They did my Roof is soft in some areas and missing shingles. Ridge caps loose and No End plugs on Ridge vent and nail heads are exposed a really really poor job, a few months after I have someone check the roof for me and what he told me I have to go up there and see for myself. Wanted to give a HUGE shout out to ALL involved in the recent addition of our full bathroom on the first floor of our old home. EVERYONE was amazing., accommodating and professional. They had wonderful ideas and suggestions which we implemented into the project.

I contacted Petra after finding a water leak. Petra immediately came out and discovered the shower stall was leaking. Long story short, the damage was much more extensive then what I had initially thought. The whole bathroom had to be redone along with repairing damage to the finished basement below it. Thankfully, Petra was able to handle everything from start to finish including dealing with the insurance company.

We used Petra to repair damage from clogged plumbing in the basement. The drywall repairs, painting, carpet install and door installs were completed flawlessly. Everything looks as it did before the water damage.

Petra Contractors:
We have used Petra Contractors for over 15 years. We first learned of the company when our insurance company recommended them for wind damage repair which the insurance company was going to cover. Petra has replaced damaged shutters, sidling, all exteriors' doors and frames, replaced French door which required cutting into the house (door was larger than the original one). They have painted the outside of the house twice. Outside lights were also replaced. Most recently (November 2023) replaced the entry door. The door ended up being custom made with sidelight s with glass. The door is beautiful. So many have stopped by and commented on the door. Not only has all of the work been excellent, but it has also been monticules. The door insulation was outstanding. The inside of the house wall also had to be re-painted, and molding replaced. This is the only contractor we have used. We’re thinking of having a four-season room addition put on within the next two years. Please consider using this company.

They came to our house the day after we called to assess the damage, sent us a contract the following day and we had a signed contract by the end of that week. And they continued that customer service throughout the entire job. I felt so comfortable with the decisions they helped me make and it was always in my best interest. They worked with our insurance company on the insurance logistics, hired the sub contractors and helped us remodel our entire home. Some of the work done was not even in their scope, but they still helped with the scheduling. From the electrician to the plumber to the drywall and beyond, I could not have been more pleased with the outcome. My house looks amazing. Thanks so much Brad for always being there for me in this very difficult time in our lives. Displacing an entire family is stressful enough and you made the process of rebuilding a pleasure!! I had a roof problem and my house flooded back in November. By the time it came to hiring a contractor to do the mitigation and remodeling, I was already fed up with dealing with the insurance company. A friend recommended Petra and I’m glad they did. My project manager Brad was very responsive...any time I called him he picked up, and he kept me informed every step of the way. House turned out great, thanks to Petra. If you have an insurance claim and you need a good remodeling or mitigation company, these guys will get you straightened out.

Petra told my insurance company water damage was mitigated properly when it wasn’t. Copious amounts of mold were found behind my drywall due to water damage from my claim not being mitigated properly. Petra wanted to paint over the moldy walls and not remove them. Petra insisted that the water damage was mitigated properly and no additional work was needed. It was extremely stressful getting a fair settlement due to Petra giving a wrong recommendation to my insurance company. I feel their estimators are either incompetent or dishonest.

I had insisted to Petra that I needed a 2 ft flood cut. Petra was hard on not needing to remove the extra drywall which made it extremely difficult to prove it needed to be removed.

Below are the pictures of the mold Petra wanted to paint over. I feel if I had went with Petra’s quote that the mold would have continued to grow and could have ruined my house.

Keep in mind most insurance contracts only cover $10-15k in mold remediation. If I didn’t fight to readjust for a fair settlement, this mold caused by water damage could have taken over my house and I wouldn’t have been covered anymore than an insignificant amount to get it fixed .

I would highly recommend Petra Contractors Inc. We have used them a couple times and very pleased with their work both times. This most recent time, our home gym had water damage. It was a complicated repair due to needing to remove our gym equipment. They found a company that could take apart our circuit gym and our smith machine and take it somewhere for storage until the walls and wall of mirrors were replaced. They selected a quality painter, carpet layer, dry wall, and installer of a new wall of mirrors. It was alot of coordination on their part. They treated our home like it was theirs. Every person that worked on our project was top notch and our gym looks better than new. Highly recommend them.
