Royal Cleaning removed weather proofing from my windows without my consent and damaged the windows in the process. The cleaning crew left my house without telling me of the damage. I sent pictures of the damage to the owner, Victor Calderon, and he said that the cleaning crew did damage my windows but it is "not their fault". I asked to have the damage repaired and the weather proofing reinstalled. I have received no response.

NEVER USE THEM! I had the worst experience. Once they left, I noticed that my toilet handle was put on backwards and broken, because of this, my toilet no longer flushes. I was told when I called that there was nothing they could do because I signed off on the cleaning when the staff was done, but I signed off on a walk through because I never thought I had to check my toilet handle! Terrible experience, I would never recommend. Not only did they refuse to assist me when I contacted them several times via email and phone, but they blamed the broken toilet and toilet handle on me, and accused me of lying. I am in the middle of refuting the charges with my bank.

I love having Merry Maids come & clean my home. They allow me to actually have time to enjoy my family rather than spend my spare time cleaning. And with 3 boys in the house, it is needed & they do a great job#

RUN!!! The maid never showed up after saying she could not find the apartment, although the access door to building was visibly open and movers were visible and looking out for her for hours. My credit card was charged twice and rather than refunding my funds, the manager “said” she voided the transactions which still have not credited back to my account. Like the other disappointed reviewer, I doubt the other reviews are real. This company appears to dabble in some questionable credit card practices. Management has no interest in customer service. Keep looking for a more reputable company. I’ll be having someone look into this dismal business’ business practices.

Im so glad I called Merry Maids(MM)! They were able to accommodate a last minute request. They were awesome, help me organize a new move and did an outstanding job. I will be using MM in the future! Thank you!!

The ladies arrived on time and immediately began cleaning in the order instructed. I watched them work. It seemed effortless, and boy, once finished, my house looked amazingly clean.

I did not get very good service from them. They clean things right, but I was not warned beforehand they would not clean the walls. This was a disappointment since I was counting on them cleaning the walls.

Then, they also refused to clean the balcony, that only needed a quick wash, pretexting that for some reason they could not or were not able to put water on the balcony to clean it (??). At that point, the language was clearly an issue as well for a good understanding between the maids and myself.

I was overall disappointed and felt I was not provided a service that met my expectations for the hefty amount I paid. I will go to their competitors next time.

It was is an empty new house with no furnitures whatsoever, pretty clean too except some dust and diets in certain places, and that’s what we wanted to be taken care of. All we asked and were promised was a detailed cleaning. The cleaners did a horrible job (better to say did nothing) as there’s so much dust and dirt on corners, edges interior window framings (not glass), window screens, kitchen cabinets, vents, powder room was not touched at all, showers had dirt on handles, corners, bedroom closets were unvisited. They have one job - cleaning - and they completely failed at it. $325 was a complete waste in our part and we demand half of what we paid to be refunded. We believe we shouldn’t pay at all but since they came and spent some time doing superficial work, half of what was charged would only be fair. We read a lot of some great reviews from past customers and that was what misled us into hiring Merry Maids, but now we highly doubt those reviews are genuine. We want our money back.

They were very polite, on time and quick! They cleaned my 3 bdr apt so fast & house smelled amazing.
I did have 2nd thoughts in the beginning, but working 60 hrs a week for the past 8 months I was exhausted & decided to take a chance and so glad I did!!!

Maria and her various coworkers have been cleaning my house for 2 years. During that time Maria has always proved to be on time, diligent, consistent, very quiet, and pleasant. She always thinks to ask if we have guests in the basement in case our grand baby or other visitors are sleeping. I'm always so pleased to see how clean the house looks once Merry Maids has worked their magic.

The team that comes routinely can change but the timeliness, effort and quality are the same, as are professionalism, friendliness and quality! Highly recommend!

But to Merry Maids Marketing, I don't appreciate your hounding me every two weeks with multiple emails to rate their performance. Accept this as a permanent rating of 5 and apply it to Maria's and Karla's personnel files and please stop sending me biweekly and followup emails.

Every other week I either come home to a beautifully cleaned house or friendly hellos from Sarai and Rina as they are busy making it clean. If I need to make an adjustment to which rooms I need cleaned, it's given a no problem and it happens. I have worked with them for over a year and I hope to continue with my team for as long as they stay with Merry Maids. 👍

We've been using Merry Maids Gaithersburg for the past 2 years. I always appreciate the little touches or additional things that the team takes care of for me without me asking -- like cleaning the microwave, or emptying the small waste baskets in rooms that we don't have included as part of our service. From the initial quote to scheduling and final walkthrough, the entire process was smooth and professional. The team arrived on time, communicated kindly, and maintained a respectful and positive attitude throughout the visit.

I scheduled a deep cleaning for the master bedroom, two full bathrooms, office, kitchen, living room, entryway, hallway, and a small laundry area. The attention to detail was impressive. The master bedroom was cleaned thoroughly, including trim and doors, and the overall air quality in the home noticeably improved. The bathrooms — which see the most use and had buildup I was concerned about — were restored beautifully.

I only needed to request one minor adjustment, which was handled immediately and without hesitation. That responsiveness, combined with the overall effort put into the home, made a strong impression.

What truly sets this company apart is leadership involvement. A supervisor personally came to introduce herself, review the work, and ensure I was satisfied. That level of care and quality assurance is rare.

I’ve worked with multiple cleaning companies in the past and have never been this satisfied. I currently have a biweekly contract and am strongly considering moving to weekly service based on this experience. I look forward to continuing to work with this team and hope this standard of excellence remains consistent.

Have had Merry Maids for about a year. They have conscientious, thorough cleaning service folks who do an excellent job. Always happy with results. Each crew has a person who reads and speaks English, making it easy for me to identify where I need specific cleaning focus in the house. Merry Maids screens and hires its own workers, pays benefits, and has long-term employees. Any new team or worker, before they leave your house, gets a walk-through by a professional from the company to make sure job was done right. Well worth the price to get consistent results from each cleaning team, and to have my own peace of mind that companies who employ these folks are treating them fairly.

I moved out of a large house in Gaithersburg, MD and wanted it to be cleaned before turning it over to the new owner. Merry Maids did a wonderful job. It was not an easy task, because the house was very dirty, and required a lot of work. I was very pleased with what Merry Maids accomplished. The crew arrive on schedule and finished on schedule. I highly recommend this company. They know what they are doing.
