They will keep trying till we find the problem! I had a leak from my roof and we couldn’t find the problem. So Petra came out and replaced my roof for me! Great at communicating and great with clean up! 10/10 would recommend.

Petra was contracted by our homeowners insurance to repair storm damage. They were excellent from the first contact until the final repairs were complete. Matt Groves was the Project Manager. He coordinated several contractors very well and was a pleasure to work with. Every contractor (paint, roofing, metal work and weather stripping was very polite and professional. Each was a skilled craftsman. I couldn't be happier with Petra and the services provided to repair the storm damage to my garage.

Dave Hamilton with Petra Contactors did an incredible job with rebuilding our home after we had a fire two years ago. It was an extensive project that needed the house almost entirely gutted and was complex due to the age of the home, but Dave did a great job with the property.

Our experience with Matt, Dan, and the Petra Team was exceptional. We had storm related damage and were referred by a work colleague. The back and forth with the insurance company was a nuisance but once we reached an agreement, their team laid out a precise timeline and plan for execution. They finished under budget and ahead of schedule. Would definitely utilize their services again on the future.

Did a great job on the repairs due to a wind storm, including repairing/replacing a roof, and then coordinating removal of a tree that fell, and repair of some irrigation piping. Also successfully pushed back on the insurance company whom only wanted to spot repair the roof. Ended up getting a full replacement of the roof after Petra attempted the repairs, thanks to Petra's coordination with insurance that the repair wasn't going to be sufficient and providing data/pictures showing that. Only item of note is communication once work started was limited and sometimes short notice, and I generally had to ask for status rather than the other way around. The estimate and payment parts of the process were quick and concise.

We had a flood in the kitchen from the dishwasher and started off with one company that had done mold and water remediation for us a few years ago and so we hired them again this time. However, I wasn’t happy with them this time and when it came time to reconstruct the kitchen, USAA, our insurance company, recommended Petra. I believe they are on a list that USAA has. Let me just tell you, I’ve been so happy with Petra! I wish I had used them for the mold and water remediation, as well. Our project manager was Matt. I was very anxious when I first met him and I know I must’ve sounded crazy because before he even said anything, I was telling him everything I did and didn’t want for the kitchen, but Matt was so gracious and patient with me, not just that day, but throughout the entire time that it took to get the kitchen back to normal. He is probably one of the most patient and kind contractors I’ve ever had. It was a pleasure working with him. The work he did for us was to reconstruct one whole side of the kitchen where the dishwasher had been so his crew had to put up new drywall, order and put up new cabinets, put up a new backsplash, install a whole new floor, and paint all of the cabinets (new and old) and the walls. The crews that he had in for this work were extremely professional, and they really knew what they were doing. I just cannot say enough about everyone that came in to do the work and also Matt himself. Oh, and also the office lady was so nice! Just very pleasant, patient and nice. The kitchen now looks absolutely fantastic! Way better than it has ever been, and I am so pleased with it. This was actually my dad‘s house and my mother is still living there as an invalid. My dad passed away last July and I know he would be so happy with the kitchen if he could see it. Thank you, Petra! Oh, and by the way, they worked with our insurance so seamlessly!

I worked with Petra twice.
First, my hot water heater flooded my home. The second time, my neighbor’s home flooded through my home.

Both times I had the pleasure of working with Mark (Project Manager) and his teams. They were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!

Mark was extremely professional and knowledgeable. He stepped in with solutions to problems, answers to my questions and available whenever I needed him (even on vacation).

The teams were always on time, extremely personable, very detailed and were able to make my house the home it was before the damages.

The Petra team took extreme care of our home. We had a home insurance claim from a pipe leak where the living room ceiling had fallen through. And everything looks perfect as though it never happened. They also took time to spackle and sand other damage areas in the dining room. they handled our belongings with care while they moved everything. We tried to move some things, but didn’t realize how much they were going to do and they did wonderful with it all. Thank you, Petra..

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, the quality of service provided by the gentleman completing work inside of my home. Multiple projects had to be done after experiecing water damage in our basement due to a burst frozen pipe. Work performed from Petra's crews ranged from water remediation, insulation in our ceiling, wall repair, painting and carpet installation. In my opinion, the working crews went above and beyond the scope of work that was required, and with their exceptionally thorough Project Manager, Mr. Kevin, I have absolutely no complaints! My husband and I will definitely be booking work with Petra for our future home improvement projects because of the team's diligence, care, and professionalism! I rate 5 stars, and recommend their services to everyone!

What a pleasure doing business with Petra! We had a major house flood, which damaged one bathroom, most of the kitchen and all of the basement. Petra was one of the contractors our insurance adjuster recommended. While other contractors wanted to wait until everything was remediated, Dan Kreis from Petra came out to see what we would be needing. He was great. Moreover, our insurance adjuster clearly trusted him, which is critical to a successful recovery. Even though I met with two other contractors, neither were as engaged or thoughtful as Dan. Petra also handled all the claim paperwork with our mortgage company, which also made things easier for us. When we finally got to start rebuilding, Matt Groves was our project manager. He too was engaged and thoughtful. Moreover, all the trades from Ted the carpenter to the drywall/painters, plumber, and Jason the electrician were knowledgeable, worked neatly, and were very professional. Petra hooked me up with Todd from TB Quality Floors, who really helped us, because we could not make up our minds about how to move forward with new flooring. My father was a master carpenter, so I grew up around trades. I know competence when I see it. Petra has it, in abundance. I highly recommend the company.

I have been using Petra contractors over 20 years. In 2010 I had a fire at my home which Petra contractirs had done the complete renovations to our home. They did an excellent job. I have use them each and everytime I needed work done at my home. The owner and staff are top notch professionals. Now here it is 2026 and I had my kitchen remodel and again they did a excellent job. Thank you to Matt, Dan and the worker who did the work in my home. They all were professional and they never left a mess the made sure everything was cleaned up before they left for the day.

The sales experience was good. The person we talked too thought he knew everything! Had storm doors installed. I was not home. The doors never closed properly. We had to lift and pull to close. About six months later it was coming off at the hinge. Before they installed, I asked them to replace the existing frame. I was willing to pay extra if I had too. I was told the frame was fine and didn't need to be replaced. So now we have to lift and pull. And if your a visitor, you can forget it. Too difficult. I know Loews, and Home Depot, and other stores are all similar, but my Home Depot Days are over. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Il. Never go back. Loews is actually closer.
