I’ve been using this service for three years they started off fantastic. The guy that came to my home was very professional very clean I have no complaints about them. The problem comes when you receive your bill and they lie and steal money from you without your permission. They say all the calls are recorded but they can’t find a phone call that I made. Jenny kept sending the same recording. They charge me for something that I did not receive I cancel services and they still charge me and then they continue to charge me late fee. Which I have no problem paying if I was in the wrong but again I cancel and they still charge me a month after because I noticed they were taking my money every week and I signed up for biweekly. so please please go to someone They change your plan without even notifying you. So I will take them to court.

A quick update, I've been using on hand lawn care for years. I love them. They take excellent care of my lawn and they are a pleasure when I need to speak with them.

They did a great job cutting down the weeds left behind by the previous home owner. I look forward to seeing how well they care for my lawn once I finish restoring it.

Ok here it is. This lawn company does an amazing job at mowing your yard and making it look pretty but the owner, manager, and office staff... whoever I have been dealing with is TERRIBLE! They incorrectly charged my card double the cost of a normal mow. I reached out to inform them of the error not once not twice but 5 times over the course of 2 months and never received a response from them. Then they had the nerve to come back to my house to mow then proceeded to charge me again without correcting the overpayment of $63 and after I already told them they no longer had authorization to charge my card until the billing dispute got resolved. Once again I tried to reach out and NOTHING. So after 5 calls and 2 months I decided it was time to dispute the charge on my credit card. This company had the nerve to email me a fee for $40 and proceed to tell me that they would get an attorney involved if I left a bad review. So here it is! A bad review so come get me. If you want a company to mow great but charge you anything they want please by all means pick this one.

We have been using "On Hand Lawn Care" for over 3 years now. I called them many times & sent them many emails - to see if they could come out & give us an estimate on some yard work & mowing questions that we had. I thought they would be more considerate & appreciative with us - especially since we have been such "loyal" customers to them for so long. However, they have completely ignored all of my phone calls (they always have a recording on & then they don't respond back to the messages that I have left them) and they also do not respond to the numerous emails I have sent them. Apparently, customer loyalty is not what they are striving for.

We are now looking for a dependable & friendly lawn care company, and will stop using "On Hand Lawn Care."

I applaud On-Hand Lawn Care for hiring competent people to work for them. It’s so difficult to find a lawn maintenance company who actually cares about their people, and who hires employees who pay attention to details. The team who cares for my lawn doesn’t rush through the edging/weed-eating. They take the time to make sure they don’t miss any spots. When I purchased my investment property back in 2005 -- to ensure the esthetics and value of this property, I brought onboard ONHAND LAWN CARE in 2007 to care and maintain my lawn.
In retrospect, this 17 year run of "service" was consistent in an attentive, affable and courteous administrative staff, and lawn care crews who were diligent and unwavering in their commitment to
the beautification of my lawn.
Onhand Lawn Care tailored the maintenance of my lawn within my budget. They are a well run business who always supported the needs of their customers. Consequently, my lawn was never a disappointment. I recently sold this property on June 7, 2024 --
and I can say On Hand Lawn Care played an important role in the success of my sale.

I have been using On hand for several years to aerate my lawn. Last night I was looking an email account I no longer use and noticed several emails from On Hand saying I have a past due amount that needs to be cleared up and a reminder that this is “theft of services”. I thought oh my I need to see what this is about and take care of it thinking maybe I accidentally paid the wrong amount…so I opened the pdf and there is an invoice for $10.88. I was baffled because I always pay when the service is rendered. I immediately replied with an email informing that I would be calling today to take care of it…which I did and found out the charge was generated because they couldn’t perform the service on a particular day and had to come back. This company is only a few miles from where I live and are in this area all the time. First of all, there is no reason I would have to cancel. Even if I’m not home they have access to my back yard. Let’s say I did have to cancel…I can see charging for a cancellation if a customer habitually cancels a service but I am a long time customer and am just baffled over this! I told the lady I was speaking to on the phone that if $10.88 is worth losing a customer over then I would go ahead and pay up. She then proceeded to ask for my card info! For the record, I have never used another company to aerate my lawn but it won’t be difficult to find another one. Also, I was going to have them completely revamp my flower beds in the coming spring. It’s obviously not the $10.88 I have a problem with but a company that is willing to lose a long time customer over such a small amount is just mind boggling. Oh well 🤷🏻‍♀️

My neighbor recommended On Hand Lawn Care to me. I was home during the first service and walked my property with the Crew Lead. I noticed additional items I wanted to take care of that I did not initially communicate when I was establishing service. The crew was at my house for about 6.5 hours (corner lot, former model home, lots of trees and bushes). My property looked better than I could have imagined. They even removed tree stumps from years ago. In my opinion, the company must operate on the premise of ”I am treating this property as if it were my home." I am pleased that On Hand Lawn Care is taking care of my primary residence.

I was with On Hand Lawn Care for about 5 years altogether. 3 years at our previous address and 2 years at our current address. At first everything was great. We were using them for weed control and mowing and everything looked great but over the years it appears that their service has gone down hill. When mowing they would leave strips where the grass wasn't cut and there was a time when my sprinkler was messed up and they were the only ones in the backyard and said I needed to take a picture. Also, this year I called and said I was no longer going to have them cut my grass and just use their weed control. Well, I feel that since I downgraded service they have not put their best foot forward to service my yard. I have more weeds now and last time they came, they did not lock my back gate back when they left. I also needed them to cut my grass twice this summer because I was not able to do it for 2 weeks. Now keep in mind I cut it every week and the first time they came out the invoice said they needed to bag it 7 times. That just didn't seems right to me. I honestly don't know what has happen with them. I have cancelled service but I do hope they get back on track. I do not want this to be viewed as a bashing review about this company but I just want to give my honest opinion.

Absolutely amazing. They are very professional and thanks to their hard work, our yard look amazing!!! I started using them because I would see them working on my neighbors yard and I have always admired how beautiful their yard look. I gave them a call and Monique was so helpful and getting service set up for us. We are three weeks into using their service and you can see a big improvement in our lawn. Their fertilization and weed control service is a must.

Use at your own risk. Against my better judgement, I continued to use this company for many months even though I hadn't been happy with their services. I suppose they depend on the hassle of finding another company keeping customers locked in. The list of issues has finally grown too long... and I am done.
1) They charge whatever they feel like charging based on how many minutes it takes their guys to complete the job. They state that "Your property is allotted a certain amount of time for each mow based on square footage. If the crew exceeds the time allotted, additional fees may be applied." This should not be my issue, but theirs to better manage their workers.... So, if their guy starts his "clock" early or late - I pay... if he takes 5 min for a cool-down/water break - I pay... if he's walking slower because he hurt his back - I pay... When I signed up in 7/21, I was told in writing "your weekly rates would be $24.00." My weekly rate has NEVER been $24 except for the first few weeks, and has been as large as $45 (generally, fluctuating between $28-36).
2) They charge for estimates of future work to be done. Really, an existing customer who is considering future work (in this case, the addition of a french drain) and they wanted to bill me for the estimate. Hmmm.... could it be that you know your bid is going to be high so you're covering a trip charge in case I go with a more reasonably priced contractor? Personally, I prefer a contractor who's going to work for my business rather than one who's in a "no loss" position and doesn't care if I choose them or not.
3) Their sod installation didn't take, and apparently they will only warranty for 3 months (but don't tell you that on the estimate or invoice). When I called with concerns early on it wasn't documented and the receptionist dismissed me saying we were in dormant season so that's why it wasn't yet "taking" and that I should wait for growing season...well, by then I'm out of warranty. Quite convenient!
4) They completed a sprinkler repair, but never demonstrated to me that it was working. A few months later when my grass was dying, I tested it myself and noticed the repairs were not completed properly. I asked for them to come and inspect their work and they wanted to CHARGE me $50/hour to inspect their workmanship. Insane! I'm done!

We have been using On Hand Lawn Care for about a year now and they are great! Always on time unless it is raining, if it is raining I know to expect them the very next day! The crews are quick and very efficient and leave our yard and flower beds looking awesome every single time. The office staff is great too, they are quick and responsive to any questions we have, or extra work we need done!

I have been a happy customer of On Hand Lawn Care since July of 2014. The work crews have always performed their jobs exceptionally, no matter what service they are providing, and at a value based price. Great customer service as well! Always responsive and friendly! I will continue to use their services as long as I live in the DFW area.

We have been utilizing On Hand Lawn Care, Inc for about 8 years now. And we have been pleased with their work. Be it with our lawn, or our trees and shrubs. They have always been great to work with and the crews have been very attentive to specific request.

Even though the guys are very quick they do a very thorough job and I've had no issues with their lawn service work. And if I need to have them come out during a off schedule week for trimming of shrubs and bushes they are willing to send someone out as soon as possible.

I am thoroughly pleased with their work and more than willing to recommend On Hand Lawn Care, Inc to others.

We had a lot of difficulty getting dependable and quality lawn service until we found On Hand Lawn Care. Our yards were completely overrun with weeds, and the lawns were in bad shape. On Hand quickly improved the condition of the yards, and today, you won’t find one weed anywhere on our property. They are very dependable and have never missed a week of service. Their office staff are a pleasure to deal with and always provide exceptional service. I strongly recommend On Hand Lawn Care for lawn service and many of the extra services they provide.

They were bought out by new management. The new management significantly overbilled me and said sorry best I can do is give you a few free cuts rather give me a refund. He then told it was my fault I agreed to pricing, but failed to show me where he communicated the pricing increase. Overall I will not ever use them again after over 5 years of being a customer. Best of luck and watch your invoices.

FYI I only ask for a refund from when new mgmt bought the company not from previous mgmt. they should not be responsible for previous mistakes.

Fantastic work! Not only are they prompt and on time, they did a great job helping us clean up our mistakes. We cannot wait for the Spring season now! Again, awesome job by a major league crew.

On Hand Lawn Care has been taking great care of my yard and flower beds for years. Recently, the Providence Village HOA sent a letter appreciating the caring that has been done in maintaining my yard and flower beds. Also, people have stopped and given compliments on how nice everything looks. Without the dedication of the crews and office staff, theses compliments would not have happened. My thanks to each and everyone of you.

This is a company that you can trust to take care of your landscaping issues. Very responsive and top-quality work.

On Hand Lawn Care has taken care of our lawn for the past two years. They maintain many lawns in our neighborhood. They are fantastic! The customer service is one of the best in the industry. The crews work fast and hard, not skipping a detail. They are always respectful and kind. Our yard has never been in such healthy, beautiful shape. I recommend them without hesitation!

I don’t use this company and never would for the following reasons.
My neighbor uses them. They barely have any grass. This company come all hours of the day seven day a week. Today is Sunday morning and they are out mowing and trimming. No inclement weather this week.
They also park their big truck and trailer in front of my house and not the house they are servicing.
