We had copper path lights installed by Outdoor Illumination and they look fantastic. Excellent quality, great service and advice, and very reasonable prices.

I called to find an electrical line that powers outside gazebo that recently got shorted due to storm. The line is buried below grass, so I called them and sent them pictures to see if they could find the line and fix it because they specialize in outside electrical. Even though they charge $115 to have the person come out to estimate the work, I said I was willing to pay because the rep assured me they could find it. The guy did come out but couldn't find it and said a new line has to be laid, at a cost of 8 hours or about $1000 plus materials, plus additional fees. When I told the rep it was too expensive and was ready pay for one hour of work, he said there would be additional fees including "trip" fee and materials fee. I wasn't aware of this and when I asked how much it was, he wouldn't answer it at first. Only after repeated ask, he said it's $65. Not sure what "materials" fee will be for estimating work. I still haven't received my invoice so I have no idea how much I'm going to be charged for the estimate work. Beware and make sure to send you an invoice before booking any appointments, unless you want to be charge exorbitant amount of estimate work.

He really built expectations on pricing and schedule which is not too common right now given demand. Installation was prompt and professional and the end result is terrific.

We had a great experience with Outdoor Illumination installing some accent lighting for our trees, outdoor dining table and even a piece of outdoor sculpture. Pete and the team were on time, responsive, and creative in approaching the project.

I had tried my own lighting project for while and gave that up. When Pete came by for my initial estimate, I was impressed with his immediate understanding of the horticultural considerations (like how to integrate the trees and shrubs into the lighting effect), the technical electrical requirements, and his immediate creativity with best angles and light positions personalized to the facade of my home. Almost all completed within a day, workers left everything pristine, and he didn't invoice me until he knew I was completely satisfied with the job.

Outdoor Illumination did a fantastic job on our lighting project. I called them because they came highly recommended by friends and on our neighborhood listserv, and their work exceeded our expectations. Pete Strain came up with creative ideas we had not considered, and we are thrilled with the end result. His crew was polite and very professional.

I wish every experience with contractors were this positive! From the initial email contact with Pete Strain, every aspect of our lighting installation was performed impeccably. Pete responded quickly to every email communication and followed up with phone contact when more in-depth replies were warranted.

The proposed design exceeded our requirements and was enhanced further by creative ideas suggested by installer Miguel. Installers Miguel and Dávid were professional, efficient and extraordinarily neat. They arrived on time with Pete for the job overview, then proceeded to implement the plan with the confidence that accompanies competence. After the install, there was no visible trace of the trench for the electric cable. Their cleanup was so thorough that it even eliminated mess left by a previous contractor.

In summary, if you are looking for an outdoor lighting solution with an install experience as pleasing as its design, look no further than Outdoor Illumination.

Great communication, Zac was a pleasure to work with. We changed out our landscape lights to LED, we were able to keep our existing fixtures. We moved some around based on their recommendations. All went smoothly and looks terrific. I felt the work was great and the price reasonable.

I've worked with Outdoor Illumination for over 10 years at two residences. They do excellent work. Their designs are subtle and intended to emphasize a home's architectural elements. They do not overwhelm.
Anyone can add bright lights to shine against your home. But a real designer adds warmth, interest and beauty. Outdoor Illumination has real designers.

Rear yard lighting of trees and landscaping adds both beauty and safety.

Good quality materials, installation and design are hallmarks of Outdoor Illumination. Their employees show up on time, do good work, and clean up. They stand behind their installation and design.

I also have a service contract. They periodically visit and adjust lights that may have been moved by my landscapers. They replace bulbs as needed. Very reasonably priced for these follow up services.

I recommend them without qualification.

We have been loyal customers for over 20 years. From installation to maintenance, Outdoor Illumination continues to make our house and grounds shine brightly.

We hired this contractor to install backyard lighting. After we gave them a downpayment, they worked with us, laid out a plan and installed the lights. The company was responsive to our requests to adjust or move lights but only as long as there was an outstanding balance. After we paid them the remainder of the contract they were no longer interested in servicing our lighting as needed. A neighbor saw our lights and asked for the name of the company. The neighbor hired them but again, after the balance was paid the company refused to respond to their requests for help with their lights. While the lighting in our backyard is pleasant, this company's customer service leaves much to be desired. I would not recommend hiring them.
