Homestead Gardens is a favorite resource for local gardeners. Gorgeous year round displays offer loads of ideas for sight, scent, sound, touch and taste in the garden. Friendly, knowledgeable personnel are always glad to help out. Special appreciation to Mary, who represents the company so well in Severna Park.

Lovely store. Lots of home decor and clothing items, as well as sweet books and gifts for kids and some nice Maryland-themed products. And then there's the garden center! A beautiful selection of annuals and perennials, hanging baskets, trees, and shrubs. Also plenty of accessories (pots, potting soil, garden items, etc.) Helpful staff, too. A little on the pricey side (especially the clothing), but that's the case all over these days.

Extremely expensive store with a good selection of various plants. The interior is beautiful and there are ton of fun ornimental lawn decorations. I'd describe this place as one part ritzy tractor supply, and two parts rich grandma's nursery. You can find most of what they have at far better prices elsewhere, but I tend to buy here because it's local and a fun experience.

This place is amazing for more than just garden supplies. It has beautiful home decor, great gifts and a nice selection of pet supplies. Even just walking around the store and seeing how they decorate is fun (seriously, you HAVE to visit when they have all the differently themed Christmas trees during the holidays!).
The staff is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

Love this place!! Everyone is so friendly and helpful. But if I'm being honest, I really go there for the plants. They have a great selection of annuals and perennials as well as pottery for your plants and indoor plants too. They even have a beautiful indoor section where you can find all sorts of wonderful items that would make great gift ideas for someone special or for yourself. They also have patio furniture, gardening equipment, and pet supplies too.Pretty much a little bit of everything. Its a very classy upscale store and it's totally pet friendly. Just don't let your pet drink the water from any of their hoses as it could contain fertilizer, at least that's what I was told by a couple of employees at the Davidsonville location. Enjoy!

Fantastic place. Great selection. Best selection of native plants I’ve seen so far in Maryland. Some of the prices are a bit steep but definitely perfect if you’re looking for particular plants! Great indoor selection - huge variety of small plants for terrariums and ferns. Carnivorous plant selection and health was amazing.

Thanks for getting on board with the native plant movement. I was impressed to see that there were quite a few true native plants available to us, and we did buy some. I believe it was Alice who helped us??? She was a delight…very knowledgeable and professional. Your store is really a great place to shop.

[review based on my obsession with houseplants] Huge selection of plants, such as pothos, snake plants, anthurium, monstera, ferns, succulents and cacti.

So over priced and owner (long grey-haired elderly woman) who rang us up Oct 12 was entirely unprofessional.
Also, I’m 83 and tripped over an extension cord in their clothing department. Thank God my daughter caught me before I fell. Will not be back. (Typical Severna Park establishment attitude.). I love the Davidsonville Homestead though; so much more to choose from and employees are so friendly, which is an added plus for any business that wants to succeed. Take note!

This place is wonderful, especially at Christmas time! Browsing is so much fun. Lovely variety of poinsettia! Speckled and bright pink!!

I decided to have my shears sharpened on Monday by the mobile sharpener that parks in the homestead gardens parking lot on Monday. To kill time I thought it would be nice to browse inside. I was debating getting some plants and soil at first but after the experience I had I decided against it. As soon as I got to browse the plant section I was followed around by a employee for the entire time. I thought maybe she would ask if I needed help but that wasn't the case. Every time I picked up a plant or thought hmm maybe this would be nice she was right there pretending to be doing something but watching me the entire time. You think she would be less obvious about it but anywhere I went she was sure to follow. If you want to feel like your labeled as a thief make sure to come here. Definitely made me feel uncomfortable and I decided to just leave at that point and felt really sad about it cause I think this place has alot to offer and I never had a experience like that until today.

Great place with fun fall, halloween, and christmas decor, outdoor plants and so much more. We found a glow-in-the-dark space puzzle and apple cider donuts. This was after an awesome event for the kids. They had fun making a scarecrow and so did I. We made a vampire scarecrow complete with blood. The guys running the event were so friendly and even though we hadn’t registered for the event they let us build one. So helpful and nice!

We come here just about every weekend with our dog. My wife loves to pick out new plants and I get to pick out toys and treats for my dog. Everyone here is always so friendly and helpful, and they're always adding new things throughout while somehow managing to keep the entire place look organized despite all the constant changes. Having a coffee shop next-door is always a huge plus as well.

Nice gardening store with local gifts and toys. Their mini train garden and plethora of ornaments during the holiday season transform the store into a winter wonderland.

Horrible top soil.

Bought over 6 cubic yards of what was supposed to be "screened" top soil. The soil we bought and put down was full of rocks, both big and small. Must havr been screened with a chain link fence.

The soil we bought earlier from Saunders landscape and supply had no rocks.
