Having to do any sort of repairs on a home can be scary especially when it comes to installing insulation on a new home. Koala Insulation made the entire process both seemless and stress free. From the walk through to the final coat of paint these guys were the utmost professionals. Ryan, Jasper, and Paul are team that care about the quality of their work.
I would definitely recommend for your insulation instakling needs.

Jeffery L decided at some point that he was unwilling to take or schedule a call to answer questions about the quote he gave. Questions asked via email also went unanswered. I was told we could add or remove line items until the quote somehow became their “best and final offer” when I asked to schedule a call for the final time. Luckily, I was able to catch him on the phone five minutes after he sent that email and he was able to tell me “I’m in a meeting” moments before he hung up on me.

Very hard to reconcile the friendly, helpful guy that came to my house with the guy unwilling to communicate afterward.

Koala Insulation removed the old nasty blown insulation from my attic and replaced it. We are very happy with the results. It was a two day job and they showed up on time, were efficient, and cleaned up after themselves. Would recommend them without reservation.

My attic fiberglass blow in installation was just completed an hour ago. Needless to say, I couldn’t wait to rave about my awesome experience with Koala Installation.

Ryan completed my “FREE” estimate last Thursday and the install by Richard and his crew was today.

The estimate and install process was expedited with ease. Ryan explained his observations and my options. I was very impressed by his knowledge and professionalism. Richard and his crew arrived for the install ahead of schedule. They were polite, prepped the area while taking care to cover my floors. Wore foot coverings so not to track anything into my home. They were professional and efficient. They cleaned up when they were finished and the entire install process was approximately 3hours.

We just purchased our first home last week. We expressed how in the addition of the home there was cold floors and no insulation in that part of the home. They came out 2 days in the cold 20 degree weather and put new insulation in the crawl space. Thank you Chief and Howard for barring the cold to make our new home toasty warm. Customer service was very nice and would recommend and use everytime in need of these services!

Koala Insulation went above and beyond to make sure the job was done right the first time. They ran out of insulation initially and sent someone with more so that the job was done same day. The guys were nice, personable and knowledgeable. It was a long, cold day (25°) and they did their best to move quickly without sacrificing quality. They laid cloth and plastic over the floor and furniture so as to not track insulation everywhere. Then cleaned what little had escaped. They showed photos before and after they completed the job too. I’m more than satisfied with their work and would definitely recommend to anyone who needs a job done right.

I was very happy with the results Koala did to insulate my attic for this winter. They did an excellent of spreading the insulation all over the attic floor evenly and even added few extra inches what they quoted for. They also threw in an attic tent for the enclosure and a fresh scent stray with the insulation. The crew were very respectful and professional in prepping for the job with drop cloths and cleaning up after the job was done.
Their price was most reasonable and flexible with the three estimates I received. Highly recommended if you decide to insulate your attic for the winter.

Jasper was very informative and explained insulation and the process very well. He was honest with what he thought would be best and didn’t try to oversell. The work was completed as promised. It was a great experience and I would use koala again.

I can not recommend Koala enough. From the scheduling, to receiving an estimate, to the actual delivery of services- everyone I interacted with were nice and knowledgeable. I just spent days in my attic getting old junk out but the team did such a good job on the various projects up there that I barely recognized it! The attention to detail of leaving a space for storage as we requested was much better than I could have imagined.

Lovely company to work with. Quick to come out for the estimate, which was painless and extremely honest. I was actually asking for areas to be insulated that really just physically couldn't be improved much. Instead of just charging me for it despite it's minimal improvement they talked me out of it and focused on those areas that they could really improve.

The crew on the day installed attic, skylight, and basement insulation and cleaned up remarkably well after. Very pleased with the result, which has been noticeable. A pleasure to work with Koala.

This experience with Koala Insulation was great from start to finish! From scheduling the appt to the initial consultation. Jasper was sent out to discuss the attic remediation I was in need of. I was quoted an insane amount from a pest control company and was looking for a realistic and affordable option. Jasper was nothing short of amazing! Explaining the process and helped me get the best solutions for the best cost. The energy assessment that’s part of the job and provides rebates was so helpful. The install lived up to the same great experience. The installers were professional, knowledgeable, and let me know what they were doing. They cleaned up very well after the work was complete. I wish I got their names so I could call them out personally. Great work fellas! I never thought insulation could be such a great experience but then I met the great people at Koala. Highly recommend!

Koala did a very good job with my attic insulation. They arrived on time and explained what they were doing. I was also impressed by the quality of their work. Their price was very reasonable. Overall, they were very professional. I highly recommend Koala.

I used Koala Insulation of the Greater Baltimore Area for attic insulation and fan installation. The process started out great. My sales representative, Jeffrey L., was excellent at explaining my attic’s insulation and ventilation needs. He took the time to go over insulation types and important factors I hadn’t considered, like air sealing and clearing the soffits. I received a quote the same day, and I ultimately chose this company because of their fair pricing, positive reviews, and the professional initial communication.

However, the project didn’t go as smoothly as promised. I was originally told the job (removing and installing insulation in a 2,000 sq ft attic plus installing two fans) would take one day. When scheduling, the owner, Ryan, advised it could be two days, possibly a half day more, which was understandable.

The crew on day one was polite and kept the workspace clean, laying down protective plastic. On day two, I asked the new crew if they’d finish that day, including the fans, and they assured me they would. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen.

On day three, the crew continued the insulation work, but the fans were still not installed. The supervisor, Jasper, came at the end of the day to tell me they needed a longer ladder and would have to return a fourth day. I was extremely frustrated, especially since the home measurements could have been noted during the initial sales visit or earlier in the project. Being stuck at home multiple days with a toddler and having to keep rescheduling appointments was very disruptive.

Additionally, I noticed several areas on my staircase where the friction from the hose caused wall paint to chip and flake away, which required me to do touch-up painting afterward. I’d recommend that future customers make sure all surfaces where hoses might come into contact are covered with plastic for protection.

Jasper said he’d speak with the owner about possible discount for the delay and get me scheduled ASAP for the fan installation. However, “as soon as possible” turned out to be a full seven days later. The crew who finally installed the fans did a fantastic job, but I never received any follow-up from either Jasper or Ryan about the delay or the inconvenience it caused.

Overall, Koala Insulation did quality work, and the crews were courteous and professional on-site. But the project took significantly longer than promised due to poor planning and communication, and the lack of follow-up or accountability left me disappointed. Because of these issues, I’m giving this company 3 out of 5 stars. I hope sharing my experience helps others make an informed decision.

If I could give Doug 6 stars I would. He was very professional and was very easy to work with. I needed a basement bathroom put in which included drywall, plumbing and electrical needs. He was able to get it done within the agreed timeframe and at a great cost! I would recommend and use him anytime I need work done in the future.
