The gardening center changed hands last year. Well before the pandemic. It's much better now much a lot more work has gone on in shading the plants and selection of plants it's a very good garden center.
-
Extremely rude owner!!! Just an FYI, homeschool teachers, are in fact teachers. Your daughter should be ashamed the way you treat people.
-
Cashier will ask invasive questions upon purchase do not recommend at all.

Found out today that this business was sold in August. I went in today to order an oversized pot and planting services. Spoke with Rick. No huge terra cotta pot available from them, and they no longer plant. They only deliver. Disappointing for what I wanted.

I use to like coming to this place, unfortunately today the manager rang up my stuff and asked me “if I was a teacher” because they offer discounts and I said “ I am a home school teacher “ and he said you’re not a teacher my daughter is a teacher she paid to go to school you’re not a teacher” this is very hurtful a simple I’m sorry we don’t offer homeschool teacher discounts would have been ok. I will not be returning here.

No one to help, have to hunt for someone each time we go there. Then no pricing, on amything.....forcing you to find someone, which is as I said a challenge. Today, almost got hit by the man running a forklift in the main isle. Why would you do that during business hours and on a weekend when your busy.

We were in search for a large pot and decided to check out QHGC and so glad we did! Great selection and prices. The customer service was top notch. We will be back! 😁

This place is incredibly over priced! I DO NOT RECOMEND shopping here, your literally throwing away money for a plant that is not worth what they are pricing. They had a small Monstera Delisciosa and were trying to sale it for 300$ when the max you would pay for that size and type of plant is 80$

Really cool guys, helped me out a few times. Prices are a bit high for their hydro supplies, and the selection isn't great, but they're expanding. Good local business to support!

All the staff was very knowledgeable. I had concerns about mold in my rose soil and they were able to identify it and give me tips to care for it. Great place!

I love purchasing from here, I called with a question about a plant that I didn’t buy there, and they had incredible customer service, extremely friendly and helpful staff I come here with my young daughters who love to touch all the plants and the staff is so kind and nice to them as well, I definitely recommend!!

Always knowledable and friendly service! Feels like shopping with family! Great selection of houseplants, flowers, veggies, and the best succulent area! An amazingly unique selection of airplants as well.
-
Absolutely love this garden center and it's employees. I feel so much better going here for all my gardening and plant needs instead of the big chain stores. The employees are always so extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. My family and I will never go anywhere else!!
-
Went today to buy some plants? Probably a couple $300 Worth. the gentleman told me I need to get the plants Myself he would go get me a rack then I can take care of it myself. I said no I need help he still did not help me so I did not buy the plants

Chris helped us today and provided the best customer service and help to my husband and I! We have been to the nursery several times but this was our best experience by far! We will be back and will refer others as well!

I moved here from Hawaii where everything grows with no effort. The desert, needless to say isn’t so easy. Brandon, the manager, has helped me dozens of times over the 3 years I've developed my flower beds and fruit trees. These guys are the greatest. My garden beds have become full of beautiful perennials and annuals, and we have been eating peaches, apples, plums, and pears for the past two years.

We were there maybe 2 minutes. Someone came right up to us and asked if we had any questions. He was able to answer all. Very knowledgeable. The place was nice and clean. The plants and trees were all note and healthy. We are planning on purchasing very soon.

I've been Landscaping out in the Antelope Valley for 23 years.I go out of my way to go to the Quartz Hill Garden center for all my supplies and plant material for my business. Brandon and Rick are so knowledgeable about plant material, insect and disease control and chemical application for plant healthcare, I couldn't go anywhere else for that type of service. It's a One-Stop shop for me. I can get information and everything I need for my company. They have a great selection of tools and anything that you need to landscape and it's always in stock. Most of their plants are not only acclimated for this area they're also zoned for this area so they grow. It's kind of a no-brainer especially for someone like me that depends on professional courteous help to run my business. Thanks Quartz Hill Garden center for all your help you guys are awesome.

I LOVE this locally owned garden center. I have shopped there since long before they moved to their new location. They offer friendly, knowledgeable service and their plants are top quality. They'll even help you put your purchases in your car.

In Sept I purchased six Mexican bird of paradise. I was told they would be guaranteed for at least a year by Brandon. Well, they did not last six months and today when I asked about the guarantees I was told they would not honor it. I should have got it in writing. Brandon will order more with a 40 percent discount. Stupid of me to pay more. Don't go there. The new owners no longer care about long time customers. At least Home Depot will refund or replace with a receipt for up to a year. Lesson learned.
UPDATE: Never heard from them. No one called and I don't think there was an order. It's just a lousy business model. -
Unfortunately due to the lack of professionalism and harsh and cruel judgment of the cashier I have to give this store a 1 star not recommended. Teachers get discounts. A hardworking homeschool mama went in and supported your business. Here’s what she said in our homeschooling group.
“If you are a homeschooling family…or even a decent person- DO NOT GO HERE. Disgusting behavior to say the least.
A post from today in my homeschool group chat: “I really need some words of encouragement. I went to my local nursery to buy some soil and when I went up to pay the owner asked me if I was a teacher and I said yes I'm a homeschool teacher and I have a ID. He said you're not a teacher and I said I'm not? And he said no my daughter who went to school and paid money is a teacher. So then he said so not here. I wanted to cry so badly but I waited till I got in the car.”
When asked if she was a teacher she said yes and that she homeschools her children. You proceeded to tell her she’s not a teacher. You broke her. How dare you. The reason your kids are in school is because you have circumstances that don’t allow you to homeschool, which is fine. No judgement here. But don’t you dare throw judgement at someone else and make them feel less than. She takes on the same amount of weight as a public school teacher. Being a mama is hard enough and now she takes on an incredible job of wanting to teach her own children and you undermine her and dismiss her. How dare you. All to save what? A few bucks for your business and to protect your pride? Do you feel powerful? What an awesome example you are to your kids.
