Gary Frank’s crew have done numerous repairs in our condo over the years. They recently repaired a leaking shower for us. They always respond quickly, show up on time and leave the area neat and clean. They are always courteous and professional. I recommend them highly.

Gary P. Frank, Inc. and the company's technicians are top of the line. They removed an existing generator and installed a new Generac generator, which was a complex job. Professionalism, courteousness, experience, and know-how define this company and its technicians. They tackled any glitch that came their way with complete expertise. I could not have asked for a more wonderful experience with an HVAC company, and that is why I am turning over my heating and cooling system maintenance to Gary P. Frank, Inc. Peace of mind and excellent service is what you get with this company.

I just had a whole house gas generator installed and could not be more satisfied. Guy Philemon and his entire crew great. From the pricing, scheduling, punctuality and quality of work, I had a great experience. Highly recommend and I rarely write a review.

My recommendation is to stop looking for another HVAC contractor and hire Gary P Frank immediately. We spoke with several other contractors, large and small companies, about replacing our HVAC system. Our Gary P Frank team, led by Ricky Terrazas (who we highly recommend asking for), were prompt, courteous, professional, affordable, constantly communicated with us, and perhaps most importantly, did an incredible job with our HVAC replacement. We literally had them rip out all of the existing duct work in our basement and put a new unit in. The new system runs perfectly. We could not be happier with the service we received. In fact, because they did such an incredible job with the replacement of the first unit, we had them replace our second HVAC system as well! As an aside, as a sign of a truly well run company dedicated to excellent customer service, in upgrading our HVAC, we were dropping our furnace heating from 200k BTUs with 80% efficiency to a lower amount. I was worried about dropping it too much and initially asked for a 120k 97% efficient system. Ricky had Gary Frank (the owner of the company) himself come out and take a look at our house, after which they recommended an 80k unit. It's a huge drop in heat load but they insisted on running a manual J to test the heat load needed on our house. I'm glad they pushed me to do that because it showed clearly 80k was plenty of heat! To me, that was a clear sign of a great company focused on getting their customers the right product, not the most expensive one. My true recommendation is to stop looking around for an HVAC company and call this company to help you. You won't regret it.

Gary P Frank upgraded our complicated HVAC system (boilers and forced air). They took ownership of the project with a high degree of professionalism. Our new system has performed efficiently and flawlessly throughout the winter. We could not be more pleased. Thank you for excellent service.

Although we are renters and the landlord selected the service, we wanted to comment on the recent service we received from GPF. Technician Jeff Dickerson was great, on time, thoughtful, and thorough in diagnosing three separate issues with an underperforming condo convector unit. So, for him I'd give four stars, and would give five but he wasn't prepared with a replacement thermostat, which might have been possible had the first technician - yes they made two visits - provided information on the system to Mr. Dickerson in advance. As a professional handyman, myself, I can appreciate individual professionalism, but also note corporate communication deficiencies. All's well that ends well, though, as the diagnosis is leading to a cure.

Google persists in asking me how our experience with Gary P. Frank was recently. This is an honest review. I'm writing in hopes that others will not make the same mistake that we have for 12 years. After 12 years of being loyal customers, my husband and I can no longer recommend Gary P. Frank to friends, neighbors or strangers reading through reviews just like you.

We had a $900 AC repair done by GPF in mid-July. We used the system without issue until the 3rd week of September - 9 or 10 weeks. After having not used the system (high velocity) for AC-Fan-Heat we turned it on the morning of November 4th for heat. My husband noticed something didn't seem right. Once again the fan of the outside unit was not working. This very well could be the very same issue we had repaired in July for $900 (motor replacement).

We called to schedule an appointment and were shocked to learn that GPF will only honor the part replacement warranty (1 year). They do not guarantee their work. They will still charge us the $185 diagnostic fee PLUS labor cost EVEN IF THE ISSUE IS THE VERY SAME THAT WAS "REPAIRED" 15 weeks ago. Why does Gary P. Frank believe the onus is on the client rather than his team? Because this company is unprofessional and unethical. And like most companies in the DC region the driving force is greed.

Good contractors guarantee their labor. And many HVAC contractors will apply the diagnostic fee to work done - not Gary P. Frank.

Gary P. Frank does not guarantee their "work" and there's a very good reason for this refusal. They cannot because they already know they've given you inept unreliable repair (if in fact our unit was even given a new replacement part as they claimed - we never saw the old part removed or the new part we were charged for).

We explained that this is creating financial stress because neither my husband nor I are working due to the pandemic. We requested to speak with Mr. Frank but both the technician manager and office administrator claimed Mr. Frank is "out of town." No doubt having a lovely time with our $900.

Like most folks, we placed our faith in our HVAC contractor, Gary P. Frank. We even hired GPF to install the Mitsubishi mini-split system in our in-law suite 12 years ago. Although we hired SILA for the high velocity system in the main house - Gary P. Frank was our sole source for maintenance and repairs for BOTH systems for the past 12 years.

Our loyalty and trust meant absolutely nothing to Gary P. Frank. Nothing. Their customers are their bank - that's it. Gary P. Frank's business is solely about extracting as much money from their customers as possible without zero accountability from Mr. Frank and his crew. Customers are simply giving away their hard-earned money for nothing. Our only recourse is small claims court. An option we are researching.

To the tech manager (male) and office administrator (female). I would like to let you know that your scripted speech about your overhead as the reason for "having" to charge clients who've already paid for the alleged repair is insulting. No ethical company makes their client pay twice for the same repair. We, your client, are NOT trying to get something for nothing. That's your schtick and after 12 years we're finally on to it.

In the mean time, we were given a recommendation, by our carpenter, for another HVAC company. We have since learned so much from our new HVAC contractor. Things we wish we'd have discovered 12 years ago.

If you feel compelled to hire Gary P. Frank we recommend you get everything in writing before the tech begins the installation or repair. Ask a lot of questions. Don't rely on what was said to you on the phone. Request to see all parts. Periodically observe the tech(s) work. Still unsure or feel confused? Always ask more questions. For example, is the part new or refurbished? Always request to see the old part. Research the price of part(s) being replaced. GPF does not want curious and educated consumers. However, the best way to protect yourself against unscrupulous contractors is simply not to hire them.

We recently had our A/C go out on us and getting it replaced was as good of an experience as it could have been! David Coleman from Gary P. Frank Inc. was assisting us from the start. Unlike the other companies who gave estimates, he wasn’t pushing an agenda to replace, but instead to repair if it made sense to do so (in our case it didn’t). Working with him was refreshing because of both his professional demeanor and his knowledge of the system. He liaised with technical support and the technicians to make sure everything was done properly and in a timely manner. We’ve already referred this company to friends of ours with a similar issue. They’re great!

My second review of this business. I left an earlier 5 star when they stepped up in summers heat to get my geothermal running again. Called the other "big guys" with no luck, and found Gary P. Frank in my frantic search. Anyway, I told them thanks, I'd return. I did, and Jesse and crew were professional and so pleasant to deal with. Replaced my geothermal, and they explained grecs and rebate programs. Toasty and warm, and I plan to have them replace my other 25yr old heat pump next year.

I have been a customer on a comprehensive service contract for 18 years at two different homes and have found Gary and his employees to be incredibly responsive to urgent situations and perform all work in an excellent fashion. David made an emergency call today and was just awesome in getting our A/C back online. Can't recommend them enough.

I have use Gary P. Frank for Generator Maintenance.
Though they also installed 2 whole house generators for family members.
I have been extremely pleased with both their sales and service.
In particular, James Weastly. He is pleasant, professional and knowledgeable.
    I wholeheartedly recommend them!

I had a great experience with this company. Max was extremely professional and efficient. He diagnosed the issue with my mini split for free and replaced the coils in record time. More importantly, he worked with my warranty and didn't overcharge like other companies. I highly recommend Gary P. Frank.

What I thought was a generator issue really wasn't. Hugo was very friendly and knowledgeable and set me straight. Checked out overall operation, provided practical real-world suggestions for general maintainance. Well worth their general diagnostic charge.
    Would happily call again.

We lost heat due to a non-functioning part in our HVAC system. Jeff Dickerson worked on this each day, changing his plans to do so, until he had the right part located and installed. He really cared about us and he was really committed to the quality and timeliness of his work. What a pleasure it is to know that Jeff Dickerson, and Gary P Frank, are out there, providing quality HVAC work and superb customer service each and every time.

I never hired Gary L Frank company but I had experience with them in the past and they honestly have the mentality "know-it-all" first customer service second. I don't necessarily blame them per say because all plumbing and Hvac companies are a dime and the same. Go with cautious. Shop around. Free estimate are great (though not necessary free) but a great tool to find the right company

We have used Gary P. Frank since we bought our house 25 years ago. The previous owner had installed a dual zone HVAC system by GPF. We have just had to replace one of the furnaces, which was 27 years old. The other unit is still going strong! GPF replaced one AC unit just a couple of years ago. We have had a service contract that GPF has honored and made most repairs over the years under this contract at no charge. They are always dependable and conscientious. While not necessarily being the cheapest bidder on a job, we stand by their quality service and highly recommend them.

I am a property manager for a high-rise condominium building in Arlington, VA. I have been working with David Coleman since around 2018 Fall, who is very well versed in his trade. David has always guided me down the right path in my journey to be able to solve the leaks, HVAC issues and building riser blockage. His honesty and willingness to go above and beyond makes him an asset to your company as well as a valued contractor for my association. It is due to his abilities to tackle any issue that I have been recommending GPF to all my residents. David is always available to take my calls or texts regarding emergencies and his willingness to help his clients is well appreciated.

We had a hot water fail and start leaking recently on a Friday evening. David C explained over the phone how to drain the tank so we wouldn’t have 50 gal of water flooding our basement. He visited the next day, called people about the warranty, determined it was still under warranty, called plumbing supply shops, organized a crew, and got a new water heater in on Monday. We’re very grateful for his prompt efforts.

Called at approximately 9 pm on a Saturday night after Best Buy team of installers broke my old and new Nest thermostat wiring and Hvac/heating fuse earlier that day. They left the premises leaving my family without heat throughout the day and on this chilly night. Called many other companies throughout the day and was unsuccessful in getting someone to come out in such short notice. After calling this company, David Coleman showed up at my door within 20 minutes. I took this very professional gentleman away from his family and kids as he patiently fixed the damages left by the Best Buy team. His prices were very reasonable and didn’t make a way to overcharge me like some other companies or just charge a ridiculous service charge and leave without fixing the issues. Instead he patiently troubleshooted the issues and allowed my family to rest with working heat tonight. Bravo!

Gary P. Frank is by far the best HVAC company you will find. Our geothermal system broke down in the middle of a heat wave and they were out same day. We had the absolute pleasure of having Nick come out to take care of our emergency, and that is by far the best thing that could of happened. When it was discovered that a special part would need to be ordered, he gave me his personal line and keep me up to date on the status. He was on top of everything and even went out of his way to make sure they could overnight the part to get us up and running as fast as possible. Nick was EXTREMELY professional and very knowledgeable with all the in and outs of the system. We were even thinking of upgrading our system in the near future and he even took the time at the end of the repair to give us all the spec's and features of what the newer systems have to offer (sold us!). We will be staying with Gary P. Frank for all our HVAC for years to come and you should too!

We used Jeff Dickerson at Gary P. Frank for service on our Generac generator. Jeff was persistent, responsive and thorough in diagnosing a problem with a key part on our generator which caused it to not bring the power to the house even though the generator was running. He had a wonderful attitude and was very thorough in going through potential fixes one by one and finally getting to a latent problem which he was able to identify and resolve. He did a great job.
