Very impressed! We bought two trees and six shrubs and had Anderson's La Costa deliver and plant them around our home. They really know their stuff, and shared lots of useful advice about how we can help keep the plants healthy. The owner even came to assist with the planting! Despite obstacles presented by our sprinkler system and old tree stumps, they managed to get everything positioned and looking great. We certainly expect to return to them the next time we need plants for our yard.

Half the outdoor plants looked sad and under-cared for. The only thing worth getting are their houseplants which were much happier looking than anything else.

Their website and Google says they’re open until 5pm. I arrived there today around 3:30pm to a closed gate to the parking lot. They also didn’t answer their phone nor was there a voicemail message when I called them to see what was going on.

I would be weary of the Milkweed sold here. All my Monarch Caterpillars developed signs of pesticide poisoning symptoms within 24 hours of eating their milkweed and ultimately all 20 died. They were thriving on my home grown milkweed prior to this. Very sad situation.

This is the best nursery I have ever been to in California. I feel like I am at a botanical garden. It could take a few hours to look at all the beautiful exotic plants they have. My toddler saw his first butterfly there. Its such a great place to buy air plants. Everything is reasonably priced. Cheaper than other nurseries in the area.Highly recommend.

Awesome selection of plants, they have a lot of nice/rare houseplants and the prices were fair :) I LOVE the platyceriums!

This is one of my favorite nursery’s. Not to mention, the employees are always very helpful. Steven, went above and beyond for a request I had. He was communicative & responsive. He was able to set aside a plant I had my eye on.

Absolutely amazing nursery with tons of selection. Staff is super friendly and always find a new plant to take home. Must stop if in the area. They have a pottery greenhouse as well so make sure you stop and see all the planters. At times they also carry rare plants. 🙊🌱🙌🏼

Anderson La Costa Nursery is an absolute gem! This family-owned nursery is filled with beautiful, healthy plants that are clearly well cared for. The selection is impressive, and everything feels vibrant and thriving. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable. They were happy to answer questions or offer advice. Special shout out to Zoey, whose thoughtful and inspiring tips made my visit extra special. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just getting started like me, this place is a must-visit! I was thrilled to go on a sale day and got 20% off.

Nice garden center with lots of selection, little bit on the pricy side, but worth it if you want something special.

Great flowers a bit more $ than Home Depot but bigger plants with better chance of success.

I was under the impression I was purchasing ladybugs but it turns out it was asian lady beetles that resemble a ladybug. I was bit 5 times by these "ladybugs" and I had 5 small welts on my hand and arm . My daughter also got bit.DO NOT PURCHASE THESE "LADYBUGS "!
