I called and they were able to come out immediately and install a new hot water heater. Customer service was great and efficient. Installation was quick and I was back to having hot water in hours.

The whole process with Carroll was so easy for our furnace and heat pump replacement in our new home. Chris and Eric came out to do the estimate, clearly explained all the options, answered all my questions, and came in with a better price than the other contractors.
Then Tony came in early and knocked it out in one day, making sure it was working 100% and explained how to operate everything.
The whole team including the front office was friendly, happy to answer questions, and made sure to explain everything.

I recently had to replace a thermostat on a cold weekend day and Carroll Mechanical was able to come out that same day. They (Josh) were efficient, professional and very personable. Not only did he replace the thermostat but they checked the entire HVAC system. A few weeks later, I called the office to inquire about the auxiliary heat running too often and Emily quickly set me up with a day and time to address this issue. Jordan came out to adjust the thermostat and also assisted me with an ecobee app problem. Again, very efficient, professional and personable. I have been searching for a HVAC company since the one that I previously used for 10+ years went out of business. I tried the guys with the jingles, but they tried to tell me I had problems that I knew did not exist, including needing 4 pounds of freon. I tried a local company that did nice work but charged extremely high prices for a $20 part that needed replacing on a routine maintenance check. I'm hoping that the 3rd time is a charm and that I've found my new service provider with Carroll Mechanical.

Carroll Mechanical delivered outstanding service from start to finish. I was able to get both a furnace and A/C at a great price, and they even secured a BGE rebate that other companies said wasn’t possible. Bryan, the owner, was pleasant to speak with and made sure everything was installed on time. Chris, the Comfort Advisor, was professional, knowledgeable, and explained everything clearly. Jessica, the Intake Coordinator, was responsive, friendly, and kept the process moving smoothly. I highly recommend Carroll Mechanical for anyone needing HVAC services.

The professionals at Carroll mechanical were here today to install my new Goodman HVAC system. They were here yesterday to initially diagnose why I was having short cycling on my 25-year-old system. After realizing how much the cost was for a new motor, they recommended that the system be replaced and I agreed. They came in when they said they were gonna be here, did an amazing job installing the new system and disposing of the old system. After everything was installed, Diego did a walk-through and showed me how to install the new app on my phone so that I could control the new system remotely. I am so thoroughly satisfied with their work and would absolutely recommend Carroll mechanical.

Antonio did and amazing job and Carroll Mechanical has a forever customer. I needed a new HVAC system and you all jumped right on it. The work was thorough and Tony and Al were transparent about everything. They took their time and gave me a detailed overview of the system and my new smart thermostat. I definitely have you all on speed dial for the future. I have heat again!!

Update on December 20, 2025:

I raise the rating from 1 star to 4 stars because Carroll Mechanical responded quickly and fixed the system on December 15. I waited for a few days to update the rating because I want to be sure that the heating system is functioning as usual. I particular want to thank the receptionist who took my phone call and quickly scheduled an appointment for us. Gil is wonderful to figure out the issue and make our house warm again.

Initial review on December 14, 2025:

Don't be fooled by the high rating of Carroll Mechanical, Inc. We hired this company to install electric heating system due to the aging heating oil system in April 2025. When the first wave of cold front hit in November, the new heating system went out for a week. Carroll Mechanical not only couldn't fix the blower motor fast enough and left the seniors and children in cold weather during Thanksgiving, they even tried to charge fees during the warranty. Additionally, they mentioned that this system required the installation of surge protector, which could have been included during the installation. The system was finally fixed on December 2nd. However, on December 14, the heating system couldn't handle the cold weather and stop running in the day with zero degree Fahrenheit. This time, our neighbor was nice enough to help us. If you are considering Carroll Mechanical, Inc., do your homework well and good luck. I seriously regretted that we hired them in the beginning.

It was a full-day job, so be prepared for that. But I had my entire old HVAC system removed and replaced with a brand new heat pump hybrid system that is so much better. And the price was great! Best of 3 options with the best brand. Would definitely use again or recommend to others. And Diego was great. Explained everything when he was finished so that I knew how to use the system, and made sure I knew how to use the smart thermostat before he left.

The technician was very friendly and very competent. He did thorough diagnostics, showed me the test results, isolated the problem, and repaired my heat pump during a single visit. The price also seemed very reasonable. This was after a different company had done a quick diagnostic and told me I needed to replace the entire HVAC system, so Carroll Mechanical also saved me a lot of money and hassle. They earned my trust as a company that is fair and honest, and they will be my go-to choice in the future.

It’s always frustrating when you encounter unexpected problems with your furnace, especially during a cold snap.
But that’s what happened to us this February. I did some research and selected Carroll Mechanical. I am very happy with my choice and have absolutely no regrets.
I called on a Sunday and they came out first thing Monday morning and gave me their diagnosis and time line to get the new part and get it installed.
Part came in as scheduled and the technician M. Alaka quickly, promptly and professionally installed the required parts.
M. Alaka was very knowledgeable and also shared some valuable pro tips to help us run our system more efficiently.
You can fell confident that Carroll Mechanical is a professional and trustworthy company that employs top notch and honest technicians like M.Alaka.

We had a great experience with Carroll Mechanical. Chris did a great job of walking us through our options for a new HVAC system and was always happy to answer additional questions as they came up. Diego did a great job with installation; he was courteous and professional, and I appreciated the time he took to go over the work he did and to explain our new system. On top of everything, we got a great price and prompt installation.

When my heat pump compressor blew during a cold snap, my former HVAC contractor wanted to charge over $6000 for labor to install the warranty replacement, told me it would take two weeks to get the part, and tried to upsell me to a new system (current one is only 7 years old) with an estimated $19,000 to $30,000 replacement cost (for a system that was $8000 new).

I contacted Carroll Mechanical based on positive Nextdoor reviews. They were able to install a new warranty covered compressor the next day for a little over $2000 in labor costs. They also said I didn't need a new system, but that, if I did want to replace it, it would run around $8000 for a comparable system.

The tech who came out, Josh, was great. He was knowledgeable, efficient, courteous and informative. Very respectful of the house and property. He worked for hours in freezing temperatures without a word of complaint, and made sure everything was up and running before he left.

I have switched my annual maintenance contract to Carroll Mechanical, it was less expensive than my prior contract and covers more.

Extremely satisfied with the service, would strongly recommend.

Look no further! My HVAC set up was super complicated and had very little room to work with. The Manager made sure the work was done correctly, sent his best techs, and personally came in to check the job and provided multiple option on how to proceed. I am extremely happy with the quality of work from this company. Very dedicated team!

I rarely take the time to leave reviews, but the service I received from Carroll Mechanical was so great that i had to leave one. Despite the recent snowstorm here in Maryland, their response and scheduling times were really quick.

A huge shoutout to my service technician, Danny Barahona. Danny was prompt and arrived exactly when he said he would. He was extremely knowledgeable and checked everything to identify the actual root cause of my furnace issue rather than just offering a quick or overly expensive fix. He even provided great maintenance guidance to help me avoid future problems. It’s rare to find such high-quality, professional service especially in the middle of such terrible road conditions.
