Thus far, my experience with Solar is Freedom's Louisville office has been a positive experience for numerous reasons. First, their contract pricing for my 20.7kW, 56 panel solar system was competitive with other bids solicited, and they were flexible as to specific terms and conditions I requested. Second, the account manager I was assigned has kept me informed of the project's progress on a regular basis, promptly returning my calls, and answering my questions. Third, my home's electrical, pre-inspection individual was professional and knew what she was looking for during said inspection, and she did not hesitate to contact Solar's electrical engineering staff with questions during the home inspection using face-time technology. Fourth, the permitting process with the electrical utility has been a seamless experience that required about five minutes of my time to electronically initial an application form. Fifth and final point, due to my other home improvement projects running concurrently, Solar has been flexible in their installation scheduling to align with my other home improvement projects. I am looking forward to the actual installation scheduled for mid-November, hoping to cook our turkey via solar power.

Solar is Freedom has been a amazing experience. I highly recommend them and my sales agent Karim Kimble. He made the process care free and tailored the system around my needs as well as handled everything regarding my install and all the leg work an paperwork behind the scenes. It was literally one of the easiest purchases and I look forward to doing more business with them in the future.

Just had a 18 panel install completed. Panels were installed in one day (WOW) and electricians completed their tasks in a timely manner. I'm producing power now and it has been great. Really looking forward to seeing what it will produce in the Spring and Summer months.

Install was very smooth but loud. Scheduling, of course, took some time, but the installers and electricians were very knowledgeable, answered all my questions, kept me well informed through out the whole process, and did a very professional looking installation. I recommend Solar is Freedom!

Very happy with this company and my experience. Shelby presented all the information and answered all of our questions. She’s knowledgeable, polite and entertaining. The installers were professional and did a fantastic job. The roof and panels look great. They were polite and respectful as well as being neat and tidy. When they came into the house to access the attic and power panel, they took off their shoes at the door. Everything was cleaned up before they left. Solar is Freedom took care of the project every step of the way. I didn’t have to worry about anything. If you’re thinking about going solar, I highly recommend this company.

First, our salesperson Adam was fantastic. Easy to work with, non-pressuring, and very responsive. Second, the company does a detailed simulation of the impact of the solar panels on saving us money, reducing our carbon footprint, and even shows how they’ll look on the house. Third, installation was done by professionals who were courteous and helpful. Fourth, the after-installation customer service so far has been excellent. All in all, SolarIsFreedom is a great company to work with and we are fully confident in our decision to employ them. Highly recommend!

I have had a fantastic experience with Solar is Freedom this far, and am excited to have my system installed. The inside sale associate Christian was through and followed up regularly without at all being pushy. He was able to explain all of the steps of the evaluation process on a way that I could understand. I am a homeowner but not particularly handy and felt at ease. Likewise, my Account Manager Jeff White has been very kind, gracious with my questions, and easy to work with. Speaking with Jeff feels like a conversation with friends, not like a business transaction. Jeff cares about what he does and it’s clear the company has coached that into their team. I really look forward to benefiting from Solar for years to come, and appreciate the opportunity to work with a company local to Kentucky.

We contacted Solar is Freedom to inquire about solar energy for our home. Nick Hobbs was great! Our home is all electric and we wanted to save on our electric bill as well as be less dependent on public utilities. The installation team came out and installed the panels beautifully. After 2 months our electrical bill was $16.00 for a 4 bedroom 2 bath all electric powered home. I would highly recommend Solar is Freedom. They are professional, dependable and do a great job!

Karim Kimble was great to work with. He was friendly, knowledgeable and made ever effort to answer all my questions. Solar is Freedom was great. They showed up when they said they would. The system looks great on my roof. My neighbors tell me it looks better than other solar installation they have seen. One of them have ordered an installation from Solar is Freedom after seeing mine. Solar is Freedom left my property clean and in great condition. NO LEAKS!

Kiersten has been fantastic to work with. She has made the process smooth and is always willing to answer our questions. Took the time to educate us on all things solar and had multiple meetings with us to help us make our decision. Not pushy with sales and has made the experience great! Install was quick and they took care of everything. We looked at many solar companies and did lots of research before making our decision and we are so glad we went with Solar Is Freedom.

My Previous review was for "Solar is Freedom" -- a now bankrupt company that has died in a questionable fashion, leaving some people kind of screwed. It appears my 25 year warranty is gone as a result so I am not thrilled about that. Making matters worse, now my review appears under some new company on Google named "American Dream Solar and Window" which is NOT the company my review was written for so I have changed my 5 star to 1 star. Really knowledgeable, very friendly, great communicators. Jeff White was my primary contact and my install went smoothly and I had a direct line of communication to everyone along the way including texting/cell numbers. Everyone involved spoke real English and they worked fast and in an effective team doing my large 15.6kw install of 43 panels in just over one day including a 100A to 200A electrical service upgrade and entire electrical panel replacement. I went in my attic to check for leaks in the rainstorms and haven't found any. Very good work, this company hires real electricians and real roofers so they know what they're doing and everyone on the team knows each other and doesn't shift blame around (no subcontractor nonsense). I highly recommend Solar is Freedom. Thanks everyone!

Solar Is Freedom is a great company! Also, my project managers, Chris Simmons and Evan Druffel, kept me informed along the way. The electrician and roofing crew also did a great job and left my property spotless. I'm happy I went with Solar Is Freedom. Working with Solar is Freedom has been a real joy. We’ve thinking about solar For a while and I have talked to other companies but Karim and the Solar is Freedom team helped us pull the trigger. The process was easy and the Company updated me at every step of the way. They handled all of the permitting and inspections. They were incredibly responsive to my questions about our system. The installation crew showed up on time and we’re very efficient and done by noon. I am very pleased and recommended them to my father in law.

Recently, Solar is Freedom came to Lexington Kentucky, and installed at our home. The installation took less than two days and was handled by an excellent crew of installers and electricians. At no time were they unable to answer my questions. Solar is Freedom took care of everything, contacting our local utilities company, obtaining the financing for the installation and panels, plus save us money by applying for the federal benefits saving. After all is said and done we had no money down, obtained a fixed low interest payments, and included a 25 year whole home warranty.

Since the installation it has rained and been cloudy every day. Even with these conditions we discovered we used only 50 Kwh in three days. When our daily average is in the upper 60 Kwh charge from our local utilities. Just think what it will do when the sun actually comes out.....

Kyle Corbett was my rep through the whole process and he did an amazing job at every step. Super responsive, at text, phone calls and emails. I swear I think he wrote back to text every time in less then five min. The service was quick, quality superb and no matt how tiny the concern I had it was address/answered immediately! Have been recommending this group and will continue to do so!

I’m very pleased with my solar panels from Solar is Freedom! I had a 12Kw system installed (35 Panels). Most on the house, but also ten on the detached garage. I’m really glad that they were able to incorporate the garage, it’s great to use as much room as possible.

They took care of coordinating the loan, which comes to $182 a month. My electric bill averaged $220 a month before the panels, and is now about $70. Keep in mind there are some minimum charges that LG&E includes. So now I’m able to produce my own electricity, in essence I have my own power station, for $252 a month. Add to that it’s all with an on-site warranty, so I don’t even have to worry about repairs. It’s a great addition, and they look fraking cool!

Installation only took a couple days (once started), and the team that did the install was great! Hard working, well mannered, good people. I’m happy to recommend them.

Last, the app. Of course there’s an app, and it’s actually pretty great. It’s easy to understand, and get a look at each panel’s production, at any time. In the time I’ve had my panels (about 4 months) according to the app I’ve saved 9,685 pounds of CO2, equivalent to 73 trees planted. I don’t have room for 73 trees on my lot, so this is much more effective. Also I have converted 6.2Mw of electricity from the sun.

I’m glad I have been able to do a little to help address Climate Change. And I’m very glad Solar is Freedom is there to make the adaptation easy. They stayed in touch, and were available throughout for all the questions I had.

P.S. Look into the details for your federal tax breaks, you may be able to save a lot of money in the long run.

Top notch service and professionalism! Solar being relatively new in my area, feels like the wild west when it comes to trustworthy companies and contractors. Plus, considering panels require modifying your roof and electric, the cost of the units, and the nuances of tax credits, permits, utility companies, there's no way I could DIY it. This is all they do, and they have the knowledge to do it right, do it quick (my install took less than 3 hours), and do it affordably. 15/10 would recommend!

From the first phone call to the last phone call Solar is Freedom staff has been professional and easy to deal with. Our salesperson Eddie has been amazing answering all of our questions and the follow up has been exceptional. The install team were efficient and professional. We are very pleased with our decision to go solar and to go with Solar is Freedom. If you are considering solar definitely give them a call.
