I have found that the plants here are healthier than what I purchase elsewhere. Usually I’m struggling with some plants due to clay soil but this year everything I purchased seems to be doing better than those from a competitor. It is very rare that I end up with a plant that’s root bound. Their prices are a little more than the other stores on some plants but I’m not digging up dead plants as much as before. I also find that their plants have a lot less weeds being transferred which is a plus because who wants to deal with additional weeds?

Matthew was very knowledgeable and patient in helping me find the perfect Christmas tree. He even told me about Tree Preserve to extend the life of my tree. (I've never bought one this early, so I am relieved to have bought it.) Ms Denise made the checkout process a breeze, too.

I’m not one to leave reviews but I felt moved with my experience recently and compelled to leave this review for genuine good /in a positive way. I feel we all should stop and take the time to praise one another as it’s so dire in today’s world for more Godly light in humans, positivity and kindness to all.
I wanted to leave a review for Phil, Perkins Road,Louisiana Nursey Associate who was more than exceptional. Not only did he stop to ask when passing if he could help in anyway, he was genuinely kind, a wonderful listener and taught me along the way about the plants we looked at for my urns. When I went plant shopping again (less than two weeks) for more to add in areas, he noticed me and stopped his work to come walk with me every step of the way just as he did the first time. To say the least his warm welcome, his genuine kindness, his gentleman gestures from pushing the cart , helping in picking each tree/plants up and loading it on the cart which I only intended to do myself, walking with me, get protective paper for my car to loading my SUV and making sure they were carefully placed and secure would make one stop and take in such extended efforts and care as this isn’t common any longer today. It was to say the least a breath of fresh air.
Yes, it may be someone’s job but when there is selflessness and one genuinely moving/acting with their heart is what makes Phil a shining light that was so brightly obvious in today’s dark world. What a gem you have Louisiana Nursery!! May this review be read by the owners and may you Phil who does this everyday to everyone/stranger you encounter, when no one is watching, be recognized significantly for your selfless character and being such an exceptional gentleman and asset to this company. (Including your two degrees in Horticulture )

Super friendly and helpful staff are one of the main reasons we make this the first place we go for plants and gardening. The location is packed with a wide variety of items and the outdoor nursery is well maintained with an overwhelming variety of plants. You can easily spend an hour here. Parking is much easier than the big box stores in town and the staff is very reliable when it comes to helping you load your car.

Phil went the extra mile to help me replant and arrange my succulent tank! He also took the time to talk me through the care for the tank so I hopefully don't have another crash. I couldn't be more happy with the level of customer service.

Wonderful nursery . Plants are very healthy. Lots of variety. I love this place . Must see. The citrus trees are blooming. It smells amazing!!!

All the plants at this nursery look very healthy. Large selection of plants and pots. I cannot seem to stay away! I always feel very welcome and all the plant specialists are eager to help and offer advice.

Phil was very kind and helped me pick out some wonderful plants for my new sensory garden at my school for my kindergarteners! The kids will love it!

I tend to look around for tropical and they carry pretty much all the common ones you would expect. Great range of sizes too. Pots, soil, what ever you could need. Pricing is about average, maybe a little high, but again, most other places in the area won’t carry similar quality stock.

Definitely check out their hanging monstera, it’s massive.

One of the managers took time to wisely advise me on what trilogy of plants would work well w 2 planters I had bought from you 20 years ago. BEST those planters have ever looked!!!! Thank you, neighbors!

I called Louisiana nursery on Perkins Road to ask about hummingbird plants. Marshall took me to school, and church (since it’s Sunday 😄), and I have never had more fun in two minutes and five seconds in my entire 56 years. I am now going to YouTube University to make a decision, and try and narrow down all of the options and information that Marshall shared. The level of knowledge and options readily available shows this young man’s commitment to the world of horticulture.

I can’t say enough great things about Louisiana Nursery in Baton Rouge! Every time I walk in, I am blown away by the incredible selection of plants, decorations , and garden essentials. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just starting out, this place has everything you need.

The staff is beyond helpful and knowledgeable—they answered all my questions and even gave me tips on how to care for my new plants. I was especially impressed by how organized and well-maintained everything was. You can tell they truly care about the quality of their plants and their customers’ experience.

I also loved the seasonal offerings and unique decorative items they carry. It’s so much more than just a nursery—it’s an inspiration for your home and garden. Prices are very reasonable for the quality, and they often have great sales.

If you’re in Baton Rouge and love plants, gardening, or just want to spruce up your space, Louisiana Nursery is an absolute must-visit. I’ll definitely be back again and again!

I was super impressed with their selection of flowers and great prices! I walked away with more than I was planning on getting but didn’t spend as much as I thought I would! Very helpful and friendly!

I love Plants. I usually head tot he nursery because it therapeutic for me. Today I stopped in looking for a large plant for my entryway. I didnt find one that I wanted but I found the cutest plants ever..
The variety at this location is awesome and the plants are fabulous. Today every employee I passed greeted me. And as a special treat I received a rose for Mothers Day.

Very accommodating customer service, great selection of plants and all supplies you need. Pots are 20% off at the moment, and they restocked on mulch and indoor plants recently. Love this place!

Ladies Nite Out is a wonderful event. Got started on my Christmas shopping and had a very nice evening. We were at the Perkins Road location.

They always have tropical plants that I just can't live without. Courteous staff and management.

Awesome selection of plants an outdoor decor. I'm never disappointed in the selections. Today I bought healthy plum trees full of buds. I'll be back for flowers, vegetables, and fruits this weekend. I only wish there was a way to pull up your membership number, I couldn't remember which phone number was used and there didn't seem to be another way.
