We hired Taylor & Tyler to fix our AC when it wasn't cooling. After misdiagnosing the issue and $600 later the AC was still not working. Turned out to be something as simple as replacing the thermostat. When we requested to speak to the owner we were denied. We were either been had or their techs were that bad. Never again. It was an expensive lesson to learn. Do yourself a favor find a reputable AC company that will not charge you again and again for their mistakes. Do not go with Taylor n Tyler.

It's Sunday, 2:30pm, May 29, 2022, its 90 degrees outside, and I noticed the air handler dripping water inside the house. I turned the unit off and called Taylor and Tyler. I have a PM yearly contract with them, so of course this is who I called for the emergency. They answered the phone within two rings. I must have caught them between calls because the A/C technician, Matt, was here in 30 minutes. He must have ran out the door and rushed here. He diagnosed the issue right away and fixed it in another 30 minutes. He ran the unit and waited to make sure it was working properly before he left. He cleaned up the mess, offered to take wet towels to my washing machine, and offered to empty my wet vac outside. My A/C was working and fixed before the internal house temp got above 82. This is superb customer service. Now, I know I chose the right company to do business with. I feel the emergency fee was super reasonable, especially given this level of service. These guys rock.

Called about 5 places before we went with Taylor & Tyler AC and we are glad we did. They did a great job, were quick and they let us know they were on the way which they showed up same day and on time at that. Also, our AC air condition repair at our rental home in New Orleans is still running strong a few weeks later and we are very pleased with their service for this too.

We called Taylor and Tyler on Thursday and they were able to send a technician to our home the next day. Everyone we spoke with on the phone was courteous, professional, and helpful. The technician who visited our home, Trumaine, was also courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and did an incredible job explaining the issues with our AC unit. He was patient with us and answered all of our questions. He even worked to acquire a quote for a new AC system us before he left our home. Trumaine provided us with exemplary service!!! Thank you, Taylor & Tyler HVAC Repair Contractors!

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Save yourself time and money. We called this company to take a look at our AC. The outside unit was working fine, we just wanted to inquire about getting our house as cool as possible. The technician that came out promised us that our house would be cooler before he left. He took our outside unit apart and cleaned it and he also removed some coolant because he said we had too much and it was pass the normal level of where it should be. We paid a total of $395. One day later the unit goes out completely after being worked on by the technician. We call to let them know and the first representative we talked to insured my husband that we would not be charged for them to come back out and look at the problem. The same technician came back out and tried to charge us another $395 to fix a part that was no longer working all of a sudden. My husband called the company again and was told that they would not waive the $95 service charge for the tech to come out nor would they fix the problem that wasn’t a problem until the tech messed with the unit. We were scammed. We decided not to proceed with the service since we would’ve had to pay an additional $395. We did however have to pay another $95 service charge for the tech coming back out. Now not only are we out of $490 but our unit is still broken due to this technician. We called to speak with someone in charge but we were told pretty much that it wasn’t their problem and that they would not fix the issue that their company tech caused. Our house is extremely hot now and my husband, myself, and our kids have to use fans which is a major inconvenience especially because I have a sick toddler and we have no money to even stay in a hotel until we find another company to come fix what this company damaged. I would not recommend anyone to deal with this type of headache. We paid this company to help us but instead they damaged our unit and took our hard earned money. This is ridiculous that a company would scam at a time like this when everyone is trying to stay home and out of the way to avoid getting Covid yet they decided to take advantage of customers. I regret that we called them in the first place. My hope is to save others from the scamming that we couldn’t save ourselves from. Review by Gordon Pierre’s wife.

They charged my parents almost $600 to clean their unit. They spent less than an hour there.
They took off the fee for driving out there so I'm grateful for that.

    I will never refer T&T!

My unit of 18 years went out. I called Taylor and Tyler at 7am on a Friday morning and they sent a service guy out right away. After Matt checked out our unit it was evident that we needed a new system. Matt explained to us what was wrong with the old unit and the pros and cons of fixing and replacing. We decided to replace. He called his boss Eric and he came right over to talk to us about replacement. Eric offered us three options. A good, better and best option. We opted for the best option. Matt was able to fix our old unit to get us through the weekend and the installation guys were at our door first thing Monday morning. Everything went smoothly and we were back in business Monday evening. We had a great experience with Taylor and Tyler and will recommend them to others. Thanks guys!

I truly feel like I'm calling a friend or neighbor when I call Taylor & Tyler. They're one of those New Orleans area family businesses that I rely on to keep my home running. I know, despite how major or minor the heating or cooling issue, they're going to to deal with it honestly, competently and professionally. The dispatchers are so friendly and helpful as well- they always do their best to resolve an issue over the phone if possible.

Today, my technician, Matt, worked persistently, with great attention to figure out a complicated issue with my heating that occurred after a few weeks of cold weather. Matt did a great job explaining the issues and despite the time it took and complexity of the issue, he only charged for a simple service fee.

Heating and cooling (especially in our part of the world) is a huge component of home maintenance. I'm so thankful for Taylor & Tyler- they have my business for life.

On August 15, 2023, I called to have service done on several ac units at my apartment complex. I gave them the list of addresses and apartments while we discussed the service being done over the next few days. On August 16, 2023, we were on the schedule for a technician to service three of our units. At 11:34 I called for an update, we discussed further the details of the service calls and i was told, they would call when a technician was on the way. At 4:03pm i get a called, stating they would not be servicing my property due to the volume of work i needed. They stated it was beyond their capability and they did apologize. My issue and reason behind this review is that, we spoke a few times and i feel as though when i initially gave the units & they noticed the amount of work, i should have been turned away then, not strung along the whole day. I gave the tenants notice that a vendor's technician would be coming and then last time had to explain that they cancelled and would not be serviced until we could find another vendor. I really could not believe a business would turn away work especially when a payment was being made the same day but it is what it is & i hope they get better communication.

I've done business with T&T for a number of years, and because I'm a real estate agent, I also referred business to them. Today marks the last day I will ever do business with Taylor & Tyler. They have recently been purchased by Southern Air, so there's no more local independent ownership, but I was told there would be no changes. Well, I had an appointment for T&T to inspect two mini split systems and one standard HVAC system in a home two of my clients are in the process of buying. At exactly the same time the tech was supposed to be at the house for the inspection, I was called by T&T (now owned by Southern Air) and was told that the new management policy dictated that unless the Mini-Split systems were bought from Southern Air, that they would not come out to inspect them. Goodbye Southern Air, you have already succeeded in screwing up a previously very good business.

I’ve used Taylor and Tyler for over 4 years with great success, as a military member managing a small property from a distance. They have lost my business due to an idiotic new policy. It will allow significantly less flexibility in addressing tenant issues, since it now requires property manager or owner on site for all repairs, despite no concerns over tenants being there ever having occurred with my property over the years. I am sorry to have lost them as a viable option and will be seeking another solution. They’re bureaucratically run now and no longer flexible to working with customers. Good luck to you if you have a unique need. The customer service manager was coldly unhelpful.

I am also here to warn others that Taylor and Tyler is no longer in existence. When I called I was redirected to Southern Air Nola. I thought, "How much different could they be?" My takeaway is very different. Two weeks later, I'm 3 grand poorer, and I've had to deal with them several times. They are clearly all about upselling you on all these needs you might have. We just wanted to get our HVAC serviced like we used to by Taylor and Tyler. They might find the need to put freon in or had an occasional repair recommendation. But I don't remember them charging over 400 dollars for parts that cost under 10 dollars. Evidently the cost of labor for them is a minimum of $400. I'm all in favor of people making a living wage, but that seems exorbitant. I had them out a second time because all of a sudden it wasn't working and I assumed they had done something wrong. They claimed another part wasn't working and it would be another $400. It was also not their fault because these things go out all the time, and They'd have had no idea about this a week earlier.
I paid it because we have a baby in a freezing house. I would never call them again. Other than to make sure that my year long "Membership" does not renew.
