Tom and his team were wonderful! Arrived on time, with a positive attitude. Throughout the 2 days of work, they were courteous, professional, meticulous, and well organized. They were respectful of the property, clearing even the smallest of debris they created. Julie in the office was always responsive and a thorough professional! It is a challenge to come by a business as professional as Potomac Arborists. We will work with them both for our home and business as well. Highly recommend this business!

Potomac River was great. They took a tree down and trimmed a very large oak tree for me. They completed the job in less than a day and cleaned up so it looked like they were never there.

The process was seamless from estimate to completion of the work. Tom and his crew trimmed a large Magnolia, two Crepe Myrtles and two Maple trees and did an excellent job. They showed up as scheduled, reviewed the scope of work, and got right to work. They consulted with us as they went along and reviewed the work at completion. They removed all of the debris and left our property very clean. The cost of the project was extremely fair. We would highly recommend Potomac River Arborists.

We have also received a consultation from their arborist Tom to identify the cause of several dying trees. They are professional, the work is high quality, and the prices are very reasonable. I can't recommend Potomac River Arborists more highly. Seamus took great care to understand the scope of work before a bid was offered--taking photos and making measurements. Communications with Julie about preparations we (and our neighbor) needed to make and about scheduling were easy and quick. When the time came to do the work, Seamus and Jeffrey were careful and thorough in working with the lift operator/sawyer to arrange the complicated pruning of several large, hazardous limbs from a very tall tree in our backyard. Seamus brought exceptional calm, clarity, and kindness to all of his communications with me: hearing my concerns and checking with me about each cut before it was made ensured that I could relax and trust his judgment and skill. I'm over-the-top pleased with the end results of their work and I am deeply grateful for the care they gave to each step along the way--including the cleanup of many limbs, branches, and twigs. The next time we need work on our trees, I will call Potomac River Arborists in a heartbeat.

I recommend Potomac River Arborists. We had a large limb come down from an evening storm. They we're able to come by the same night to provide a proposal, and arrived the next morning to clean it up. Professional service and good communication.

Really great experience tree-trimming and shaping with Potomac River Arborists. We had a very over grown Elm tree that needed significant cutting. Julie/Tom were very responsive & professional from scheduling a price quote to completing the service. They arrived on time and completed the work very fast and safely. They also checked in regularly for feedback. We are really happy with the service and would recommend them to anyone. It is a great family-run business to support.

I have had Potomac Arborists do maintenance work on my large trees 2 times. They did a good job and prices were reasonable (or better). Both times they did some extra small work for free. The owners (brothers who are very knowledgeable) came out first to see what I wanted done (removing a large dead branch, cutting back a lot of branches that hung over my roof (and homeowner's policy said had to trimmed), taking out a dead tree stump, chopping up a tree into firewood that another contractor left in the yard), taking out a large invasive honeysuckle. Their workers definitely love their work. I highly recommend them.

I have worked with a few different “tree experts” over the past several years to deal with big trees on my property. My recent experience with Potomac River Arborists was the best. Tom and the rest of the crew arrived when they were supposed to, were well-equipped and knew what they were doing to get the job done quickly, and they did a great job tending to my storm-damaged tree. The cost was reasonable and clearly negotiated up front. I expect to be calling them again the next time I need work done on my trees.

An absolutely miraculous experience watching Potomac River Arborists take down a massive oak. They are fabulous! From start to finish their work is impeccable. Since then, they have brought our failing willow tree back to life and are now curing our beautiful hawthorn trees of a persistent fungal disease. They are experts in everything arbor.
