This electrician is a scam. Started my basement project a year ago, failed to show up in 4-5 inspections from county, each time he got an excuse, like flat tire, family issue, etc. Could not even make him onsite once for inspection, eventually I had to go to the county permit and inspection department to cancel the permit. FOR THE GOD SAKE, DO NOT HIRE

Bruno and Brett were awesome! They replaced my parents water heater. They also found several leaks in the basement. They were very thorough, personable, and patient. Would highly recommend them. They followed through from beginning to end.

Completely unprofessional. They are a contractor for my home warranty company. They were assigned my case because another plumber did not complete the repairs. Before even reviewing the situation and trying to understand the problem they flat out said there is no money in this for them and are refusing this assignment. I didn’t know the contract with the warranty company allowed you to pick and choose your assignments based on ease.

In response to the comments made by Douglas and Sons: the person I spoke to on the phone to set up the appointment and to whom I explained the situation was anything but professional or empathetic. Her demeanor and total lack of empathy is what prompted me to post this review. As I am sure not everyone in the company is this way, unfortunately she was my one and only experience working with your company and therefore I have no choice but to base my review as such. As you said below, if you take pride in all your staff members, as any good business owner should, then it must mean you condone this type of representation which then reflects upon your company as a whole. I had one visit from the other plumber and during that visit he took out the sump pump, which you know very well is not a very complicated piece of plumbing equipment. The other issues were diagnosed and of minor concerns and left untouched. The claim was already approved for completion which I had explained to your representative but before I could go any further she abruptly told me the there was no money in it for them and she didn’t want to get in the middle of anything she will have a difficult time with. At time I was so dismayed by her comments I did hang up on her, which in hind site I should have just stayed on to ask to speak with you instead. Needless to say, this was a disappointing experience.

Chris Cale did an excellent job un-installing a 27 year old dishwasher. Everything neat and tidy to be hauled away. This is my second time in 2020 using Douglas & Son services. First time, removed 27 year old tub faucet and install new.

Charles came out quickly to clear a main line backup. He did a super thorough job which entailed lots of work I will always use them going forward. Highly recommended.

I purchased Choice Home Warranty several months ago. A few weeks ago I noticed that the sink in our secondary kitchen has clogged. I called Choice Home Warranty and they dispatched Douglas and Son to come to my home and inspect the problem. The technician arrived on time and was very nice and professional. He ran a snake through the line and fixed line stoppage. Then he discovered a leak from the garbage disposal. His assessment was that the leak was associated withe rusted ring on the upper side of the garbage disposal. I didn't understand that because with no water running through the disposal there should be no leak. In an y case, he associated that with the line being improperly installed. We have lived in this house for 7 years and never had any problem with that sink until now that he linked the leak problem to improperly installed line. In any case, he called Choice Home Warranty and shared his assessment of the cause of the problem with them and of course they used this incorrect assessment to deny replacing my garbage disposal. He said he would fix replace it if I paid $450 out of pocket. Then I called Douglas and Son office and a lady who picked up the phone was so rude with me and kept talking and never allowed me to speak. She got mad and hung up the phone on me. I will never do business with such rude and unprofessional people. The technician himself was very nice but this lady who answers the phone and handles their business needs some people's skills and manner. It is sad!

My plumber Mike was terrific! He was courteous, professional and highly knowledgeable. He explained in detail what he was doing to find clogged drain source and expertly repaired my clogged sink drain. Mike was efficient and addressed all my drain concerns with care and expertise. Highly recommend him to take care of
any plumbing issues and.problems..

We had a troubling experience with Douglas and Son regarding our hot water heater. The plumber claimed that its location in a closed area in the garage with a vented door was a code violation, advising us to cut a hole into our common area for ventilation. This advice was not only misleading but also contradicted county codes that aren't related to plumbing.

After consulting an acquaintance who is a Siemens HVAC instructor, a plumber from F.H. Furr, and reviewing the county code, it was clear that the plumber's claim was baseless and that our setup posed no risk. We did, however, discover an actual code violation: the absence of a drip pan, a detail starkly different and missing from the plumber's incorrect ventilation claim.

Additionally, the plumber's refusal to start the hot water heater's pilot light due to a non-existent carbon monoxide risk of a car being started in the garage was fictional and unprofessional. It seemed like an attempt to exploit my fiancé's limited knowledge, which is concerning and unethical.

This experience showed a lack of integrity and professionalism at Douglas and Son. We hope this review helps others in making informed choices for plumbing services.

Please stay away! This is the WORST and SCAM contractor/company I have ever dealt with in my life. They came and inspect my HVAC via Homeserve. Homeserve should Terminate this Scam company ASAP.

Instead of helping me to solve the problem, they tried to point finger to other non-sense problems i.e. Nest thermostat and then they said they wont repair hvac because the thermostat. But the Nest thermostat they pointed to are non-sense because the thermostat has been working wonderful. I am the homeowner and i knew the Nest thermostat has been working good with no problem. In short, they avoided the work and charged insurance money ILLEGALLY easily by point finger to my thermostat. Just that simple. This company is a totally a SCAM. They will suck your time, energy, and money the moment they come to your door. Please avoid these guys at all cost. WORST!!!!

Douglas and Sons did a super job. The technician, Kyle was courteous, professional, on time and communicated well what was being done. My first need was repair of a continuous water heater, I had never installed my Aquasana Water Treatment System. Kyle overcame close quarters and managed to install the new systems. The whole experience with Douglas and Sons was good - easy scheduling and I love their automated texts on scheduling, dispatch and arrival times including a map - so UBER. Good job Douglas and Sons
