The knowledge base for projects and design coupled with the tremendous customer communication and care sounded incredible and the real life experience lived up to everything Larry promised. Schneider Construction and Restoration worked with our architect to help create the perfect whole house renovation and to bring our vision to life. Even better, it was completed on time and on budget! Mallory, our project manager, was always accessible and met with us weekly to update us on every part of our project along the way. Mallory, her crew and all of the subs she hired cared about our opinion and worked meticulously on every facet of the project. As a termite professional working with Schneider construction has always been enjoyable and productive. We have absolutely loved working with Schneider and, in particular, with Ellen on a large kitchen renovation project. We provided cabinetry materials and installation, and from day one, Ellen and her team were exceptional. She was a true advocate for her client, demonstrating a deep understanding of their design intentions, expectations, and timeline. This led to highly productive meetings and a streamlined process that often becomes cumbersome.

I finally found what I thought could be my forever home. The only problem was that the 1930's house needed to be completely renovated. With my busy schedule, it was not an effort that I looked forward to. After hearing so many stories from family and friends about renovation disasters, I came to the project with my guard up. After doing some research, I decided to work with Schneider Construction for the effort. Larry runs a top-notch organization. He runs his business the way you would hope for your general contractor to operate: superb leadership, excellent budgeting and cost management, Gantt Chart scheduling, and best of all - not often seen accountability.
Alejandra was my Project Manager, and a newer member of the team. But she came with the smarts, confidence, enthusiasm and attention to detail that resulted in the outcome I had hoped for. She kept me informed every step of the way, sending pictures and texts and engaging any way necessary to make sure we were always on the same page. She was very customer focused, and regularly checked in to see that I was happy with the progress. I thoroughly enjoyed working with her, and I'll really miss our partnership.
Finally, Mallory was the Construction Manager on my job. She came with the academic creds that take home construction and renovation to the next level. With a degree in construction management from LSU, I can confidently say "she knows her stuff".
I'm thrilled to be moving into my new home and I'm so glad that I can look back fondly on the whole renovation experience.

My wife and I decided to renovate an attached “pool house” space with two floors. We chose Schneider because they had worked with a relative on a remodeling job at her house and was pleased. Fortunately Schneider had “space” for our job in their schedule with a few new interns to manage the project. The project came in on-time, within budget, and to our satisfaction.

I want to express my complete satisfaction with our recent Kitchen Renovation completed by Schneider Construction. From the initial consultation to the final walk through this has been a wonderful experience. Mallory Hymel, VP of Operations supervised the entire project, which went as smoothly and seamlessly as possible. All of her subcontractors were knowledgeable, professional, timely, respectful of our property, offered excellent workmanship and went above and beyond to make sure we were 100% satisfied with the work completed. All subs were licensed and insured, which eased our mind. When we had issues or concerns, Mallory addressed them immediately to our satisfaction. Our work was 100% completed in 3 weeks and 1 day. Our estimate reflected our final bill, which has never happened in other construction projects we've completed. How many times have you had those surprises tacked on at then end? Not in this case. We love our new kitchen and attribute our total satisfaction to Schneider Construction and Restoration and the tireless and skillful work of Mallory Hymel. I can't thank them enough. I was contracted to do a tadelakt install for one of Schneider's clients and had the great fortune to work with Ellen Buckman who was managing the project. It was a very complex project and her communication and direction throughout the process was top notch. I was very grateful to work with such a knowledgable person and team as a whole. Schneider Construction did a fantastic job on our pool/pool house/garage build. They were thorough, careful, skillful, attentive, and on-time. They were absolutely professional every step of the way. We are the 3rd generation to own my grandparents home. We spoke to numerous contractors and quickly became discouraged. Our last call was to Schneider Construction & Restoration. Larry contacted us that evening and set a phone appointment with my husband and I the next day. After only 30 minutes on the phone, we knew immediately this company had our best interest in mind. From the first day to the last, they didn’t leave any stone unturned. Every day someone was working on our house, every Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. we had phone meetings, our project managers stayed in contact constantly and answered ALL our questions. There was never a time we ever had to remind them to do anything, as they always remembered what you wanted and said. Larry, Mallory, Kristin and Kate work so perfectly together. Kristin and Kate were our project managers. Kristin left for maternity leave and Kate was our go-to person. Kristin and Kate are one of the exact same, the transition was flawless and perfect. We had full confidence working with everyone at Schneider. Through this process and just as important, we learned quickly after talking to the vendors and different trades, the amount of respect ALL the vendors have for Larry and his team. They were all so very professional, perfectionist and were all punctual. Their gratefulness and loyalty to Larry and his team was like no other!!! We just completed the extensive renovation of our old Uptown home with Schneider. Our goal was to keep as much of the original detail as possible, while updating the floorplan, electrical, roof, kitchens, and baths. Schneider listened and gave us the house of our dreams – and sooner than planned!

Alejandra was the superstar project manager that coordinated the renovation and made it all happen. She communicated with us daily with updates, planned every detail, and came up with solutions to unexpected issues that come with a project of this magnitude. I could go on and on about how wonderful it was to work with such a professional; she made what could have been a stressful experience an enjoyable one.

But every single person who helped us finish this project was amazing. From Larry, Ellen, and Mallory helping us with our vision and pricing, to Kate helping with all of the finish picks, to every last worker – carpenters, tilers, wood floor restorers, plumbers, electricians, cabinet makers – who went above and beyond to bring this home back to its original glory (and then some). If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.

We had a long, complicated renovation with Schneider Construction and I could not give them higher marks. They finished in good timing, on budget, fixed anything that remained on the punch list. We would ABSOLUTELY recommend Schneider Construction.

Absolutely not professional, they promised to rewire our entire double shot-gun and bring everything up to code. They did a half ass job, which took six months and then some to be done(they told us it would be done in 2-3 weeks). We had to constantly harass them into doing their job (which by the way they didn't even finish, we are missing five plug in that they promised us in the original contract!). On top of that we had to have them come back and redo the roof attic wiring, because we saw that they ran new wiring right into the old asbestos wiring that was falling apart and giving off sparks if you touched it! When they sent some guys over to look at it, they told us, "this is a fire hazard and illegal", then they asked us, "Who did this?" We said, "you did!" I guess the workers they sent over didn't know that E-1 had done the job to begin with. Who knows what other fire hazards are hidden in the electrical that they did, but we can't see. When they reran the wiring they had to take off all our light plates and when they put them back on half of them our backwards. So, now some of the switches you need to turn down in order to turn on the lights and fans, others up! Not only did we pay them to rewire the whole house they took our money and hooked us up to the old wiring! Luckily we saw before our house burnt down! Dishonest under all points of view, and they bid for a price but they wanted more money along the way for an awful job. We gave them more just to have electricity! And we still have no idea if the job is up to code, and currently we can't afford a professional to take a look at our wiring. If it wasn't for the fact that I can't afford it, I would sue them. When we hired them many of our neighbors warned us about them, but we had already started the process. We had hoped that they were exaggerating, but I wish I would have listened to them at the time and just hired a different company.
