their customer experience is second to none. Adam Hay was our point of contact and he was very informative and a pleasure to work with. At no point did I feel pressured to move forward. Everything happened exactly how he first explained to me over 2 months ago. A very professional company, I would (and do) recommend them almost daily!

I just purchased my solar system from Solar is Freedom and awaiting installation. Karim Kimble has been awesome! He has been so informative. He took the time and explained everything in detail. I felt confident and trusting in this purchase. Karim contacts me weekly to keep me informed of my installation progress. I’m looking forward to working with this company and saving energy and money!

We're excited for the summer to see how much energy our system will produce. We're already in the black with the electric company, and it was just installed four months ago. Karim, Evan and everyone involved have been awesome throughout the process, with regular communication. Installation was efficient, high quality and clean afterwards. The cherry on top though was rolling the new roof into the whole transaction. We recommend Solar is Freedom to everyone we know.

I don't give good reviews. Its not who I am. I am a very harsh critic. So when I got solar panels and they showed me the 5 star reviews, I decided to be a little meaner than I usually am. I am a commercial general contractor and when people come to my house I treat them like subs. I never judge a company by their product. It is my responsibility as a home owner to decide if this product is good before I bring these people out. Solar Is Freedom has an exceptional product. I can only judge a company by how they respond to disasters, problems, their ability to think outside the box and their ability to try and keep the customer happy. My house is an abnormal home and it had its fair share of issues. Solar Is Freedom did their job and they did it well. I now have solar panels that cover my LGE bill 100% plus. In using this company, you will have issues and you will have problems. BUT they will address and fix these problems promptly and will never shy away. Great company. Chris

Adam was wonderful from the beginning. He was straight forward and not your typical salesman. The installation crew was very professional and helpful. They were able to walk us through everything, and Adam even helped us get the needed app on our phone. We are excited to see our electric bills go down as our system uses the sun to return electricity to Duke energy. It is wonderful to see how much CO2 has not been released into the air by using the panels and how many trees we have planted. It is not in real life, but an estimate of how much our environment has been helped with the panels. We are happy with our purchase and with this company.

From the first call the experienced and helpful staff guided us through the process taking time to answer all of our questions. We never felt pressured to commit to anything. They kept us up to date through the entire process and were always easy to get ahold of if we had any further questions. I can't recommend this company highly enough! Andrew was super helpful. Solar is freedom really came through for us!

Edit: our system was installed almost 3 years ago and we finally needed service as our panels are not producing regularly. Unfortunately the company owner has closed the company and filed for chapter 7 bankruptcy leaving customers with no service on the claimed 25 year warranty. Class action lawsuit will be coming soon as many of us are stuck with loans for products and services that they will no longer help with as promised.

We had expressed interest in solar but asked to be contacted in mid April. Andrew contacted us then but due to the pandemic our presentation was made through Zoom. He had detailed pictures of our roof and where Panama would be placed and why. The panels were reasonable and by paying cash we received an additional discount. Installation went smoothly but because our city own it’s utility company there were some hoops that needed to be jumped through. Solar is Freedom took care of all of this. The first two months we had a small electric bill but for the last 3 months our electric bill has been zero

American Dream Solar and Window (Owner) please provide contact information. You provide review feedback 4 months ago on a positive review and ive been waiting nearly a year for a follow up.
Solar is Freedom has not returned any of our emails and are not returning calls. They have been going through a "reorganization" for nearly a year and have been unaccessable. I put in a request for a new install and got a call back within a couple days ready to come out and give me an estimate. When I told them they installed my panels a year prior and needed them to remove them and re install them because of storm damage to my roof there was nothing they could do for me. We can't even get our service warranty they were so proud of when selling their product. I love having the solar but the servicing company is horrible. I can't even monitor my usage because they stopped paying the company that was doing the monitoring.

We love Solar is Freedom!! Our sales professional Andrew Hay was professional in explaining the entire process from install to finish, including the tax credit information. This company is the best! The install took one day and the system has worked flawlessly ever since,,,,we like not having an electric bill. Andrew Hay and Solar is Freedom.. do what they say,,,when they say..on time on schedule ...no surprises!! Our solar panels are the talk of the neighborhood !! John & Joanne Hardin
