My heating system stopped working and I called a few companies to see when they would be able to come out to assess the issue Douglas and Son responded right away. They came out the same day and were able to fix my system and I had heat within hours of my system going out. They were very thorough checking everything and explaining the issue. They were also reasonably priced and it did not cost me a fortune. Great company and great service. Would highly recommend. I will be using their services again for all of my heating/air and plumbing needs.

Water heater leaked. 1.5 hour service call confirmed my water heater leaked. That consultation (!) - plus a high estimate to replace… cost me $450 for the service call. It was an easy decision - I replaced the water heater, using a different plumber.

I had the pleasure of having Max and Drew come to my house to fix a plumbing issue with my kitchen sink. I was unsure what the problem was, where the leak was coming from, and actually thought there were several issues. However, they took their time to ensure they found where the problem was, which I appreciate instead of them, trying to over-bill me! They took several pictures and made sure to show me the work they had completed.
Max and Drew also made sure to ask me about other appliances in my home, which was helpful because I definitely didn’t know that my tankless heater needed to be descaled! They were both super friendly and respectful, and I am definitely a customer for life because of these two; see you all soon for my descaling!

We were having some issues with our plumbing and drainage. Our technician Josh was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He was able to address all our immediate concerns for a reasonable cost and got us on a maintenance plan to stay ahead of future problems. I would highly recommend them for any of your plumbing needs!

Max and Flynn were very efficient and pleasant to work with. They came out on Christmas Eve to fix our toilet and even did a courtesy service when our home warranty did not want to cover the fix. I would highly recommend their services and will contract them for any of our future needs.

I had a backed up kitchen sink. I called for service through Home Serve and they assigned Douglas and Sons. They were fast to respond and scheduled an appointment quickly. They even came earlier which I appreciated. This was all during snow and bad weather. Did a great job, thank you, would definitely use again.

I highly recommend Douglas And Son Services. They were punctural and very professional.They did excellent work. The technicians were very nice.

Max replaced our broken garbage disposal quickly and made sure there were no leaks by running the dishwasher and the sink faucet couple of times.
He was courteous and did a clean job, he even put back all the items back in the cabinet as they were before which was nice of him.

My experience started out well. Lois was very professional and courteous and scheduled my appointment promptly. The tech who came out could only do a partial repair as I was required to do addition pre work and provide photo evidence that the pre work was done or pay them a minimum of $300 to do said work. Then things turned sour when I had to deal with Shawn twice over the phone. He was rude, yelling at me, and downright unprofessional. I ended up calling HomeServe to ask for a different company to complete the work. HomeServe apologized and I have a different company coming to complete the work. I would never use this company again and could not recommend them based on Shawn's behavior, outweighing my positive encounter with Lori and the initial tech who did the partial repair.

Technician was professional and knowledgeable. Did a fantastic job changing out my shower diverter.

Our plumbers are all licensed too so there is no "inexperienced" plumber who said they would "pay" for any damages. Finally if you did have damages caused by our company you would have taken legal action. This makes no sense. Do you have the correct company even? She can’t gaslight me!!!

Douglas and Sons sent out a plumber that caused a massive leak in my parents home. They called the plumber to take care of a clogged pipe before it became an issue.

The plumber snaked into and through the wax ring of a toilet causing the massive leak. Mind you, this was not the area of the problem, it was further down the drain line. The plumber then flushed a bunch of water down the drain not realizing the damage he had just caused. He had flooded the floor and therefore also the area under it(the kitchen). There were gallons of water that have saturated the ceiling and the light fixture making this area unsafe.

The owner of the company had come not to fix the problem but to take pictures and walk away, with the false intention of fixing the issue. He did not have any plans to fix the clog which still remains or even try to address who will fix or pay for the damages caused by his own employee. I have witnessed this all happen and I personally will never use this company after seeing this. I suggest you not use them either.

I can’t believe that someone could come in and cause thousands of dollars of damage and then the owner says nope this isn’t our problem and walk away.

Just imagine if this was your home and they destroyed it and then said oh we didn’t cause any damage and walked away with no sweat off their back and left you with a damaged home that they had caused.

I write this review to say don’t use Douglas and Sons because the way this situation was handled by the owner.

Please, do not use this company!

Horrible experience. The plumber came and diagnosed an expensive repair need. (1000+). He asked for a one-third deposit but charged the credit card for the full amount although he couldn’t do the repairs that day. He was supposed to come back the next day but didn’t. Douglas never followed up. When I called they claimed they were ordering parts. Then they said they needed pictures of our fixtures. Then they claimed they never received the pictures after we texted them. At that point we hadn’t been able to use our shower for a week and we’d had enough of the shenanigans from Douglas & Sons.

Charles and his crew came out to fix a pipe that broke and were very professional and courteous. We couldn’t have asked for a better plumbing service and plumbers. I would highly recommend Douglas and sons to anyone who needs their services.

The only thing homeserve did right during our sewage ordeal was sending Douglas and son plumbing to our house. All other plumbers homeserve sent were not helpful until it became urgent, at which time we got paired with Douglas and son.
From booking with the front office staff, to the quality, professionalism, and expertise of the plumbers sent, I would recommend Douglas and son to anyone I know. They prioritized our leak and rearranged the schedule to prioritize our repair when it became a 2-day dig. I highly recommend this company for small or major plumbing projects. Their business card is on our refrigerator for future work! Thank you guys for fixing our degraded leaking pipes!

Douglas and Sons is an honest company. We have dealt with a local company for 43 years, however Homeserve did not have them listed as a contractor. We used Douglas and Sons after researching three companies Homeserve gave us to use. The techs are professional, know what they are talking about and explain everything in detail. Shawn, Fred and Kevin were wonderful to work with. I highly recommend them for any plumbing services. I would give them 10 stars if I could!!

I have used Douglas and Sons both personally for my own homes and for clients during our real estate deals. They are very easy to work with and honest people. Their prices are fair and reasonable and I will continue to use them in the future.
