I can’t say enough good things about the service I received from ARS! On Super Bowl Sunday, when most people were celebrating and businesses were closed, Josh came out to help us with a system repair — and he did an absolutely fantastic job.
From the moment he arrived, Josh was professional, courteous, and truly committed to providing excellent customer service. He took the time to explain the issue clearly, worked efficiently, and made sure everything was functioning perfectly before he left. It’s rare to come across someone who goes above and beyond like that, especially on a holiday!
Thank you, ARS, and a special shout-out to Josh for exceptional service and dedication. Highly recommended! -
AOSmith water heater with 12 year warranty failed and began leaking 5 years and 1 month after purchase! Contacted AOSmith, sent me to Lowe’s for replacement. Exact model replacement cost me addl $90.. plus I had to use ARS rescue rooter for installation. That cost me additional $2,090 !!!
It would have been cheaper to walk in off the street, buy the new water heater for about $900 and pay about $500 for a local plumber to install. Boy, did they take me for a ride or what? -
Was contacted about a heating system tune up special. Was able to get an appointment the same day. William showed up on time and was very friendly and professional. Walked me through the process as he was working on my heat pump system. Gave me advice on additional maintenance items my system would need within the next year. Overall I was very pleased with the quality of service I received. Would definitely use them again.

Called ARS for yearly checkup of systems and more recently when the heat pump was acting funny due to cold weather. Technician came same day and was very knowledgeable friendly, and courteous. Had a great experience from scheduling a same day service call to the technician leaving. Highly recommend and will definitely call for future needs.

We had a new water heater replaced by ARS and it was incredibly transparent and efficient from the initial quote to the installation. Very happy with this choice! (Old and new photos for comparison)

Excellent services I received for the installation of a new HVAC system. All of the technicians assigned to install the system were very knowledgeable and professional. During this time with that snow storm and ice they were able to handle getting all of the HVAC equipment without any injuries to their selves. That was amazing! Thank You for a job well done!

Update 9/23/25.
After calling on a weekly basis, we had the part arrive and an appointment scheduled to install the panel damaged by their technician. The wrong part was ordered and the wait has continued. To timeline to receive the correct part.
I believe 2.5 stars would be more appropriate but considering that I am still waiting for a resolution weeks after, I went with 2. We were quoted an agreeable price that was a couple thousand dollars cheaper than their competitors and have 2 mini splits installed very soon after. May 16 was the install date. During the install we had drywall damage that was repaired by a contractor very quickly through ARS but the same technician that damaged our drywall also put a hole in our unit. The technicians that were working upstairs were very confused as to why this was done and quickly assured us that they could have a panel ordered and the repair would be done asap. I had spoken with our sales person when working out details about the dry wall work and confirmed that they will get this taken care of. I have called ARS numerous of times now while creating a new “ticket” every time that has been escalated to management. Still have not received a call back. Still have not had our units repaired. My wife and me have been very patient and understand. I get that mistakes happen and that parts need to be ordered but 10 weeks and no communication throughout this process is ridiculous. My biggest regret is not spending more and going with the competition so we could have avoided this fiasco.
Will give an update if I ever speak with a technician. Hopefully ars will cover the cost of our pest control from the hole in our unit and the creepy crawlers coming in -
The service was fine. However, I purchased a warranty in April 2023 that has expired and ARS has taken $10 for 17 additional months after warranty expiration and refuse to refund my $170 that they confirmed is owed back to me. I have been trying to get my money since summer of 2024. I have recently reached back out to them in January 2026. It has been 36 days since and each call they keep saying they are working on it. I have contacted the BBB because when the warranty expired they should have stopped taking my money. Tammy and Virginia in the Quality Assurance Department is aware of this issue. How many other customers has this happened too. Sabrina Rasheed (Tony) 3/5/26

3/7/26 - Very pleased today with ARS Technician: Mr. Zechariah Abney who came to do my HVAC Seasonal Heat Check. First of all he was friendly, pleasant and prepared (had all necessary tools including the pressure gauges) He took pictures of the issues of concerns he found and shared them with me. He then made recommendations for the necessary repair. I leave this post with pleasure because Mr. Abney is an exceptional young man with awesome customer service skills. I'm requesting that Mr. Abney perform all HVAC services at my home. Thank you.

I wanted to rate this company lower than a zero. The technicians were disrespectful to my residence. The company kept making appointments to show without a reason. The quality of work was despicable. I complained to my landlord about this company.
I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau about their poorly installed system not being checked for causing water damage or mold. Their technician using my dining room table as his personal workbench. Technicians spending hours at my residence not knowing how to troubleshoot or fix a system they installed. Then the company would schedule appointments and not show up. -
I called customer service about an issue with the air in our three‑level home. The CSR clearly quoted a $69 service call fee. When the technician arrived, he claimed the fee was $119 and then requested an additional $200 to fix the issue. I explained that we have a 5‑year labor warranty. Only after checking again did he realize that their system had incorrectly shown 3 years, even though our system was installed just over two years ago. He agreed to waive the $200 fee but still insisted on the $119 fee, which did not align with what I was told.
The technician also arrived without calling ahead. When my wife asked him to give her five minutes to reach me, he said he didn’t have time to wait.
Later, when I spoke with a CSR representative, she dismissed our written contract, stating that the person who sold it to us no longer worked there. That made no sense because I am dealing with ARS as a company, not an individual. She then hung up on me while I was asking questions.
In the end, I paid the $69 service fee, which I was comfortable with, but the overall experience lacked alignment, professionalism, and basic customer care. It’s clear why their rating is where it is. -
On August 25,2025, Chuck and his co-worker(Will I believe is his name who is 64 yrs old) came to my townhome to install brand new central unit and gas furnace, because the house it came with is the original from 2006 😆. Below, you see how old and rusty Goodman brand from 2006.
ARS really took their time and made sure everything was installed properly and accurately. I enjoyed watching them until the end. I don’t mind welcoming ARS Rescue Rooter with same people. Thanks 🙏🏽 to you guys! -
The job was done professionally and efficiently. Everything was explained thoroughly. I am overjoyed. Each step was a breeze. I especially appreciate Mr. Shuffle, my plumbing advisor, and the plumbers who did the installation. Thank you!!!

Had an ac tune up. Tech recommended the addition of surge protector. He was able to install same day. I had a fuse blow this winter so this was a great recommendation. Anteneh Temelsso kept me informed throughout the inspection about what her was doing and explained what I needed to do to maintain the system. My husband passed away last year and he always took care of these things. It's been a steep learning curve for everything this year and I really appreciated his help.

John from ARS/Rescue Rooter provided excellent service during my recent HVAC appointment. He was very professional, personable, and took the time to clearly explain everything he was doing while servicing my system. I really appreciated how patient and thorough he was in answering my questions and making sure I understood the condition of my HVAC unit.
One thing that stood out was his recommendation to install a surge protector for the system. After several previous service visits with other technicians, this was the first time anyone explained how a surge protector could help protect the HVAC system—particularly the motor—if there were a power surge or failure in the future. I found that information extremely helpful and appreciated the proactive suggestion to help extend the life of the system.
Overall, John delivered outstanding customer service and made the experience very positive. I would absolutely request him again for future service and highly recommend him to others. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ -
MY NIGHTMARE CONTINUES. It begin 1/5/2026 when we trusted ARS to install a new system (heat pump, airhandler and thermostat). THE SYSTEM STILL IS NOT WORKING. We have had multiple technicians to come out to service the system and each time they left, they told us the system was working and it wasn't. Since 1/5/26 we have had to purchase fire wood to burn in our fireplace just to stay warm. In addition we have purchased four different size electric heaters just to keep from freezing. I attached two pictures to help you better understand our circumstance. One picture shows the coil inside the air handler (inside unit) with ice built up. When the technician opened the panel we were both shocked, because the previous technician told us everything was working fine. The second picture shows the new nest thermostat set for 72 degrees and the system could not heat past 49 degrees.
We have been suffering since we got rid of our old system, which was working just fine.
Is it possible to get my old system back or a new system installed. -
I had a great experience with ARS of Laurel HVAC technicians from start to finish. The technicians, who installed my new HVAC system were professional, knowledgeable, and respectful of my home. They arrived on time, explained the installation process clearly and answered all of my questions without rushing.
The installation was completed efficiently and with great attention to detail. They made sure everything was working properly before leaving and took the time to walk me through the new system and a thermostat settings. I really appreciate their workmanship, cleanliness and customer focused approach. I would absolutely recommend ARS of Laurel to anyone looking for a reliable high-quality HVAC system. -
I discovered that my hot water heater failed Tuesday morning. I like the purchase and professional install options offered at the big box hardware stores. That narrowed things down to two stores and two brands of water heaters. I got three estimates, two in person estimators and one over the phone. I selected ARS based on the Estimator, Alex's, professionalism, thoroughly answering all of my questions, and project price, including a discount for Veteran's! But wait, there's more! The install team, Rodney and T.J. were phenomenal! They contacted me to let me know they were available and were arriving earlier than scheduled, a plus! Rodney explained the install procedure, including notifying WSSC for the inspection. The install was completed very timely. Rodney went over the operation of the unit, the warning light, the water alarm, and the expansion tank. He recommended annually flushing the unit. He installed a CO detector, something I did not have in my utility closet with a gas furnace and water heater! Not to forget, a three year parts and labor warranty from ARS. Overall, I am very pleased! Once the price is forgotten, the quality and customer service is remembered!

It doesn't matter when you arrive to unload, they can smile and lie to your face for over 30 hours, and soon we'll give you a place. If you have another load from this place, you'll be unloaded quickly. If not, they'll unload you for 30 hours. You leave your documents on the table, they look at which pallet has the fewest and unload it. It's a disgusting place, and the workers will smile to your face while mocking you.
