We called several places to get quotes for our attic insulation. Joe texted us to find out what issues we had and and discuss everything with us. He then came to look at our attic and provide us with an estimate. At first, everything went the same as everyone else who gave us estimates, but when he went into our attic, he didn't just look at the insulation, he looked at everything. No one else said anything about any other problems, but Joe found several issues. He found HVAC leaks that were causing us to lose energy and a roof leak that we didn't even know about. At first, I thought that he was just trying to sell us additional services that we didn't need, but he told me that he doesn't do HVAC or roofing work and suggested that we have someone else address those issues. We had a HVAC company come in and they saw what he found and fixed it, then a roofer fixed our other issue. While his price was about the same as our other quotes, the level of service that he provided was way above what the others provided. Joe said that if someone saw a problem with his house that he didn't know about, he would hope that someone told him so he treats his customers how he would want to be treated and does the same. Joe's Attic insulation gave me a great price on getting my attic area insulated. I then set a day and time for them to come and they arrived on time and were very professional. It was completed on time, and upon completion, they explained what they did and what to expect. I thanked them for their job and asked if they could also do some general repairs around the house. Since then, they have returned on numerous occasions to do some repairs around the house that I am too busy to do myself.
My neighbor recommended Joe and said he was cheap, but definitely not worth the hassle. Had him move my fridge across the room. He cut the pipe that connects to my hose outside. Still waiting for him to come fix the pipe 9 months later that he cut. He was also supposed to come back to move a light. I could have sworn i paid him for it already, but after making my initial online payment it won't show the itemized receipt, just the total. He said he didn't charge me for that, but wouldn't send me the receipt. Innocent until proven guilty I guess, but it would be nice if he was responsive and not ignoring my texts and calls.
