Landscaping reviews across the US

This is second application Jaquan has applied. The first was applied when there was no rain anticipated for at least a week - the week we had extremely and unusually hot and humid weather. This recent, second application was the day that there was a 'chance' of rain in the evening, which never developed. Prior to both applications, I was never notified, which the previous person I had, who worked for a local landscaping company, would ALWAYS TRY to contact me via phone call or text me the day before or, if rain was eminent, the day of. So, actually, I am not happy with the application process ir the results thereafter. I am looking at other options.

Jaxson from Rankin Lawn Care came out for the first time and did a great job. My family was visiting from out of state and the kids were running around the yard when he showed up, but he handled it like a pro—super respectful and still got everything done right. Really appreciated how he worked around the chaos without skipping a beat. Solid first impression!

I wasn’t home when he sprayed my yard, but I watched him from my ring camera. He sprayed the whole front yard and actually went into my driveway and sprayed the weeds in my driveway. I certainly appreciate that.😃

Ciara did a thorough job of treating the lawn. She was also good with my dogs and helping me to corral them inside. Now we just need some rain.

UPDATE: The service manager called after seeing this review and explained the email notices I received were a standard notice the applicator used. Most people get the weedkiller program and that is the notice that was sent. If I dig down farther in the email links, I can see the product used was granular fertilizer , as I had requested. Kudos to the company for following up! ---------------------- We signed up for granular fertilizer without weedkiller to be used every time they come. The first application notice said weed killer was used. The second application notice said liquid fertilizer was used and “in most cases weeds were treated” (no idea if that means our lawn or not). I’ve called twice to clarify our contract and the messages sent to me but there has been no progress getting things right. We are trying to establish a mixed clover and grass lawn and thought your service could help but I have my doubts now.

Joquan was very helpful today. He took the time to answer several questions I had. He also did a separate application in a section of our backyard where silver dollar weeds were taking off. Also, he was very polite and friendly. Nice job!

I am extremely upset with this company. I have asked them since they started to give me a days notice as to when they were coming because I have dog plus I want to discuss any issues. They said they would and never have. Hopefully I will get a call from them on this because you really can’t get anyone on the phone. I have auto pay so I am not paying for it. In addition I have issues that evidently they don’t care to hear about. So consider this my cancellation

Izak was very attentive when I asked him to spot treat the weeds in our yard. We'll watch to make sure they start turning brown. He also stated that he was applying fertilizer too. So far our yard is looking better this year but we have had a wetter Spring so that has helped.

I talked with Joseph very nice guy. I asked him about crabgrass in my flower beds. He
explained why it was a very good growing for them and they are everywhere.

Very pleased so far.
Rachel came to house in Jackson and was very informative. She was able to provide more service and for a better price than my previous lawn care company.

The gentlemen showed up For my first Fertilization
treatment, Which was only was only a few days later, and did a great job from what I could see.

We have been very satisfied with the treatments Jaquan has applied to our yard so far this year. He is friendly and always tries to answer any questions we might have. We appreciate having the same person for every application also

Poor quality of ingredients. This company took over when our lawn company stopped doing lawn services and our yard looks so bad and they’ve only had the contract for two years. It is absolutely horrible. The people are great. The products they use are the bottom of the barrel. Waste of money And then your yard when you look out Is the ugliest you’ve ever seen it! We have odd, bright, green, spiky grass growing up, we have brown spots everywhere and the crabgrass is unreal.

Jaxon is an eccentric technician. Very caring and always ask if we are meeting expectations as well as addressing concerns on the lawn. Very satisfied with his service.

Austin was very informative and helpful with explaining the difference between packages that are offered for lawn service.

This has nothing to do with Ciara I know she knows nothing about lawns. She just does what she is told. I’m disappointed in Rankin. I call two days before say that the grass where I had two Oak is dead. I was looking for a reason or a solution to this issue. I read Ciara report an she said the lawn look great no issues that’s a problem for me and for my lawn.

Alot of weeds for alot of money being given to Rankin. We are rethinking who our lawn care provider will be next year.

After telling Rankin that we didnt want them to do our lawn anymore after last year due to their piss poor quality (see above) they came out last week and knocked on the door. The gentleman told us he was from Rankin to do the lawn I told him that we no longer wanted Rankin. Then today, 3/31/25 I get a text asking how a kid did on our lawn. Got home and there was a Rankin sign in my yard. Now, I am on hold (28 minutes and counting) wanting an explanation on why they pull there crap. If they think this will keep as a customer they are gravely mistaken. Wouldnt refer Rankin to anyone unless they like crabgrass and weeds in their yard.

Today 4/23 was our first appointment. I was told they would call prior to pulling up and would knock on the door and explain how everything works. If I wanted more of this(add other packages) or had questions or concerns. I was actually super excited. Due to my neighbors on both sides of me having beautiful yards (they had a Rankin sign in their yard hence why I called) I was dropping my kids off at school and got a text asking to rank Jamal’s work at 8:50am. I was so upset that I missed the house visit. None of my questions got answered. None of just a “this is how it works” explanation. Nothing on Jamal fault. I’m sure he did a wonderful job. Maybe it was the sales end misinforming me on how the customer care goes about on a daily routine,maybe they don’t call anymore. Either way I just have that sign to verify they were here. 🤷🏽‍♀️ I guess looking forward to having beautiful lawn like my neighbors 🤣

Seems like Joe expressed a desire to do a good job at our home and we hope that’s the case. Very polite and personable and he worked diligently to get the lawn fertilizer down.

He got every corner and let me know What he did on a detailed paper! Very much appreciated
