What a morale booster! I have been putting off getting the yard in shape after the winter because I really don't have the motivation. I called Exterior Design and had them come clean out the beds, trim everything back and add fresh mulch. What a difference. I have been motivated to buy new potted plants to add to the front yard. Now it looks great!!! I decided I was going to attack the back yard last weekend. When I went out there Saturday morning, I decided to have Exterior Design give me an estimate on doing the basics in the back yard. There is nothing like a clean, up- kept yard to energize you. I am so happy I made this decision.

After much research on landscape architects, I hired Beverly to convert my entire small Metairie backyard into a French Quarter courtyard. Architecture is my background and I had a definite design concept in mind. However, I did not have the knowledge of the plants and other aspects that should go into this unique type of setting. Beverly worked very closely with me and my initial ideas and ultimately came up with an amazing representation of the real French Quater patios that I admired my entire life. Further, and another key reason that I chose her, was her amazing team of subs that were able to do EVERYTHING needed to install the job-masonry, general construction, irrigation, landscape lighting, subsurface drainage, plant sources and landscape installers. This was critical for me as I wanted a true "turnkey" job. In addition, we had a very intricate large brick water fountain that was the key element in the total design and had to be constructed from scratch. Due to the soft soils in much of Jefferson Parish, we had to drive four 65' helical piles to support the weight of the entire unit. Her contractor amazingly had the special pile driving machine needed and did all of this work himself. Finally, I must give high accolades to her mason/stone paver sub. I did not want any grass but only pavers similar to those used in the FQ. His installation work was nothing short of spectacular and along with the fountain is the key aspect to the overall design. Beverly was involved every step of the way and always wanted to make sure that I was pleased with the design and installation. I truly feel that I'm living in the FQ!! In conclusion, I can't speak highly enough of Beverly and strongly recommend her for any landscape design and installation work that you may ever need.
